After buying the wine, Ying Gao led the two men to a nearby restaurant and ordered two bowls of noodles.
He had one bowl, and Xiao Huhai had one bowl.
The little guy just stared blankly.
My mouth is watering.
"Boss, give me five catties of top-quality wine!"
A deep voice rang out, and a man in his thirties walked into the tavern.
He wore a blue robe, his long hair was tied up with hemp rope, he wore a bamboo hat, and he carried a long, rectangular object on his back, wrapped in cloth, which looked like a sword or a zither.
Perhaps due to years of travel, his dark skin was covered with noticeable stubble.
The tavern owner smiled broadly, "Sorry, sir, we're sold out of wine for today?"
The man in the green robe frowned. "It's only noon, how could they be sold out? I'm a regular customer, don't joke around."
The tavern owner was very friendly, saying, "Of course we recognize each other, but we're really sold out today!"
As he spoke, he looked towards the door and saw a group of people eating noodles. He pointed at them and said, "They bought them all."
The man in the green robe looked towards the door, hesitated for a moment, then walked up to the group. "I heard from the boss that you've finished buying your wine?"
Little Hu Hai looked up at the person who came in, "I bought it."
The man in the green robe was taken aback.
He didn't understand why such a young child would buy so much alcohol.
But he didn't ask any further questions. Instead, he said, "In that case, would you mind selling me five catties of your fine wine, young friend?"
Little Hu Hai shook his head, "I'm sorry, this is for Father to keep for himself, I can't sell it to you, sir."
The man in the green robe glanced at the cart; it was completely full, enough to drink for more than half a year.
He looked at Xiao Huhai and said, "I'm willing to pay double the price; sell me five jin."
He wouldn't have done this if he hadn't been so thirsty and wanted to drink some alcohol to relieve his craving.
Xiao Huhai was very firm, saying, "If I don't need it, then it's fine to give it to you, sir."
The man in the green robe looked at Xiao Huhai, remained silent for a moment, and prepared to leave. "Fine, it's not right to force him."
The man in the green robe had just turned around and taken two steps when Xiao Huhai's voice rang out, "This wine is not for sale, but we can make a deal with you, sir."
The man in the green robe stopped in his tracks, turned around and looked at him. "A deal?"
Xiao Huhai said calmly, "If you are willing to grant me one condition, then this whole cart of wine will belong to you."
The man in the green robe laughed out loud, "Hehe, you're quite the schemer, but a mere cartload of wine isn't enough to make me agree to one of your conditions."
After speaking, the man in the green robe prepared to turn and leave.
"What if we add the Centennial Daughter's Red Wine and Manchuntang?"
The man in the green robe froze.
Both the "Centennial Daughter Red" and "Manchuntang" are top-notch wines that you can't buy even if you have money.
Its intrinsic value is simply incalculable.
Ying Gao was stunned.
What are the century-old Daughter Red wines and Manchuntang?
How come I didn't know there was such a treasure?
He looked at the little guy, who lowered his head guiltily.
[I borrowed it from my father's wine cellar.]
Although my father doesn't know, I have no intention of repaying it.
Ying Gao: . . . .
You call this a loan?
The man in the green robe turned around and looked at Hu Hai. "Do you really have such good wine?"
Xiao Huhai remained calm. "If it's fake, then the conditions you agreed to are null and void."
The man in the green robe hesitated for a moment, then asked, "What are the conditions?"
Xiao Huhai said, "If we can meet again, I will tell you, and you can agree then."
"But sir, you can rest assured that I will not make any demands that would put you in a difficult position. You don't need to worry about going against your conscience."
The man in the green robe astutely grasped the key to the question: "What if we don't see him?"
Hu Hai said, "If I don't see the wine, I'll just consider it a gift for you, sir."
Upon hearing this, the man in the green robe readily agreed, "Alright! It's settled then!"
He walked toward the carriage where the wine was kept, and Xiao Huhai pointed out the location of the Daughter's Red wine, which he held in his arms as if it were a precious treasure.
As he boarded the carriage, the man in the green robe smiled broadly, "See you again someday!"
After saying this, he drove away in his carriage, a smile involuntarily creeping onto his lips.
Unfortunately, we will never see each other again.
The little guy watched his retreating figure, a smile playing on his lips, and muttered, "Okay, see you again soon."
Watching the man leave, Xiao Huhai was somewhat worried, "If we meet again, will he really accept me as his disciple?"
The little guy looked confident. "Don't worry, he'll keep his promise!"
······
Leaving the bustling city, the man in the green robe drove his carriage into the deep mountains.
As he walked, he opened the jar of Daughter's Red wine, and the aroma of the wine immediately filled the air.
The man in the green robe was overjoyed. He quickly took a sip, savoring the mellow flavor of the wine. He exclaimed with satisfaction, "Excellent! It truly is a century-old Daughter's Red! Truly wonderful!"
"To be able to drink this wine, my life is complete!"
He muttered to himself, then took another sip.
The carriage wound its way through the dense forest, the surroundings growing increasingly desolate, with only the sounds of birds, beasts, and cicadas to be heard, but no human figures in sight.
But after walking for a while, the horse suddenly neighed and stopped.
The man in the green robe was already a little dizzy. He looked up and saw three figures blocking his way.
He looked closely and suddenly became fully awake.
It was none other than Xiao Huhai and his group.
The man in the green robe stared at the group in shock. "What are you all doing here?"
Little Hu Hai smiled faintly, "Sir, we meet again."
The man in the green robe looked around in disbelief. "This shouldn't be happening! This shouldn't be happening!"
He opened this road so that he could return to his residence quietly without being discovered, and no one would know.
But it's really illogical that these little kids would block the road.
