kidnapping

kidnapping

I feel so dizzy and in so much pain.

My consciousness was hazy, and the chirping of hundreds of chickens in my ears sounded like they were arguing. The noise was making my head ache, and there was a spot on the back of my head that hurt terribly, as if someone had hit me from behind with a stick. I felt like a tendon in my brain was being pulled painfully, and I couldn't help but groan in pain. I tried to rub it with my hand, but I couldn't lift my head no matter what I did.

The cry of pain seemed to be heard, and the surrounding noise instantly disappeared, everything became quiet. Now you felt much better. You struggled to open your eyes and found yourself tied to a chair, your hands bound behind your back. No wonder you couldn't lift your head. You slowly looked ahead and saw three people standing not far from you, in a triangular formation. It seemed they had just had a heated conversation. Now they were all awkwardly facing you, their faces showing surprise.

You blinked slowly, trying to clear your mind. Your head was foggy, and you were even wondering what they were surprised about.

At that moment, a rough, hoarse male voice rang out, followed by a sharp, shrill voice that echoed back and forth.

"Boss, has this woman woken up?"

"He's definitely awake now, Baldy!"

"Of course I know. I was asking the boss, what are you blind man answering?"

"Boss, look at him!"

The man they called "boss" remained silent and did not respond to their pointless questions.

As you listen to this conversation, you calmly survey the surroundings. The buildings are drafty, with only a few bare pillars connecting the upper floors. The ground is gray and gloomy. Have you arrived at a building where a base has just been built?

You frowned, staring at the ground, pondering where you had fallen into a trap.

Yesterday afternoon, out of concern for you, a friend took the initiative to organize a gathering and warmly invited you to attend. Although you kept insisting that you were not as sad or upset as she imagined, you were still forcibly dragged there by your friend. Looking at the colorful lights in the room shining on the men and women dancing enthusiastically in the middle of the dance floor, you rubbed your head helplessly, feeling a headache, a real headache.

As soon as your friend entered, she was surrounded by her friends. You didn't even have time to say a word to her. Finally, you found a dark and safe corner and just sat down when the person on your right brought you a drink.

"Hi, are you also Lily's friend? I've never seen you before."

Before the words, you could smell the man's alcohol and the woman's perfume. The man was leaning to one side, holding a wine glass in his right hand. The light shifted, and for a few seconds it shone on his face, allowing you to see his face clearly—a face that could only be described as handsome.

You weren't interested in talking to him, so you just glanced at him and looked away, focusing on your phone. You had two files to finish reading, and the other person was in a hurry to get them.

Seeing that you weren't responding, the man curled his lip, his eyes changed instantly, and he gave you a disdainful look before turning around dramatically to continue chatting with his friend. This was to show that he didn't care about your attitude, but his actions clearly said something else entirely.

You blinked, and your memory stopped there. It seems you left a message with your friend on WeChat and then left. You don't know if your friend saw it.

And then what happened? You seem to have no memory of what happened next. You have no recollection of how you were brought here. All your memories stop at the moment you stepped out of that club. You shake your head weakly, trying to shake off the memories.

"Hey, the boss is asking you a question, what are you spacing out for?"

A hand suddenly reaches out in front of you and waves it from side to side, and you instinctively look up.

That's when you finally saw the four people standing in front of you.

One tall, one short, one fat, one thin.

There were actually more than three people, and you were speechless.

The four men covered half their faces with a black cloth, revealing only their eyes. Each man occupied a different position, but they all looked at you simultaneously. The one who had just spoken was the tall man on your left. He looked just like the kind of person you had imagined in your mind, like a big, clumsy guy. Most importantly, he had a shiny, bald head that shone like a pearl in the sunlight.

"With such a shiny bald head, if you try to escape, the police will be able to spot you immediately. It's such an obvious characteristic," you thought to yourself.

Seeing that you were looking at him without saying anything, he spoke again, his voice rough and full of dissatisfaction, "What are you looking at? Do you think we can't do anything to you if you don't talk?"

You frowned. You hadn't heard their question just now, and in the blink of an eye, they were threatening you. Were they that person's men?

You were so impatient, you thought to yourself with a cold smile, but on the surface you kept a straight face, wanting to see what they were up to.

"You still won't speak after all this?" The tall guy scratched his head and looked helplessly at the skinny guy standing in the middle. "Boss, has she gone mad from all the beatings we've done? She still won't say a word." He pointed to his head as he spoke.

Before the skinny guy could even open his mouth, the fat guy on the right immediately retorted, "If I said you were a stupid bald guy, you really are a stupid bald guy. Didn't you see that someone's mouth is taped up? How can he talk?"

You then look at him, and it seems that this person is the blind man we just talked about. He really is blind in one eye, which is bound with a black cloth.

The bald man was immediately provoked by his words. His face turned red, and he stammered, "I, I, of course I know. I don't need you, a blind man, to remind me."

The blind man sneered, saying disdainfully, "Heh, you'd better know that I'm not so kind as to remind you of something so foolish and obvious."

The bald man's eyes widened, blazing with fury.

Seeing the tense atmosphere between the two, the shorter man in the middle spoke up.

"Alright, that's enough, there are still outsiders here."

His deep voice carried a hint of ferocity, making one's heart tremble upon hearing it. "No wonder he's in the top position," you thought to yourself.

Upon hearing this, the two immediately fell silent, fearing that their boss would be angry.

He winked at the fourth person, signaling him to tear off the tape from the man's mouth.

The person snorted, stepped forward, roughly tore off the tape from your mouth, and then stepped back and stood aside without saying a word.

A burning sensation spread from your mouth in an instant, but it was nothing compared to the shock you felt when you saw the person in front of you.

Because the fourth person was actually a woman. You heard right, that hum just now was a woman's sweet voice. She didn't seem to care that her voice had given her away, just as she didn't care how shocking it was to outsiders that a woman was mixed in with a group of assassins.

"Now you can answer the question, right?" a hoarse voice said to you.

You coughed twice to clear your throat, and looking into his dark eyes, calmly said, "What's the problem? I didn't hear you clearly before, could you please repeat it?"

The man visibly frowned; he was starting to get irritated, or perhaps disgusted, you thought to yourself, but outwardly he remained calm.

"Are you Chen Yulan?" the man repeated.

You curled the corners of your mouth into a forced smile as you looked at him. "So what if I am? So what if I am not?"

Clearly, the moment you said that, the people present paused for a moment. Two of them were about to make a move when they heard what you said next, and they immediately froze on the spot, staring at you dumbfounded.

The bald man touched his bald head again, moved closer to the blind man, and whispered to him in a voice he thought no one could hear, his voice filled with doubt.

"Did I hear that right? Was she just messing with us?"

The blind man glared at him, annoyed. What did he want by shouting so loudly? Did he want to drag him down with him since he wasn't dying fast enough?

You chuckled when you heard that sound, and the bald man immediately looked over in surprise, as if he had never heard her speak. The other man's expression seemed to darken even more.

It's hard to believe that these people getting together is actually quite interesting.

"I know who you are. I want to talk business with you." The head selectively ignored the bald man's voice, forcibly pulling your thoughts back.

Oh? Business? You raised an eyebrow, glanced at the body bound hand and foot, then at him, as if to say, "Is this how you do business with me? Tying people up and handing them over to do business?"

The scene fell into a deathly silence again, and everyone fell silent.

'Pfft,' someone laughed again. You looked towards the source of the laughter and saw it coming from the only woman among the four people who was standing in the corner with her face covered, keeping a low profile as if she were invisible.

She chuckled and lifted the black cloth, revealing a delicate face. You were surprised by her action, and then you saw her slowly step forward.

A few minutes later,

You stand in the middle of the house, rubbing your wrist, which has been bound with a red welt. The thick, flaxen rope lies to the side, and the woman smiles as she tosses down the last section of the rope.

"Now, is Mr. Chen willing to talk to us?"

The woman spoke in a soft voice, as if she were coaxing someone, making the listener feel soft and numb, and making them want to fulfill all her requests.

You look at her pretty face and nod unconsciously.

You quickly snapped back to reality and realized something was wrong. You watched the woman warily. What shrewd tactics she had used to make you agree to her request without you even realizing it. You were afraid she would trap you later.

Once the woman receives your reply, she immediately turns around and prepares to leave.

Suddenly, a piece of fabric came into view from not far away.

Huh? What's that? You widen your eyes slightly; the color of that suit looks so familiar.

"Lanlan!" A familiar male voice boomed like a thunderclap in everyone's ears, echoing repeatedly in the empty space.

At this moment, everyone opened their eyes wide and watched a figure descend from the sky, as fierce as an eagle approaching from afar!

Your heart was pounding in your chest, and your pupils reflected the enormous figure that was about to engulf you in the air.

This is really quite exciting for you.
