Chapter 3 A Thought

After seeing Wang Meng off, Zhang Shixun rode his horse to Gao Laozhuang.

In Wang Dong's courtyard, Bai Wuchang was teaching Yue Yun and Wang Taoqi martial arts routines.

Wang Dong sat on a chair, holding a small teapot in his hand, and kept sipping tea from the spout.

The two little guys studied very attentively.

Zhang Shixun stood aside and watched for a while, nodding his head continuously.

Yue Yun is indeed a powerful warrior in the future. Despite his young age, his punches and kicks are already quite powerful, and his moves are extremely powerful.

After finishing a set of moves, the two little guys ran up to Zhang Shixun and greeted him.

Naughty said: "Uncle, the slingshot you gave me is very good. Now I can shoot whatever I point at it and it never misses."

Zhang Shixun was slightly surprised and asked, "Really? You're not bragging?"

"Of course it's true. I'm not lying to you." Taoqi took out his slingshot, looked around, pointed, and said, "Do you see that sparrow on the tree outside?"

“I see.”

"I'm going to shoot it down." Taoqi said, taking out a slingshot from his arms, loading the bullet, pulling the string, and letting go of his hand. With a "snap", the sparrow on the tree fell to the ground.

Zhang Shixun saw this and applauded, "What a great shot!"

Wang Dong said with a dark face, "Don't praise him. Ever since you gave him the slingshot, the chickens, ducks, pigs and dogs in the village have suffered. People come to me every day to complain."

"I have changed now." Wang Tao stuck out his tongue and quickly put away the slingshot.

Yue Yun tugged at Zhang Shixun's sleeve and begged, "Uncle, I want a slingshot, too."

Zhang Shixun touched his head and said, "You're destined to be a general. What do you need a slingshot for? Are you planning to go into battle with one?"

After hearing what he said, Yue Yun immediately changed his mind, "Forget it, I don't want it anymore. Can you give me a bow?"

"That's fine, but you're still young and can't draw a bow... How about this? I'll have someone make a bow specifically for you. How about that?"

Yue Yun was overjoyed when he heard this, "Thank you, uncle... When will you make it for me?"

"After I finish talking to your uncle Wang, I'll find someone to do it for you when I get back."

Yue Yun jumped up with joy, "Great! Great!"

Zhang Shixun had very high expectations for Yue Yun and would fulfill every request he made.

Wang Dong glanced at Zhang Shixun and asked, "Why are you coming to my place instead of staying in Zhang Xiaozhuang?"

"I want to discuss something with you. Let's go inside and talk."

The two of them came to the living room, and Zhang Shixun said straight to the point: "Wang Dong, it's time for us to establish a party."

Wang Dong's face darkened when he heard this. "It's time to establish a party. However, the word 'party' has a negative connotation in this era. Anyone forming a party is likely to be associated with self-interest. Let's change the name."

Zhang Shixun agreed with this and thought for a moment before saying, "How about the Patriotic Front or the Patriotic Alliance?"

"The Patriot Alliance is good, but it would be even better if you removed the word 'patriot'."

"Then let's make the Patriotic Alliance. The name isn't important; the key is the party platform. I asked you to come here just to draft one."

Wang Dong's mouth twitched as he said, "Why do you push everything onto me? There's so much information in the database. Just flip through it and refer to the Party's guidelines from later generations."

"I have a lot of things to do, so you should write it."

"I have more things to do."

Zhang Shixun said, "You should write it. I'm planning to go to Taihang Mountain. Li Moulue's team is developing very quickly and now has more than 20,000 people."

"Ah! More than 20,000 people?" Wang Dong was surprised. "So fast?"

Zhang Shixun nodded. "Although Li Moulue studied the classics, he has a restless heart and considerable abilities. Since entering the Taihang Mountains, he has been constantly recruiting and dividing the bandits from various mountaintops to seize territory. Coupled with the invasion of the Jin army, numerous rebel armies have emerged across the country. Li Moulue took the opportunity to gather a number of people, but with so many people, the good and the bad are mixed, and this also caused problems."

"You should go there. This guy's power is growing, and I'm afraid his ambitions will also grow."

"Don't worry, no matter how powerful he is, he can't escape from my control."

Wang Dong said: "Be careful, take the Black and White Impermanence with you, and bring more people with you, so that you can go early and come back early."

"I'll just take Black Impermanence with me, and I'll leave White Impermanence to you, just in case."

After the discussion, Zhang Shixun led his men across the Yellow River and headed towards Taihang Mountains the next day.

Halfway through the journey, he met Li Moulue who came to pick him up.

He came with eight hundred cavalrymen.

He dismounted from a distance and stood respectfully on the roadside to greet Zhang Shixun.

When Zhang Shixun and his group approached, Li Moulue bowed and said, "Welcome to Master Zhang."

Zhang Shixun jumped off his horse, strode up to him, grabbed his hand and said, "Thank you for your hard work, Mr. Li."

Hearing this address, Li Moulue was startled and said hurriedly, "I'm sorry, I'm just a poor scholar, I don't deserve the title of 'husband'."

During the Song Dynasty, the term "Xianggong" was not used casually. At first, only people at the prime minister level would be honored as Xianggong. Later, it developed to include the highest officials in the Secretariat, the Privy Council and the Three Departments. Although these people were not prime ministers, they were actually equivalent to the prime minister level, so they would also be honored as Xianggong.

Zhang Shixun smiled and shook his hand, looking him up and down. "Old Li, are there any kings, princes, generals, or ministers of different species? Even if you are not a husband now, you will be one sooner or later. I am just calling you that in advance."

This sentence was a double entendre, and Li Moulue's eyes lit up immediately when he heard it.

"Master Zhang, I like you to say that."

The two smiled at each other.

Li Moulue looked at the more than one hundred cavalrymen brought by Zhang Shixun, and saw that they were sitting upright on their horses, not looking away.

Then he looked at the cavalrymen he brought with him, all of them wore their hats askew, had squinting eyes, and looked sloppy.

"Master Zhang, the soldiers you lead are the best. They are nothing like my soldiers, who look like bandits at first glance."

"Ha! They're just bandits after all. There's nothing to hide about it, right?"

Li Moulue scratched his head and said with a smile: "Tianshi is right, we are bandits."

"Let's go, we can talk while we walk."

The two men mounted their horses and led the team towards Gongcheng.

Because of the invasion of the Jin army, all the officials in Gongcheng fled. Li Moulue took over the city and led a group of bandits into the city. He then moved into the county government office and became the de facto county magistrate.

Looking at Gongcheng from afar, Zhang Shixun asked, "Old Li, how is the military discipline of the troops? Are they not harassing the civilians?"

"Don't worry, I strictly follow the rules you set. I won't take a single needle or thread from the people, and I won't bully women. This is an iron rule. Anyone who dares to violate it will be executed. So far, I've killed more than a dozen people who violated the rules."

"Well! Very good." Zhang Shixun nodded with satisfaction. "We must remember that the people are the water and we are the fish. Fish cannot live without water."
