The viper pushed hard, and the powerful force sent Little Hu Hai staggering backward.
Then, Viper took a step forward and instantly appeared in front of Xiao Huhai, raising his greatsword high and pressing down on Xiao Huhai with a violent aura.
Xiao Huhai frowned, pushed off with his foot, and flashed into the air.
Looking down, he was taken aback.
The viper that was just below had vanished without a trace.
The next instant, the viper's mocking voice rang out, "Here."
Little Hu Hai panicked and quickly turned his head, only to see the giant sword hurtling towards him, its momentum as imposing as a mountain.
At such close range and at such high speed, Xiao Huhai knew he could not avoid it.
He frowned, raised his longsword, and blocked the giant sword.
The giant sword crashed down on the longsword, and a violent force instantly spread out, sending Xiao Huhai flying backward and crashing to the ground with a bang.
Dust billowed and swept through, the powerful impact causing the entire earth to tremble.
As the dust slowly settled, Xiao Huhai stood up, blood sliding down his forehead onto his dust-covered face.
Before he could even catch his breath, a terrifying killing intent struck from his right.
The viper, which had been hovering in the air just moments before, suddenly appeared on the right. He gripped his greatsword tightly with both hands and swept it horizontally, sending the greatsword crashing down on Xiao Huhai with tremendous force.
This sword strike was terrifyingly powerful; its immense sword intent caused even the void to tremble slightly.
Sensing the terror of this sword strike, Xiao Huhai did not choose to confront it head-on. Instead, he flashed and landed on a boulder ten steps away, preparing to dodge the attack.
But as soon as he took a step, his expression changed instantly.
The giant sword followed closely and slashed down from above.
With no way to avoid it, Xiao Huhai had no choice but to raise his longsword with both hands to block it.
"boom--"
The giant sword struck the longsword, the immense force bending the small body, and cracks appeared on the boulder beneath its feet.
Sweat beaded on Xiao Huhai's forehead. He gritted his teeth, let out a roar, and pushed the longsword with all his might.
With all his might, the giant sword was slowly pushed up, and Xiao Huhai's bent arm slowly straightened.
Seeing Xiao Huhai's desperate resistance, the viper's eyes turned icy cold. "A death throes!"
He gripped the greatsword tightly with both hands, and with a sudden slam, a primordial power surged forth from the greatsword, overwhelming the longsword.
Under the immense pressure, Xiao Huhai's entire body plummeted, and the boulder in which he was formed instantly collapsed, sending dust surging in all directions like a tidal wave.
The viper landed not far away, its gaze calmly fixed on the dust.
A gust of wind blew by, the dust settled, and Xiao Huhai lay on the ground, his whole body stained red with blood.
Seeing this, Viper ignored him and turned to deal with Consort Shu.
But as soon as he turned around, he heard a noise behind him.
His expression changed slightly, and he turned around to look. He saw that Xiao Huhai had stood up again, trembling, and only managed to stand steadily with the support of his long sword.
"puff!"
A mouthful of blood spurted from his mouth, staining the gravel red.
He had already suffered internal injuries.
The viper looked at him. "Even so, you still want to stand up?"
Little Hu Hai slowly raised the long sword in his hand, "You are not allowed to harm them!"
No sooner had he finished speaking than the viper darted out and appeared before Little Hu Hai in the blink of an eye.
The giant sword swept across, slashing straight at Xiao Huhai's neck, its reflection magnified in Xiao Huhai's pupils.
He quickly raised his longsword to block, but the impact sent him flying, crashing into a wall like a meteor.
Cracks appeared like a spider web as Little Hu Hai's small body crashed into the wall, causing it to collapse.
He slid down the wall to the ground, his body hunched over, his pupils beginning to dilate.
The viper's eyes were cold. "The weak can't change anything."
"Xiaohai!"
Consort Shu burst into tears, her eyes streaming down her face.
"asshole!"
Her gaze turned cold, and she charged toward the viper.
With a single wave of his hand, Viper unleashed a violent force that sent Consort Shu flying, crashing to the ground.
After confirming that Xiao Huhai was no longer moving, Viper looked at Consort Shu and said, "You should worry about yourself."
After speaking, he gripped the greatsword tightly and slowly walked towards Consort Shu.
Little Hu Hai lay on the ground, his consciousness beginning to fade.
Is this the end of the road?
So, it seems I really can't do anything after all?
Memories began to surface in my mind.
He was bullied by the Eighth and Ninth Young Masters, who walked menacingly toward the little guy, and he could only watch helplessly.
The scene shifts to Xue Yuan slaughtering Gongzi Gao.
At that time, all he could do was stand in front of the little guy and watch helplessly.
He couldn't stop anything.
Am I still the same as before, unable to do anything?
Little Hu Hai bowed his head, his life slipping away relentlessly.
No matter how hard I try, will nothing change?
Memories of his diligent sword practice surfaced in his mind.
Time and again, he had lost count of how many times he had swung his sword.
A thousand times?
Ten thousand times?
One hundred thousand times?
No!
That was many more times, so many that he couldn't count them all, so many that he couldn't remember them all.
Except for moments when he was eating, his mind was solely focused on his sword.
This effort moved even Gai Nie, the Sword Saint, on several occasions.
Even when he was physically and mentally exhausted, he never stopped trying.
Because he clearly remembered what Gai Nie had said: "To have the power to protect those you want to protect is a miracle in itself."
Driven by that miracle, he became almost obsessed, training tirelessly every day and spending all his time with his sword, with no other thoughts in his mind.
Even so, it seems that this is still the only way.
