Chapter 189, /.

Ying Zheng and his entourage entered the alchemy room, and Wang Jian gave the order, "Search!"

The soldiers split into two groups and searched every corner of the alchemy room carefully.

Ying Zheng walked to the left side of the alchemy room, and after observing for a while, his gaze fell on the red wall.

"Split it!"

Wang Jian glanced at the wall with a puzzled expression, then raised his spear and slashed at it.

Despite his advanced age, he was remarkably agile. With a flick of his wrists, his spear traced an arc and crashed down with a deafening roar, its terrifying force creating a gust of wind as it slammed into the wall.

Spiderweb-like cracks spread across the wall, and the once-solid wall vanished before our eyes.

A figure appeared; it was Xu Fu, his brows furrowed.

Ying Zheng's gaze was cold and clear. "As expected, it's here."

Despite being discovered, Xu Fu remained calm, a faint smile on his face. "A monarch who unified six kingdoms is indeed extraordinary."

Ying Zheng stared at him, "You dare to deceive me with poison? Do you think you'll get away with it?"

Xu Fu suddenly burst into laughter, “Ha! Haha, hahaha! Hahaha!”

After laughing for a while, his gaze turned cold. "Liar? Are you talking about me?"

"Isn't it that desire for immortality that is deceiving you?"

Ying Zheng's gaze sharpened.

He was indeed too obsessed with immortality, which blinded him.

That's why we're seeing situations where judgments are wrong now.

Wang Jian snorted coldly, "Soliciting nonsense! You scoundrel! Not only did you swindle endless wealth and resources from the Great Qin, but you also dared to poison His Majesty. I will not let you off today!"

Ying Zheng's gaze was calm. "Although I was deceived, isn't it also a good thing?"

"At least after you die."

Xu Fu met Ying Zheng's gaze and asked, "Why do you think you can kill me?"

Ying Zheng coldly ordered, "Execute!"

Upon receiving the order, Wang Jian's hands, gripping the spear, bulged with veins, and he raised the spear with both hands, slashing at Xu Fu.

This shot was incredibly powerful, like a vast ocean pressing down on Xu Fu.

At the same time, Xu Fu took out a strangely shaped inkwell, bit his index finger, smeared his blood on the inkwell, and roared, "Break!"

As the sound rang out, a cloud of black mist shot out from the inkwell, enveloping the area where Xu Fu was located.

Faced with this unexpected turn of events, Wang Jian remained unmoved, his spear falling straight down towards Xu Fu's head.

Just as they were about to strike Xu Fu, a pale white skeletal arm emerged from the black mist and blocked Xu Fu's path.

With a clang, the spear struck the skeletal arm, but was firmly blocked.

Then the arm swung violently, and a violent force spread out, causing Wang Jian to be thrown back.

"Protect His Majesty!"

He roared and raised his spear to block Ying Zheng's path.

The soldiers were also on high alert, their eyes warily scanning the black mist.

The black mist slowly dissipated, and tall figures gradually emerged—seven towering skeletons.

Each skull had red eyes that glowed and exuded a sinister aura.

Wang Jian frowned. "Forbidden techniques! You were once a Taoist?"

Wang Jian had seen his share of poisonous witchcraft, esoteric arts, and divination techniques on the battlefield.

Xu Fu ignored Wang Jian and snorted coldly, "Leave the palace!"

Several skeletons escorted Xu Fu as he walked out of the palace.

"Stop him!"

At Wang Jian's command, several elite soldiers rushed towards Xu Fu and slashed down with their longswords.

With a swipe of the skull's claws on the right, the three soldiers who rushed forward froze in place, then three claw marks appeared on their chests, blood gushing out as they collapsed to the ground.

The skeletal claws on the left pierced straight through the chests of two soldiers in an instant.

Then he lifted the soldiers high and threw them violently, sending the two soldiers flying.

Although two soldiers seized the opportunity to strike with their swords, the swords did not cause the slightest damage to the skeleton.

The skeletal claws flashed past, and the heads of the two soldiers flew to the ground.

After repelling the soldiers, several skeletons roared, instantly filling the hall with an evil aura and causing the temperature to plummet, inspiring fear.

Xu Fu's voice was icy: "Less futile struggles can save many lives."

Ying Zheng's eyes darkened, and he roared, "Xiaoyao!"

A figure darted over and suddenly appeared at the doorway.

It was an old monk with a gaunt face, clutching a string of prayer beads in his hand, wearing an old and tattered monk's robe, and his eyes seemed to have sunken into his wrinkled face.

It was none other than Xiaoyao, the Great Protector of the Qin Dynasty.

Xiaoyao glanced at the skeleton beside Xu Fu and sneered, "A mere trick!"

He turned the prayer beads in his hand, chanted Buddhist scriptures, and slowly walked towards Xu Fu. Golden Buddhist light emerged around him, instantly dispelling the evil energy in the hall.

Like a Buddha slowly advancing, as Xiaoyao moved forward, the seven skeletons retreated in unison.

Xu Fu frowned, "Go!"

At the command, the three skeletons in front leaped up and pounced on Xiaoyao with their claws raised.

Xiaoyao remained calm. When the skeleton lunged at him, he waved his left hand, and a golden light descended, instantly crushing the three skeletons into ashes.

Seeing this, Xu Fu panicked and shouted, "Keep going!"

Upon receiving the order, the two skeletons continued their charge towards Xiaoyao.

With another wave of his left hand, Xiaoyao instantly reduced the two skeletons to ashes.

Xu Fu panicked completely, "This... how is this possible?"

I thought I could escape danger because I had forbidden techniques, but I never expected that the Qin Dynasty had such a profound foundation and that there were such powerful figures.

In the midst of the chaos, his gaze shifted, and he suddenly looked at Ying Zheng, "Grab him!"
