Chapter 7 The Wicked Husband: Not only does he refuse to surrender, he also wants to counterattack us!

"Oh?"

"Say that!"

The wicked man laughed, a very sunny and warm laugh. If it weren't for the blood all over him, one would think he was a pure and innocent young man.

"Brothers, not only do they refuse to surrender, they even want to counterattack us?!"

The wicked husband, his voice laced with amusement, suddenly roared, "What do you suggest we do?"

"Kill—!" The five hundred Qin soldiers behind them roared in unison. Despite the enemy outnumbering them by several times, they had the upper hand.

"Okay, okay!"

Wang Meng was amused by the 'blood-covered man' in front of him and the Qin soldiers behind him. He had never seen anyone so fearless. Too lazy to waste words, he drew his sword from his waist and roared, "Follow me and wipe out these arrogant Qin soldiers!"

"superior!"

Seeing Wang Meng launch an attack, the wicked man, carrying the Qin sword, was the first to charge forward.

"Sizzle..."

Meng Ao's sword was extremely sharp, easily slicing through the leather armor of the rebel guards.

The wicked man was agile and swift. In the instant he killed the three people in front of him, he dodged the long sword that came from the side and stabbed it through the heart with a backhand.

"Who can stop me?" The wicked man roared, his voice like a thunderclap, causing the surrounding rebels to instinctively take a few steps back.

"That's all there is to it!"

A look of disdain flashed across his face, and the villain moved his feet, instantly rushing into the crowd. The Qin sword in his hand flashed with a cold light, spraying blood everywhere.

Relying on his terrifying strength and the sharpness of his sword, those who were struck by the wicked man were all left with horrific wounds, collapsing to the ground and losing too much blood, slowly losing their lives.

Seeing the young general killing people like cutting melons and vegetables, Wang Meng immediately lost his temper. He grabbed his long sword and charged towards the wicked man. If he continued to kill like this, his personal guards probably wouldn't be able to hold out for long.

He seized an opportunity when the wicked man's strength had not yet fully developed, and with his longsword like a venomous snake spitting its tongue, he stabbed at the wicked man's heart at a very tricky angle.

"Clang!" The two swords clashed, sparks flying. A hint of surprise flashed in Wang Meng's eyes; he hadn't expected this 'blood man' to possess such skill.

Even though it was a sudden attack, the wicked man's strength was terrifying, causing Wang Meng's tiger's mouth to split open and his entire arm to feel numb and tingly, leaving him unable to exert any strength for a moment.

"die!"

"Sizzle..."

Without the slightest hesitation, the wicked man slashed his longsword upwards along Wang Meng's blade. Sparks flew as the two swords rubbed together. With a backhand swing, the wicked man's head fell to the ground.

Wang Meng never imagined, even in his death, that the young general before him possessed such terrifying strength, surpassing even his own robust strength, which was the best he had ever had.

"The enemy general is beheaded, hahahaha..." The wicked man bent down, picked up the head that was still staring blankly at the ground, and then raised it high, his smile as arrogant as could be.

"The squad leader is mighty! Wind, wind, strong wind—!"

The Qin soldiers who followed him were completely excited. They would also benefit from the merit of killing the general. With their hearts burning with excitement, they charged towards the terrified rebel army like wolves and tigers.

"The...the general is dead?"

"What should we do? Should we lower the price?"

These rebel guards were at a loss, and their resistance weakened considerably as they were swiftly slaughtered by the Qin soldiers.

"Brothers, leave no one alive!" The wicked man slowly walked forward, carrying a bloodstained sword, and said with a ferocious smile, "I am not one to eat alone. I will kill them and go back to exchange them for wealth and glory."

His words plunged the rebel guards into utter despair. Many turned and ran, their faces deathly pale, clearly terrified.

"Chase them! Don't let a single one escape!" The wicked man casually slashed down two rebel soldiers in front of him with his sword. Seeing them turn to flee, he immediately ordered a pursuit.

Once you've got the ducks in your hand, why let them fly away?

The Qin soldiers charged towards the rebel army like tigers descending the mountain, brandishing their Qin swords and roaring. Many wounded Qin soldiers were unwilling to give up the opportunity to gain merit, and limped along with their Qin swords to follow and kill the rebels.

The wicked man grinned and, carrying the blood-stained Qin Jian, entered the luxurious mansion alone, just as several clan leaders hurried towards them.

The moment they saw the wicked husband, despair filled their hearts. They stood there dumbfounded, as if struck by lightning. Especially when they saw the head with its eyes wide open, hanging from their waist, they were almost scared to death.

"What... what do you want to do?!" the Sun family patriarch roared, his voice trembling with fear. Luckily, he had some knowledge of the world, but the person behind him was so scared that he wet his pants.

"Great Qin, Squad Leader, Evil Man!" The Evil Man's lips curled into a terrifying smile as he wiped the blood from his face, making him look even more horrifying.

"Judging from your flustered appearance, you must be in cahoots with that Wang Meng, right?"

"If you don't want to die, stay here obediently!"

The clan leaders felt a tremor in their hearts as they looked at Qin Jian, who was still bleeding profusely, and swallowed hard.

The Sun family patriarch suppressed his fear and said with a humble smile, "Young general, you misunderstand. We were all coerced by Wang Meng to come here."

"If you let us go back, we are willing to give you a reward of one hundred taels of silver as a token of our gratitude."

Judging from his experienced eyes, the boy in front of him was at most fourteen or fifteen years old. At this age, he had joined the army and was covered in blood, so he must have come from a poor family and had little experience.

Two hundred gold coins? He didn't believe this kid wouldn't be tempted!

The more he thought about it, the more certain he became, and a confident smile appeared on his face, a stark contrast to his earlier anxious demeanor.

"Two hundred taels of gold?" The wicked husband's eyes lit up, but he feigned difficulty, saying, "Qin law is harsh; this is a severe punishment that could implicate entire families..."

He didn't make any definitive statements, deliberately leaving room for negotiation.

Good heavens!

The clan leaders exchanged glances, their faces lighting up with delight. As cunning old foxes, how could they not understand the meaning behind the wicked husband's words?

It's just adding money!

They have little else but plenty of money. As long as you let them go, money is no problem at all.

The six clan leaders huddled together and whispered among themselves. After a moment, the Sun clan leader said with a feigned serious expression, "I am but a commoner, and I do not wish for any unforeseen complications."

"The young general's concerns are also valid!"

"Alright!" The Sun family patriarch held up one finger and whispered, "To avoid trouble for everyone, our six families are willing to pool together one thousand taels of gold to compensate the young general, is that alright?"

The wicked man almost couldn't hold back his laughter. He put on a stern face and pretended to be unhappy, saying in a very impatient tone, "Fine, a thousand it is. You're lucky you met someone as easy to talk to as me. If it were anyone else, I guarantee you would have already lost your heads."

The six clan leaders forced smiles and hurriedly gathered around the wicked husband, enduring the pungent, fishy smell emanating from him, offering obsequious flattery.

The wicked man's smile carried an ambiguous meaning. He suddenly changed his mind. The fact that he could take out a thousand taels of gold so easily proved that he was very wealthy.

He was about to be promoted, and his men would be greatly increased. He couldn't let them continue to fight the enemy in tattered clothes and carrying tetanus blades.

"Our brothers' equipment and our long weapons are now in your hands!"
