Chapter 446 Returning to Qin to lodge a complaint!

"How dare you, Baiyue people, do this?"

At dawn, Chu Ping was shouting loudly outside the inn.

Last night they deliberately "eavesdropped" on the news of the Baiyue navy's mobilization, and today they naturally want to use it as an excuse to make a fuss.

"What is the meaning of this, esteemed envoys?" the official in charge of receiving them asked with a forced smile.

"What do you mean?" Wang Pen sneered. "You mobilized your navy in the middle of the night and even sent men to blockade the docks. What are you trying to do? Do you intend to detain our Great Qin delegation?"

The official immediately broke out in a cold sweat: "Absolutely not! We Baiyue people have always treated our guests with sincerity..."

"Bullshit!" Old Dong interrupted him directly, "Your actions are clearly malicious! I think you Baiyue people have some shady dealings going on?"

"Please calm down, everyone!" the official said with a forced smile. "This is all a misunderstanding..."

"A misunderstanding?" Chu Ping slammed his hand on the table. "Then tell me, why did you secretly mobilize your navy at night? Why did you blockade the southern shipping lanes?"

Upon hearing this, the official's expression immediately changed.

How did these people know?

"General Zhang!" He turned to Zhang Erhe, "There must be some misunderstanding here. Why don't you come with me to see the King and explain things to him face to face..."

"No need!" Zhang Erhe waved his hand. "Our Qin delegation came here with sincere intentions. But you Baiyue people are being secretive and secretive at every turn, even secretly deploying troops. This is clearly..."

He paused meaningfully for a moment before saying, "This is clearly a blatant disregard for our Great Qin!"

"How dare I! How dare I!" The official stamped his feet anxiously. "Your Excellency, please don't misunderstand. These are routine transfers, there's absolutely no other intention..."

"Routine mobilization?" Wang Pen chuckled maliciously. "So, you're mobilizing your navy and blockading the ports—are you up to something shady?"

"Absolutely not!"

"Since that's the case, why don't you let us go and take a look?" Chu Ping pressed on, "I want to see what secrets you Baiyue are hiding in the south!"

"This..." The official's forehead was beaded with sweat. These people clearly had ulterior motives!

"Enough!" Zhang Erhe stood up. "Our Qin delegation came here to enhance friendship between our two countries. But it seems that you Baiyue people have no good intentions whatsoever!"

"Your words are incorrect, sir..."

"What's the problem?" Old Dong interjected. "You're on guard at every turn, openly and secretly wary of us. What else could this be but harboring ulterior motives?"

"Exactly!" Wang Pen chimed in, "I think you're all hiding something. Could it be that you're plotting against our Great Qin?"

"I'm innocent!" the official cried, sweating profusely. "Our Baiyue people have always been subservient to Great Qin, and have never harbored any disloyalty..."

"Then why didn't you dare let us go south to take a look?" Chu Ping pressed on. "Why did you secretly mobilize the navy at night? Isn't that just like trying to hide something obvious?"

The official was speechless. These clowns were all capable of causing trouble, and their words always hit the nail on the head.

"Gentlemen..." he wanted to explain further.

"No need to say more!" Zhang Erhe waved his hand. "We've seen enough on this trip. You Baiyue people outwardly submit and pay tribute, but behind the scenes you do something else entirely. We will certainly report today's events to His Majesty truthfully!"

"Envoy, please calm your anger!" the official said urgently. "Should we invite His Majesty to come and explain in person...?"

"No need!" Chu Ping sneered. "Our Qin delegation has traveled the world and has never encountered such an impudent nation! Men, pack your belongings, we're setting off back to Xianyang immediately!"

"Wait!" the official stopped them. "Gentlemen, please calm down. This matter needs an explanation..."

"An explanation? Fine!" Wang Pen's eyes darted around. "Then tell me, why did you Baiyue set up defenses in the south? Why did you blockade the shipping routes? Can you explain these things clearly?"

"This..." The official was speechless. These were all classified information; how could he dare to speak carelessly?

"Enough!" Zhang Erhe feigned indignation. "Even now you're still trying to cover things up. I think you Baiyue are fearless and don't take our Great Qin seriously at all!"

"Let's go!" he waved his hand dismissively. "I want to see how His Majesty will react when he finds out!"

Having said that, he turned to leave with his men. The official tried to stop him, but Chu Ping shoved him aside: "Get out of the way! Do you intend to force us to stay?"

"No, no!" the official waved his hands repeatedly, "but leaving so rashly might...

"What are you afraid of?" Old Dong sneered. "You Baiyue people are afraid because you have a guilty conscience, aren't you? Very well, let His Majesty see what you're really up to!"

The group left without hesitation, heading out of the inn with an imposing air.

The official was in a dilemma, unsure whether to stop them or not, and was so anxious he kept stamping his feet.

"Quickly report to the King!" he said to his attendants. "Tell him that the Qin delegation wants to return and complain, saying that we Baiyue harbor malicious intentions..."

Zhang Erhe led his men toward the dock without hesitation or delay, giving Baiyue no chance to explain.

On the way, Chu Ping leaned closer and whispered, "General, won't our departure alert the enemy?"

"To stir up trouble?" Zhang Erhe sneered. "That's perfect! Since Yi Yusong refuses to tell the truth, let him slip up on his own!"

"Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant!" Wang Pen gave a thumbs up. "You wouldn't believe how anxious that official was, he was almost in tears. If this gets back to Yi Yusong's ears..."
