After dealing with the pursuers, Ying Liu came to the little guy's side, his gaze falling on Prince Liebker, "Did he bully you?"
Upon hearing this, Prince Lieberke felt a chill run down his spine and quickly replied, "No, no."
Ying Liu died without even knowing how he died, and was pierced by sharp claws; his death was too gruesome.
As he spoke, he looked at the little guy.
The little guy walked up to him and said, "No, he saved me."
Upon hearing this, Ying Liu finally shifted his gaze from Prince Liebeck, who involuntarily took a deep breath.
The little guy walked up to Prince Liebker and stretched out one hand.
Prince Liebker was quite puzzled by the little guy's sudden action, but the next moment, his eyes widened slightly as he saw wisps of green light appear on the little guy's palm, and the wound began to heal at a speed visible to the naked eye.
Even the arrow that was deeply embedded in the wound fell out on its own.
Prince Liebek's eyes widened in shock. "High-level healing magic?!"
Such powerful healing ability could only be achieved by powerful healing magic.
His gaze toward the little one grew increasingly shocked, and he began to understand why that powerful emperor was so fond of this infant.
A moment later, the little boy looked at Prince Lieberke and asked, "How is it?"
Prince Liebker moved his arm, finding no pain and feeling exactly the same as before he was injured. His eyes brightened slightly. "I'm completely fine now."
Hearing this, the little guy nodded slightly and asked, "You should know who those people were, right?"
Since Prince Lieberke knew that those people were targeting him as soon as they appeared, he must have known where they came from.
Prince Liebker's eyes changed slightly. After a moment of silence, he slowly said, "He must have been sent by my brother."
Upon hearing this, Ying Liu's eyes widened in surprise. "Your brother actually wants to kill you?"
Thinking of this, he couldn't help but glance at the little guy. They were both younger brothers, but this little guy treated him very well, a stark contrast to Prince Lieberke.
Prince Liebeck said slowly, “We are half-brothers. He has long coveted the throne. If I die, he will naturally get his wish.”
Upon hearing this, the little guy seemed to realize something, and his eyes flickered slightly. "Was this the reason why Lieberke didn't send anyone to rescue you when you were captured?"
Prince Liebker's eyes darkened slightly. "They'd love for me to die, so why would they send anyone to rescue me?"
When the King of Turland said he wanted to exchange him for something, he already knew the outcome; it was a situation where he was doomed to die.
If he hadn't been smart enough to choose to escape his predicament and instead pledge allegiance to Ying Zheng, thus securing a way out, he would probably be long gone by now.
Upon hearing this, Ying Liu's expression changed slightly. He felt a mix of emotions. It was hard for him to understand why brothers would go to such lengths for the throne.
The little guy frowned slightly, "Luckily, my brothers are all good to me."
Upon hearing this, Ying Liu looked at the little guy and said, "It can't be bad either, can it?"
Given this little guy's ability, the consequences of doing something bad to him are unimaginable.
Prince Liebker looked at the two men with a rather complicated expression. “As the sons of your lord, your relationship is quite unusual.”
Over the years he'd been here, he'd heard countless stories of people killing each other for the throne; stories of loving and fraternal relationships were truly rare.
But when the little guy shouted today, Ying Liu appeared without hesitation to save him, and his every move showed great respect. This brotherly affection felt very unfamiliar to Prince Liebker.
Some of them are even difficult to understand.
After all, this is the imperial family, not ordinary people, so what they are fighting for is naturally different.
The little boy looked at Prince Liebk and said, "You risked your life to save me just now, so I should repay you."
The saying goes, "A drop of water in need should be repaid with a spring of water," and the little fellow keeps this in mind, naturally remembering Prince Lieberke's kindness.
After all, even though this guy had almost died just now, all he was thinking about was getting the little guy to escape quickly.
Upon hearing this, Prince Liebk quickly replied, "No need, no need. Now that I have pledged allegiance to my lord, I will naturally protect you with my life."
His only thought at the time was to keep the little guy alive; he didn't even consider any reward.
After all, in that situation, it seemed like a dead end, and the fact that the little guy came out alive was the best possible outcome.
The little guy's eyes were calm. "No, no, I always repay kindness and don't like owing favors."
Ying Liu chimed in, "Brother is right. We Ying family members don't like to owe favors. Since you helped me, we should repay you."
Prince Lieberke found the little guy's earnest expression quite endearing.
It seemed the little fellow had made up his mind, and he couldn't persuade him. He had no choice but to compromise and say, "In that case, I would be very grateful if you could put in a good word for me with the lord."
It was supposed to be a reward, but the little guy was so young that he naturally couldn't afford any money, and besides, he didn't need any. If he could say a few words to Ying Zheng and get Ying Zheng to pay attention to him, that would be great.
Upon hearing this, the little guy frowned. "No, what kind of reward is this?"
Saying a few words like that is incredibly disrespectful; if word gets out, people will laugh their heads off.
Prince Liebker bent down, looking at the little fellow with great interest. "So what are you going to give me in return? Candy?"
Seeing the little guy's serious expression, he was also curious about what kind of reward the little guy wanted to give.
If it's candy, he'll happily accept it.
