Under the dim light, Qin warships advanced toward other islands in Japan.
"Grand Commandant, the intelligence gathering is complete." Zhang Erhe unfolded the map. "Besides Edo and Osaka, there are three other major islands. Each island has tens of thousands of Japanese people..."
The wicked man coldly scanned the map: "Very good. This time, we'll show these Japanese what true genocide is! Order all units to prepare for a divided operation."
He drew several lines on the map: "Meng Tian, you will lead twenty warships to deal with Kyushu Island. Remember, it is the granary of the Japanese; it must be completely destroyed!"
"Your subordinate obeys!"
"Wang Li, you will take thirty warships to deal with Shikoku Island. The Japanese there are the most unruly; this Grand Commandant will make them disappear from this land forever!"
"Your humble servant obeys!"
"As for this Grand Commandant..." His gaze flashed like lightning, "I'll go and meet those Japanese in the north. They're hiding on the northernmost island, thinking they can survive. I'll see how long they can hide!"
The order was quickly relayed, and the massive fleet began to disperse.
Off the coast of Kyushu.
Meng Tian's warships approached silently. The Japanese here were unaware of the devastation in Edo and Osaka and were fishing on the shore.
"Prepare!" Meng Tian commanded. "I will make these Japanese pirates pay with their lives for the Qin Dynasty!"
A dense rain of arrows covered the entire beach. The Japanese fishermen, before they could even react, were riddled with arrows. Many more tried desperately to escape, but were blocked by the Qin army who had been lying in ambush.
"Kill! Leave no one alive!"
After landing, the Qin army quickly dispersed and advanced into the island. The island was primarily a rice-growing region, with farmland everywhere. The Japanese laborers working in the fields were terrified upon seeing the Qin army.
"Set it on fire! Burn these fields to the ground!"
Rockets ignited countless rice paddies. The fire swept across the entire island, reducing vast tracts of grain to ashes. Those Japanese who tried to put out the fire were captured and executed on the spot.
"No! We are civilians..."
"Civilians?" Qin Jun sneered. "The Grand Commandant has ordered that every single Japanese be killed!"
A flash of blade, a splatter of blood. The Qin army's slaughter was utterly thorough, indiscriminately killing men, women, and children alike. Soon, the entire Kyushu island was transformed into a living hell.
Meanwhile, on Shikoku Island.
Wang Li's warships had already surrounded the entire island. The Japanese people here were known for their fierce nature and martial prowess. But their bravery was useless against the Qin army's new weapons.
"put!"
Greek fire erupted, setting the houses on the shore ablaze. Warriors who rushed out to resist were engulfed in flames before they could even get close. Many more tried to escape into the mountains, but were intercepted by the Qin army, who had been lying in ambush.
"Kill! Leave no one alive!"
The Qin army launched a thorough search. Every possible hiding place was searched, and any survivors found were immediately executed. Some Japanese hid in caves, which the Qin army attacked with fire; others hid deep in the mountains, which the Qin army set on fire.
The entire island was shrouded in thick smoke. Countless Japanese people perished under the flames and swords, their cries echoing through the valleys.
At the northernmost point, the wicked man personally led his army to attack.
This was Japan's last hope. Large numbers of Japanese fled here, thinking they could escape disaster. Little did they know, an even more terrible fate awaited them.
"Give the order to the entire army," the wicked man said coldly. "Not a single one of these Japanese is to be spared! I, the Grand Commandant, will make sure that all of Japan remembers this lesson forever!"
The horrific carnage unfolded once again.
The Qin army was divided into dozens of small teams, searching house to house. Every place where people could hide was searched, and anyone found alive was immediately executed.
Some Japanese people sought refuge in shrines, praying for divine protection.
The Qin army set fire to the shrine, reducing it to ashes.
Those trapped inside were burned alive, their screams echoing throughout the room.
Many more fled into the deep mountains and forests, hoping to escape the calamity. The Qin army dispatched elite troops to pursue them, while simultaneously setting the mountains ablaze. Desperate cries echoed through the thick smoke, but no one paid them any heed.
Some tried to escape by boat to more distant places. However, the Qin army's warships had already laid a net, and all the ships that tried to escape were intercepted, and all the crew members were killed.
One day later, the entire Ashihara Island had become a hellish place.
The wicked ruler personally surveyed this land. From the coast to the inland, from the plains to the mountains, the Qin army's iron hooves trampled every inch of the land.
"Grand Commandant," Zhang Erhe pointed to a village in the distance, "another group of Japanese soldiers hiding there has been discovered. They've dug secret passages in their cellars and are communicating with each other..."
"Ha." The wicked man sneered, "Since they like digging holes, let them stay underground forever! Pass down the order: flood the area!"
The Qin army immediately sprang into action. They diverted water from nearby rivers and filled the tunnels. The Japanese hiding inside either drowned or were forced to crawl out, only to be killed by the waiting Qin soldiers.
"Grand Commandant!" another scout reported, "A large settlement has been discovered in the mountains. The fleeing Japanese nobles are hiding there, numbering over ten thousand..."
"Perfect!" A cold glint flashed in the wicked man's eyes. "This Grand Commandant wants to see how long these high and mighty Japanese nobles can withstand the iron hooves of my Great Qin!"
Mountain settlements.
Countless Japanese people crowded into the valley, mostly nobles and samurai who had fled from various places. They originally thought they could survive by hiding in such a place, but little did they know that they had been discovered by the Qin army.
"Release the arrows!"
A dense rain of arrows covered the entire valley. Specially designed rockets, laden with oil, instantly set the camp ablaze. Those trying to escape the valley ran right into the ambush of Qin soldiers and were hacked to death.
