Chapter 189, /.

The old man was dressed in a blue Taoist robe, his long white hair was neatly tied up, and his gloomy eyes were sunken in wrinkles. Although he was old, they shone with a strange light.

As the old man appeared, three figures also emerged.

"We've finally found the person who ruined our plans?"

The woman in the middle was the one who spoke. She wore a black bodycon dress that hugged her waist, revealing her exquisite curves. Her slightly seductive face was etched with black runes.

Despite being dressed in a very alluring way, it lacked any aesthetic appeal and instead gave off a sinister feeling.

"Is he an opponent, or a plaything?"

The man to the woman's right spoke with excitement in his eyes. He was muscular, with bulging muscles that made his robes bulge.

To the woman's left is a masked man in a straw hat, with his arms crossed and a long sword in his hand.

Who are you?

Seeing the strange appearance of the group, the guards around the carriage became alert and drew their swords, pointing them at the group.

Before he could finish speaking, the man in the straw hat had already swept past several people, and several sword beams slashed through them. Before the guards could even utter a sound, their necks were already split open.

As warm blood spurted out, several guards collapsed to the ground one after another.

Inside the carriage, the little boy was startled awake by the noise. He found himself alone in the carriage and asked in confusion, "Where's Dad?"

The little guy tiptoed down from the sedan chair, ready to go out and see what was going on.

Outside, the old man also noticed the commotion inside the sedan chair, and his gaze became slightly serious. "Come on, let this old man see what you look like."

The people following beside them also looked at the sedan chair with curious yet solemn expressions.

Under everyone's watchful eyes, the little guy lifted the curtain and came out.

Upon seeing that it was actually a baby who came out, the expressions of the group changed, and they exchanged glances with considerable confusion.

Even the elderly man at the head of the group couldn't help but furrow his brow slightly.

To be able to protect the Qin Dynasty to this extent, he knew immediately that the other party must be a powerful figure, or even someone he knew.

But he never expected it to be a baby.

Upon seeing this, the muscular man frowned. "Could it be that we've got the wrong person?"

The old man's gaze was deep and thoughtful. "There's no mistake, it's this very aura."

The eerie woman was also very puzzled, "How could it be a little baby?"

The little boy stared at the corpse on the ground, his brows furrowing as he looked at the old man and his group. "You did this?"

The old man's eyes turned cold, and the Yin energy around him surged violently, black energy soared into the sky, and a powerful force stirred up a gust of wind.

"cut!"

With a roar, a star array appeared in front of the little guy, ancient black runes spinning, exuding a sinister aura.

The next instant, a pale skeleton wielding a dark sword suddenly leaped out, raising the sword high with a chilling aura and pressing it down on the little guy.

The enormous Yin Sword was over three zhang long, like a hundred-year-old branch. It drew an arc in the air and fell towards the little guy, making the little guy look extremely small.

The Yin Sword whistled down, fiercely sweeping towards the little guy. Just as it was about to strike the little guy, the spiritual energy around him began to surge, and faint golden light could be seen wandering around him, like golden threads.

As the Yin sword approached, golden light exploded around the little guy, and the powerful force instantly shattered the Yin sword. Then it continued to spread like a tide, shattering the skeletal arm into pieces as well.

The surging power only stirred up a gust of wind, causing the old man's Taoist robe to flutter.

The stern-faced woman was stunned at the sight, her eyes widening as she scrutinized the little one. "How is this possible?"

It is important to understand that everyone who wants to possess power must undergo cultivation, experience life-and-death trials, and gradually grow stronger through enlightenment in order to become a powerful individual.

But the fact that such a small baby possessed such formidable strength naturally seemed unbelievable to her.

The muscular man's lips curled into a smile as he curiously examined the little guy. "Interesting!"

The old man in the Taoist robe had a burning gaze. "That's right, it's this power, and it's definitely you, kid!"

He stared at the little guy with great excitement, as if he were looking at a treasure.

Noticing the strange reaction from the Taoist-robed elder, the little fellow looked at him and asked, "You know me?"

The old man in the Taoist robe lowered his gaze slightly. "On the day I lost my beloved disciple, I sensed this power through his connection with me. Since then, I have been searching for this power, and I have finally found it."

As he spoke, the old man in the Taoist robe smiled and said, "Fortunately, I found it. Otherwise, I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to get a good night's sleep even if I wanted to."

The little guy looked quite puzzled. "Disciple?"

The old man in the Taoist robe lowered his gaze slightly. "You call him Xu Fu."

The little guy's eyes flickered slightly. "Xu Fu? That wicked fellow who tried to poison Father Emperor?"

As if enraged by this statement, the old man in the Taoist robe roared, "Shut up! What do you know, you little brat? He is a person who follows the way of heaven, an important contributor to advancing the perfect world, a great being!"

"In order to achieve a perfect world, he did not hesitate to enter the tiger's den alone and face a group of jackals and tigers by himself. Even so, he was not afraid at all and even handled them with ease!"

"Such courage and ability, to perish in that tiger's den, it truly breaks my heart!"

As he spoke, the old man in the Taoist robe looked pained.

The little guy stared at him. "What does poisoning people have to do with advancing a perfect world? Are you crazy?"

The old man in the Taoist robe snorted coldly, "If we want to achieve a perfect world, the first step is of course to eliminate the tyrannical Qin Dynasty. Only in this way can all the people of the world regain their freedom, and only then can I lead many capable people to reshape the world!"

The little guy's eyes lit up with disdain. "You? Don't be ridiculous, you're not even as good as one of my dad's toes!"
