On the way, the wicked man kept receiving reports from various places.
"Grand Commandant, the entire territory of Goryeo has been cleared. A total of sixty-three old cities have been demolished and are being rebuilt according to the Qin system."
"Grand Commandant, one hundred and twenty beacon towers have been built along the coast, ensuring the navy's safe patrols."
"Grand Commandant, the last group of Goryeo people who escaped have been executed, totaling over three thousand."
Every piece of news made the wicked husband nod in satisfaction. The cleanup work in Goryeo was nearing completion; next came the end for the Sushen and Buyeo!
Ten days later, at the Sushen border.
As the Qin army advanced, they could see the Sushen mountain stronghold in the distance. Smoke curled from its chimneys, clearly unaware of the impending doom.
"Order the entire army to set up camp!" the wicked man commanded. "The encirclement and annihilation will begin first thing tomorrow morning!"
That night, the wicked man summoned his generals in his tent and made final tactical arrangements.
"The Sushen people are scattered throughout the mountains, making it difficult to wipe them out in one fell swoop. Therefore, we will adopt a tactic of encirclement and division, first sealing off all the mountain passes to cut off their communication. Then we will eliminate them one by one, giving them no chance to breathe!"
He pointed to several key locations on the map: "Meng Tian, you lead 100,000 main force troops to launch a frontal assault. Wang Li, you lead 50,000 cavalry to flank from the east. The rest of the troops will follow me to the west, forming a three-sided encirclement!"
