In the southern jungles, Meng Tian led his army through them.
The damp air reeked of decay, and the dense canopy of trees blocked out the sunlight. Every inch of this land was fraught with danger, as enemies could launch a surprise attack from the shadows at any moment.
"General!" A scout rushed in, "Scouts from the Dian Kingdom were spotted ahead and intercepted by our troops. We found this on them..."
Meng Tian took a bamboo slip with several words crookedly carved on it: "Be careful! The main force of the Qin army has crossed the Dadu River and is advancing towards Dianchi Lake..."
"Heh." He sneered. "It seems these southern barbarian intelligence networks are still somewhat effective. However..."
Before the words were finished, shouts of battle suddenly came from afar.
"Reporting, General!" Another scout galloped in, "We've spotted an ambush of Dian troops five li away, about three thousand strong! They're setting up traps..."
"Order the archers to prepare for battle!"
The Qin army quickly formed ranks. Thousands of improved "swarms of bees" were ready and waiting, just in time to make a mistake in the enemy's defenses.
Sure enough, Dian soldiers soon emerged from the woods, attempting to raid the Qin army's supply train.

At a command, a dense rain of arrows blanketed the entire jungle. The improved arrows easily pierced the dense canopy, riddling the enemies below with holes.
Even more terrifying were the oil-filled bladders. Upon hitting their targets, the arrows would ignite instantly, setting the surrounding vegetation ablaze. Flames shot into the sky, billowing thick smoke. The Dian soldiers, hidden in the shadows, were forced to rush out, only to find themselves encircled by the Qin army.

The Qin army pounced like wolves and tigers, slaughtering the enemy. In just half an hour, more than three thousand Dian soldiers were wiped out. Their bodies were piled up and set on fire.
"Order the entire army!" Meng Tian commanded. "Continue the advance!"
Meanwhile, on the eastern front.
Wang Li's troops were crossing a swamp. The area was filled with miasma, and a slight misstep could lead to poisoning. However, the Qin army was well-prepared, and everyone had taken a specially made antidote from the Mohist school, so they were not afraid.
"General!" a scout reported, "We've spotted a Yelang camp ahead, with about five thousand men. They seem to be waiting for reinforcements from the Dian Kingdom..."
A cold glint flashed in Wang Li's eyes: "Order the archers to prepare for a night raid!"
That night, the moon was dark and the wind was high.
The Yelang people's camp was brightly lit, clearly unaware of the impending danger.
"put!"
Countless rockets pierced the sky and landed in the camp. The thatched tents were instantly set ablaze, flames shooting into the sky. The panicked Yelang soldiers rushed out, only to run right into the Qin army's arrow barrage.

Amidst piercing screams, countless men were riddled with arrows. Those generals who attempted to organize a counterattack were pierced through the heart by a hail of arrows, falling with their grievances fading. Many more were engulfed in flames in the chaos, their bodies never to be found.
"Kill! Leave no one alive!"
The Qin army surged into the camp like a tidal wave, unleashing a frenzied massacre. In just one hour, all five thousand Yelang soldiers were slaughtered. Their bodies were thrown into the swamp, where they quickly sank to the bottom of the mud.
On the western front, Zhang Erhe's cavalry was also on the move.
Although the mountainous terrain made horsemanship difficult, the Qin army was prepared. They temporarily stationed their warhorses on flat ground and switched to infantry tactics.
"Reporting, General!" a scout reported, "A supply route for the Dian Kingdom has been discovered in the valley ahead. A large amount of baggage is being transported..."
Zhang Erhe's eyes lit up: "Cut off their supplies! Order the archers to prepare an ambush!"
The next morning, a thick fog blanketed the area.
A supply convoy from the Dian Kingdom was moving slowly forward. Hundreds of horse-drawn carts, loaded with provisions, struggled along the rugged mountain road.

Suddenly, a dense rain of arrows poured down from both sides of the hillside. The improved "swarm" volley proved its most effective in this terrain. The oil-soaked arrows struck the wagon, instantly igniting the grain rations. Flames shot into the sky, billowing thick smoke.
Before the escorting Dian soldiers could react, they were riddled with arrows. Those who tried to put out the fire were caught in a second volley of arrows and died instantly.
"Kill! Leave no one alive!"
The Qin army attacked from both sides and massacred the supply train. In just half an hour, they had killed all three thousand Dian soldiers. The grain and fodder were burned to ashes, and the bodies were buried on the spot.
"Order the entire army," Zhang Erhe commanded. "Continue the search! Don't miss a single supply line!"
And so, the Qin army's three armies began their operations. Like three sharp blades, they sliced the jungle into pieces. No enemy could escape!
Meanwhile, the navy was also in action.
"boom!"
A Dian Kingdom warship was smashed to pieces, and its soldiers fell into the river. The Qin army's warships had already laid iron nets, and they pulled all the soldiers out and executed them on the spot.
The water was littered with wreckage, and blood stained the river red. Qin warships patrolled back and forth, ensuring that no enemy ship could escape.
Just then, a scout reported: "Reporting to the general! A Dian Kingdom water fortress has been discovered upstream, seemingly their logistical base..."
"All troops, listen up! Prepare for a full-scale assault!"
The warships rapidly approached the water fortress. Archers stood ready, swarming in and aiming at the buildings within the fortress.
"put!"
A barrage of rockets rained down on the entire water fortress. The thatched houses were instantly ablaze, flames shooting skyward. The Yunnan soldiers who fled in panic were killed by a hail of arrows, their bodies falling into the river.
"Kill! Leave no one alive!"
After landing, the Qin army launched a massacre. Within an hour, the entire water fortress was razed to the ground. More than three thousand Dian soldiers were all killed, and their bodies were thrown into the river.
