Summary of Volume 1

Summary of Volume 1

Actually, I didn’t intend to summarize it, but seeing that everyone in the comment section has such high voices and the atmosphere is so heated, it would be unreasonable not to be lazy for a day.

Ha ha.

To summarize the plot of the prologue and the first volume, Chen Ji has just arrived. As a time traveler without any memory, he needs to gain a foothold in this world, step by step explore his former identity, and deconstruct his social relationships.

Because of his identity, he was involved in the vortex of struggle between the Ning Dynasty and the Jing Dynasty.

In the future, the writing will continue to revolve around the main line of struggle in the intelligence system until the later stages.

At present, I am trying to use the roles of a few people to outline the appearance of this world for everyone, and first tell everyone what kind of story I want to tell and in what kind of environment this story takes place.

This story is not as exciting as Ye's naming technique.

Contrary to the nomenclature of the night, the prologue and the first volume are actually spent in a depressing atmosphere.

Book friends, authors, and editors advised me to write in a more enjoyable way, but it’s not that I don’t want to write in a more enjoyable way. Instead, I carefully considered that, given the background of this story, Chen Ji was destined not to have a good time in the environment he traveled to.

The people around Chen Ji kill people without blinking an eye, and there are so many officials around him. He doesn't have that many tricks up his sleeve, so naturally he needs to survive in the cracks, and he doesn't even have much room to use his wisdom.

Although writing stories that are enjoyable will attract more readers and lead to higher subscriptions, the consequences of abandoning logic and forcing stories to be enjoyable will also be severe.

The prologue and the first volume determine the tone of a book and also lay the groundwork for the main storyline that follows. Therefore, I was relatively restrained in writing this part, and I will probably continue to be restrained in the future.

I will summarize the current progress in several parts.

First of all, let’s summarize the characters that have appeared so far. Most of the main characters in the first three volumes have already appeared. The outline plan is to revolve around these characters and slowly reveal the appearance of the entire world.

In the first volume, everyone's appearances are just brief appearances. I've immersed myself in that world, and while each character is distinct, they're still not fully fleshed out. That's okay, though. The first volume is planned to be titled "First Encounter," and the plan is to introduce them. Volumes two and three will allow them to be further fleshed out, with more plot points allowing readers to see what they're really like.

What makes me quite satisfied is that every character that has appeared so far is not useless. Even if they leave, they will return at key stages in the future to accomplish some plots that I particularly want to write.

For example, Yunyang Jiaotu, for example, Guihe

Wu Hongbiao.

In terms of characters, I hope to proceed steadily and keep up the good work.

Secondly, to summarize the current setting, the world view of this book is a 'semi-fictional' Ming Dynasty, that is, it is derived from the Ming Dynasty, plus 50% of my own fabrication...

As for the training setting, one of the most core concepts is the conservation of energy. While this first volume only expounds on this concept, neither the protagonist nor the supporting characters are truly involved in this struggle yet, so just getting a general idea is enough. Many important plot points will revolve around this setting in the future, not only regarding Chen Ji's own mountain king and sword techniques, but also the training paths of other supporting characters.

At the same time, after Chen Ji obtained the tiger's inheritance, he was bound to stand on the opposite side of the "imperial power".

Again, to summarize the current plot, there are actually some plots in the first volume that I am not very satisfied with. For example, the plot of Chen Ji surviving in the cracks is a bit convoluted. It is not the difference between "complex" and "simple", but I probably did not design the plot structure well, making it not concise and powerful enough.

Of course, this is not a particularly big flaw for the time being.

In the first volume, I wanted to write about a beautiful dream amidst crises. Chen Ji, having lost his family, came into this world, initially losing hope for life until he decided to live with the dark clouds. Then, betrayed by his fellow apprentice, She Dengke, and neglected by the Chen family, he decided to be alone and not expect too much from the world.

Until he met the prince and Baili.

This dream is about chivalry and friendship. I hope it is restrained enough yet beautiful enough. This beauty is not some bright colors and passionate emotions, but an emotion as gentle as body temperature.

At present, the completion degree of this part is acceptable, at least above the passing line in my own mind.

Finally, let’s talk about the current creative ideas for this book.

Looking back at the vision I had set for myself previously, the progress I am most satisfied with is that this book abandons the previous writing style of using long paragraphs of God's perspective to describe the plot, and uses the plot and characters to let book lovers understand the development of the story.

In addition, the plot is more compact, and it does not abandon a lot of logic just for the sake of having fun.

In addition, compared with previous writing methods, this book pays more attention to the control of details, and will make you more immersed in this world, allowing book lovers to have a clearer sense of the picture.

Overall, apart from the decline in the number of updates, everything else has improved! Progress is a good thing!

applaud!
