Chapter 189, /.

Having dealt with the ambush surrounding the capital, Wang Jian led his men to continue their advance.

As soon as they stepped into the dense forest, a furious roar rang out, "This is the sacred ground of the Yin-Yang School! You shall all retreat at once, or you will die without a burial place!"

The voice seemed to come from the underworld, eerie and chilling, sending shivers down one's spine just by listening to it.

What followed was an overwhelming surge of yin energy, like an unstoppable tornado pressing down, seemingly about to engulf the entire Qin group.

Facing that powerful aura, Wang Jian was not afraid at all. His eyes darkened, and he swung his spear. A powerful aura surged around him, and the spear drew an arc in the air, falling straight towards the overwhelming Yin energy.

"How arrogant!"

Wang Jian roared, and a terrifying aura emanated from his body as his spear pressed down on the Yin energy. A powerful force swept outwards, and crimson light surged on the spear, like a fire dragon pressing down on the Yin energy that filled the sky, instantly shattering it.

This shot dispelled the coldness, exuding an overwhelming aura.

Many Qin soldiers were initially affected by the yin energy, but they quickly regained their composure after Wang Jian's spear fell.

With a single thrust of his spear, Wang Jian cleaved the Yin energy in two. His gaze sharp and cold as he stared ahead, he shouted, "Continue forward!"

At the command, the soldiers did not hesitate any longer and continued to charge forward.

As you step into the depths of the dense forest, a huge building comes into view.

It resembled a palace, but unlike the opulent splendor of an imperial palace, the building was constructed of black materials, standing tall and imposing, as if it had forcefully pierced a hole in the dense forest.

Even from a distance, one can see that the building is shrouded in an eerie atmosphere, exuding an unusual chill.

Wang Jian surveyed the magnificent building, his gaze darkening slightly. "It seems this is the stronghold of the Yin Yang School."

Such a massive building is so large that you can tell at a glance that the manpower and resources required to build it are absolutely unimaginable.

Only a powerful force could construct such a building, especially in this desolate, uninhabited forest.

Ying Zheng's eyes darkened slightly. "Don't be careless!"

Wang Jian nodded slightly, "This old minister understands!"

As a veteran with countless combat experiences, he naturally understood the principle that pride comes before a fall.

Although the Qin Dynasty is currently very powerful, a qualified general should always maintain a clear head under any circumstances.

The Qin soldiers advanced, and just as the soldiers at the front approached the palace, they suddenly heard strange noises coming from the ground, as if something was crawling and wriggling underground, which was very eerie.

Wang Jian's gaze darkened as he looked in the direction of the strange sound, where something seemed to be rising from the ground.

Wang Jian's eyes darkened, and he ordered, "Everyone be careful!"

At the command, all the generals became alert, gripping their weapons tightly and scrutinizing the source of the strange noise.

Suddenly, a crack appeared in the ground, and then a defeated skeletal arm burst out of the soil and crawled out from the ground.

Then came the second, the third, and countless skeletons crawled out of the ground, standing in front of the palace with a chilling aura.

Upon seeing this, Wang Jian's eyes darkened. "Evil magic?"

Looking at the surging yin energy on the skeleton, he immediately realized that it was a skeleton summoned through evil magic, otherwise it would never have such a heavy yin energy.

He gripped his spear tightly and lunged forward at the skeletons, shouting, "Mere evil magic, I can dispel it!"

He took the lead and moved with incredible speed, reaching a group of skeletons in the blink of an eye.

Sensing Wang Jian's approach, the skeletons roared angrily, then raised their claws high and lunged at him.

Facing the sharp claws that swept towards him with a chilling aura, Wang Jian remained calm. With a sweep of his spear, the aura suddenly spread out, instantly shattering the group of skeletons into pieces, which then dissipated in the air.

With a single strike, the group of skeletons in front of him was instantly dispersed.

Wang Jian did not stop there; he continued to lunge forward, attacking the remaining skeletons.

Beside him, the remaining Qin soldiers also charged towards the skeleton soldiers, rushing towards the skeletons.

A soldier dodged the skeleton's claws by sidestepping, and with a backhand slash, he struck the skeleton in the waist, instantly scattering it.

Then he continued to leap forward, and fought the remaining skeletons together again. As his swords and blades fell, skeletons fell one after another.

A skeleton seized the opportunity, its claws slashing down towards the chest of a Qin soldier. However, the powerful aura was blocked by the soldier's armor, and for a moment, the powerful yin energy could not penetrate the soldier's armor.

Perhaps not expecting the armor to be so powerful, its strength able to block the sharp claws, the soldiers were stunned.

But in an instant, he reacted, raised his longsword and slashed at the skeleton, instantly driving it away.

Originally numerous and almost filling the outer perimeter, the number of skeletons decreased rapidly under the onslaught of the Qin soldiers, and soon they were almost completely wiped out.

The pale white that originally dominated the surroundings gradually turned into black mist amidst the flashing swords and dissipating into the air.

As one skeleton after another fell, the Qin soldiers rushed to the front of the black palace.

The tall gate was locked, with winding, dark patterns swirling around it, and a faint aura of yin energy could be seen, giving it an eerie feel.

A Qin soldier stepped forward, preparing to push open the gate, but as soon as he got close, before he could make any move, a strange and powerful force spread out, instantly blasting the soldier away and sending him crashing to the ground.

A lieutenant nearby reacted and shouted, "Be careful! There's a formation here!"

Such power clearly indicates that the gate is protected by a powerful array; otherwise, given the soldier's strength, even several adults might not be able to push it open while he was standing there.

Upon hearing this, Wang Jian's eyes darkened. "An array?"

He walked to the front with a cold gaze, and the soldiers quickly made way for him.

As Wang Jian approached the gate, his gaze fell upon it. He noticed wisps of yin energy surging across the patterns, clearly indicating a special power swirling around it.

Wang Jian gripped the spear tightly with one hand, and a surging aura began to flow around him, like a continuous stream of water.

His gaze darkened, and with a flick of his hand, the spear traced an arc in the air before falling toward the gate.

A violent aura surged forth, pressing down violently on the runes on the gate.

As if sensing the impact of this powerful force, the Yin energy on the runes surged, and a powerful Yin energy suddenly rushed out, pressing down on Wang Jian's spear, trying to resist it.

Wang Jian's eyes turned cold, and he roared, "Break!"

The boundless power on the spear spread out like an unstoppable river, instantly shattering the power of the runes and sending the entire gate flying.

With just one shot, the formation was broken.

The gate collapsed, and Wang Jian's cold gaze fixed on the palace interior. "Kill!"

At a command, the Qin soldiers surged toward the palace.
