The Turkish Empire.
Inside the palace, the King of Turkey, wearing a golden crown, sat on the throne. His beard was white, and his face was covered with wrinkles, making him look quite old, but his eyes were very bright.
Below, many ministers stood on both sides.
The King of Turkey turned the pages of the letter in his hand, his brows furrowing deeply, his expression quite solemn.
Below, many officials looked at him with complicated expressions.
After all, that letter came from the Macedonian Empire, the most powerful empire at the time. In other words, that letter determined the fate of Turkey.
Judging from the appearance of the King of Turkey, the situation was clearly not good, otherwise he wouldn't have looked like that.
A moment later, the King of Turkey put down the letter and looked down with a complicated expression. "The Macedonian Empire has rejected our request for support. If war breaks out, we will have to find our own way to get supplies."
Upon hearing this, the ministers exchanged bewildered glances, their expressions quite strange.
The Turkish Grand Master stepped forward and said, "We have already offered a 30% interest rate, and we will honor the agreement once we win. Even so, the Macedonian Empire is unwilling."
The Imperial Advisor wore a white and green robe, had long white hair, blond hair, and blue eyes. He looked to be in his thirties or forties and had a very well-proportioned figure.
The King of Turkey sighed, "Victory, the problem lies in this damned victory!"
Yes, if they win, Turkey's national strength will be greatly enhanced, and repaying the debts of the Macedonian Empire will be much easier.
But if they were defeated, it would be a big question whether the Turkish Empire could still exist, let alone repay its debts.
Therefore, for the Macedonian Empire, borrowing supplies was a huge gamble. If they won, the gains would be substantial, but if they lost, the losses would be enormous.
Judging from the Macedonian Empire's attitude now, it's clear that Alexander the Great of Macedonia was unwilling to take the gamble.
Upon hearing this, the Turkish Grand Preceptor's expression turned solemn, and he said, "In that case, the matter of starting a war will probably need to be reconsidered."
When two armies clash, they must be fully prepared and cannot afford to make any mistakes.
Defeat would be devastating for an empire.
The reason I considered starting a war was that with the help of the Macedonian Empire, Turkey's military strength would be greatly enhanced, making it worth a try.
But now that the Macedonian Empire has refused to help, the risks are on a completely different level than before, so it's time to assess them carefully.
Upon hearing this, the other officials frowned slightly, their expressions also quite solemn.
The King of Turkey's expression shifted slightly. "Reconsider. Do you think we're qualified to consider this?"
At this point, the King of Turkey's gaze turned cold, and his voice became heavy, "We are already short of resources, and our relationship with Liberk is irreconcilable. If we cannot conquer Liberk within six months, Turkey will be thrown into chaos."
"When our internal strength weakens, our external enemies will seize the opportunity to bite us off in one fell swoop, and Turkey will cease to exist!"
As the powerful voice resounded throughout the hall, the entire hall fell silent, and all the ministers frowned, remaining silent.
The King of Turkey looked at his ministers with a solemn expression. "Don't you understand? Taking Liberk is our only way out. It's the only way for Turkey to survive!"
After he finished speaking, the palace fell into a deathly silence; you could hear a pin drop.
They naturally knew that what the King of Turkey said was true, and they were aware of the major problems Turkey was facing, but they couldn't think of a solution for the time being.
Because their only reliance, the Macedonian Empire, had already rejected them, and the resources needed to start a war were extremely large, making the task even more difficult.
After a moment of silence, the Turkish Grand Master stepped forward, cupped his hands, and said, "Prince Liebek has been captured. If we can work on him, we might be able to turn the tide of the war."
Upon hearing this, the King of Turkey's eyes flickered slightly. "Bring him here!"
Soon, General Turlan, accompanied by two lieutenants, personally escorted the young man from the prison cart up.
Upon seeing the King of Turkey, the Turkish general knelt on one knee and said, "Greetings, Your Majesty!"
Turlan looked down at Prince Liebek, his eyes brightening slightly. "Well done, General. Your achievements will be remembered for eternity, and the people of Turlan will forever remember your deeds."
General Turlan bowed slightly, "It is my honor to be able to contribute to Turlan!"
The King of Turkey stood up, stepped down from his throne, and approached Prince Liebeck. He looked at the prince with a mocking gaze, as if he were looking at captured prey. "Well then, let me see how much you're worth."
Facing the gaze of the King of Turkey, Prince Liebek frowned, making no attempt to hide his disdain. "If you're thinking of trading my life for something, you've got the wrong idea."
The King of Turkey did not believe this explanation, and said calmly, "Your value will be determined by your father."
"Take him away!"
He immediately gave the order, and Prince Liebherr was taken away.
After Prince Liebek was taken away, the Turkish Grand Master said, "If we can get supplies through him, then we might still have a chance to survive."
No matter what, he was still a prince of Liebec, with the royal blood of Liebec flowing through his veins. If the King of Liebec truly ignored him, it would surely give rise to gossip and subject him to much criticism.
The Turanian Grand Master naturally believed that Prince Liebeck's statement was a bluff to benefit the Kingdom of Liebeck.
Just then, General Turlan stepped forward, cupped his hands, and said, "Your humble servant has discovered a foreign land that may be of some help to the Empire."
