Consort Shu looked at Little Huhai with considerable confusion, "How did you end up here?"
Little Hu Hai replied, "I came out to look for you because I saw you weren't there."
The little guy stepped forward, reached out and hugged little Hu Hai, felt him for a moment, and then grinned and said, "Hai Guo is alright!"
Consort Shu explained, "I saw that you were seriously injured, so I went to find some medicinal herbs. You must take them; they will help you recover quickly."
Little Hu Hai nodded, "Thank you, Mother!"
No sooner had she finished speaking than several eunuchs came out from behind Consort Shu, pulling two large carriages full of things.
Xiao Huhai was taken aback. "A little bit of medicinal herbs?"
Consort Shu smiled and said, "Well, you were seriously injured this time, so I prepared a little extra. From now on, you don't need to eat rice; just eat this."
Little Hu Hai looked at Consort Shu with a strange expression. Why did he feel that his mother was becoming a bit like Consort Liang?
Ying Zheng stepped forward, and Xiao Huhai quickly cupped his hands, saying, "Your subject greets Your Majesty!"
Ying Zheng gave him a deep look, then reached out and patted his shoulder. "Well done! If it weren't for you, Yu'er and Consort Shu would have been in danger!"
Little Hu Hai cupped his hands and said, "Protecting my mother and younger brother is simply my duty!"
Ying Zheng's eyes flickered slightly. "Such spirit at such a young age, excellent! Truly worthy of being my son!"
He wanted to offer some praise, but then, remembering that he had few memories of Xiao Huhai, he frowned and asked, "By the way, what was your name again?"
Although Ying Zheng had met Xiao Huhai a few times, he did not remember his full name.
Consort Shu called him Xiao Hai, and the little guy called him Hai Guo. Ying Zheng hadn't specifically inquired about him, so naturally he didn't know his full name.
Young Hu Hai cupped his hands and said, "Your subject Ying Hu Hai greets Your Majesty!"

Outside the hall, the Eighth Prince stood with a furious expression. "How dare he hit me! We must get justice for us from our maternal grandfather!"
The Ninth Prince, standing beside the Eighth Prince, was somewhat frightened. "Maybe we should just give up, Eighth Brother. I'm really afraid he'll kill Grandfather."
The Eighth Prince angrily rebuked, "Fool! My maternal grandfather is the Right Chancellor of the Great Qin Dynasty. Do you think he can just kill him as he pleases?"
Inside the hall, Feng Quji was reviewing documents when suddenly a commotion arose outside, "Grandfather! Grandfather!"
The Eighth Prince rushed into the hall, and the steward couldn't stop him. "Eighth Prince, the Prime Minister is dealing with documents. You can't go in!"
The Eighth Young Master entered the room, and the steward looked at Feng Quji with a troubled expression, "Prime Minister, the young master..."
Feng Quji waved his hand, and the steward withdrew.
He then put down the documents, stood up, and looked tenderly at the two of them, "Oh, my dear grandson, what's wrong with you two..."
He wanted to hug the two children, but when he saw that they both had bruises and swelling on their faces, he was stunned. "How did you get like this?"
The eighth son's eyes reddened. "Grandfather, you must help us get justice! We were beaten!"
Feng Quji's eyes turned slightly cold. "Who hit him?"
The Eighth Prince replied, "Hu Hai! The Eighteenth Prince!"
Feng Quji frowned. "Hu Hai?"
As a veteran official, he remembered the name.
After all, no matter how unfavored those people are, they are still His Majesty's children, and they should know something to avoid committing a terrible mistake.
Ying Huhai, on the other hand, was always a nobody, with little presence, and he didn't pay much attention to him.
After a moment of silence, Feng Quji asked again, "Why did he hit you?"
The eighth young master cried, feeling wronged. "We were just passing by when we heard him cursing, so we confronted him, and he hit us!"
While crying, he secretly winked at the Ninth Prince.
Seeing this, the Ninth Prince could only grit his teeth and say, "Yes, Grandfather, he said Mother deserved to die and cursed our whole family to die, that's why we went to argue with him!"
Feng Quji's eyes grew even colder.
He had heard that Hu Hai and Consort Shu were getting close.
It's understandable that Hu Hai would scold Consort Li because she wanted to harm Consort Shu and thus died.
Although Consort Li was not a good match, she was still his child, his own flesh and blood.
To be insulted by an unknown child filled Feng Quji with anger. "What kind of Tom, Dick, or Harry dares to bully us? Do they really think our Feng family is a pushover?!"
He stormed out the door.
Being suppressed by His Majesty is one thing, after all, his status and power are what they are, and there's nothing he can do about it.
But you are an unfavored prince with no powerful maternal family, what right do you have to bully him?
······
Inside the hall, Ying Zheng looked at Xiao Huhai and said, "You saved Yu'er and Consort Shu this time, which is a great achievement. Now, tell me, what do you want?"
Little Hu Hai cupped his hands and said, “Protecting my mother and younger brother is what I should do; I do not ask for any reward!”
Ying Zheng nodded slightly, "You are sensible, but there should always be a reward. Speak."
No sooner had he finished speaking than a voice rang out, "Your Majesty! Your Majesty!"
It was Feng Quji who hurriedly entered the hall.
Ying Zheng frowned. "What's with the panic!"
Feng Quji quickly cupped his hands in greeting, "Your Majesty, this humble subject pays respects! And greets Consort Shu!"
Ying Zheng looked at him, "What is it?"
Feng Quji cupped his hands and said, "Your Majesty, my two grandsons have been beaten. You must avenge them!"
He was not only his grandson, but also Ying Zheng's son.
Ying Zheng was taken aback. "Who dares to be so bold?"
How dare they beat a royal heir?
Feng Quji was about to answer when he looked up and saw a figure sitting not far away that looked somewhat familiar.
Upon closer inspection, he quickly recognized it as Hu Hai.
He looked puzzled. "Why is Prince Huhai here?"
Ying Zheng replied, "Xiao Hai saved Yu'er and Consort Shu; he is their savior. I am currently discussing rewarding him."
