Chapter 15 Confrontation

Chapter 15 Confrontation

When Crown rushed back to town, he thought about the limited food at home and decided to go shopping first.

For the next few days, I couldn’t go out. The inexplicable black spots that appeared on my body always gave me an ominous feeling.

It would be fine if it happened to someone else, but if it happened to the priest, things would be very bad.

He pulled his sleeves down to cover as much of his arms as possible and walked straight toward the mill.

After buying rice and flour, he went to the butcher on Squirrel Street.

Looking at the locked storefront, Crown had no choice but to buy eggs from his neighbor: "Give me twenty pounds of eggs."

The sound was hoarse, like a knife scratching on a burred metal plate, and it scared him.

"Okay," the egg seller replied enthusiastically, not caring at all about how uncomfortable the customer's voice was. "Eggs are 2 silver coins and 50 copper coins per pound, a total of 50 silver coins."

Klauen cleared his throat, took out a gold shield from the lining and handed it over, lowering his voice and saying, "Why isn't the butcher next door open today?"

"You don't know yet?"

The vendor took the gold shield, scratched his severely hairless head, and said fearfully, "It's been four or five days since the evil spirits started causing trouble. None of the eight people survived."

Clown narrowed his eyes and asked, "Do you remember the specific date?"

The vendor was a little puzzled as to why this unpleasant-voiced customer asked so many details, but considering that the other party was a big customer, he tried hard to recall: "Well, it should be the 24th. Yes, that's right. The 25th is Sunday and Kidd was not open for business. I reported it to the patrolman in the afternoon."

"The 24th? That's right, it was that morning that I had a medical problem."

Clown became more and more confident in his judgment that the evil spirit that was killing people in the town was also a resident of this body!

"Here's your change, sir, and your eggs!"

Crown grinned, without correcting the ambiguity in the vendor's words, he took the coins and eggs, picked up the food again, and left quickly.

. . . .

After returning home, Crown washed the rice, put it in the pot, and quickly lit a fire to cook.

After lighting the fire, he cut all the remaining air-dried bacon in the house into large squares, preparing to stew it all today.

When the rice was cooked, he stewed the meat and added dried vegetables such as long beans and radish tops.

It doesn't take long before the delicious food is ready.

He ate a bowl of rice with the stewed meat, and when he felt about 80% full, he put down the bowl and spoon and began to visualize the Golden Light Mantra.

Crown sat cross-legged on the floor, formed a golden seal with his hands, and very quickly entered a state of visualization.

When the visualization entered the final stage, when he visualized the golden light from his dantian radiating loudly around his body, the crazy and frightened voice arrived as expected.

The physical mutation occurred again, and Crown keenly noticed that this time the physical mutation was slightly milder than the first time.

After more than ten minutes, he returned to normal.

Touching the sweat beads on his back, Crown took off his shirt, revealing his not-so-strong chest.

He went to the backyard, filled another bowl of rice, scooped up a large plate of stewed meat, and started eating with big mouthfuls.

The physical transformation took a short time, but it consumed a lot of his energy and strength.

After he finished his rice, he licked the plate clean.

After washing his face, Clown sat cross-legged on the floor again and said softly through gritted teeth: "Evil spirit, I'm going to kill you!"

He formed the golden seal with his hands and began a new round of visualization.

In this way, when the sun set and the moon rose, Crown had performed the visualization of the Golden Light Mantra twenty-one times and had also eaten a large pot of rice and stew that he had made in the morning.

. . . .

After a short rest, Crown made another pot of rice and fried half a pot of eggs.

Youshi refers to the time from about 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. As there was no timekeeping device at home, Crown could only judge based on experience that the visualization of the bright moon could only be performed about five times.

To be on the safe side, he decided to perform the visualization only three times under the moonlight.

He walked into the bedroom, opened the thick curtains, and the room was filled with moonlight.

Crown sat cross-legged, made the moonlight seal with his hands on his knees, and closed his eyes.

He visualized a full silver moon rising before his eyes, illuminating his entire body for a moment, and then the silver moon focused on his forehead.

As soon as he finished this step, a chill suddenly rose in his mind.

Before Clown could marvel at the immediate effect of the moonlight cleansing his soul, this icy feeling exploded and quickly spread throughout his body.

He felt as if something was squeezing into his body, and then his consciousness was wrapped in a thin film.

His body stood up uncontrollably, and in panic, it stood in front of the dressing mirror.

The moonlight was bright, and Clown saw that his eyes had turned into golden vertical pupils, and a group of black whiskers shot out from his face.

There is no mistake in the poem, post, content, and read the book on 6, 9, and bar!

The person in the mirror smiled strangely, revealing a row of white teeth.

Then he saw his right hand slowly raised, with his index and middle fingers bent, slowly approaching his face.

Crown suddenly realized that the monster that controlled his body wanted him to dig out his eyes with his own hands.

In great shock, his mental strength was unprecedentedly concentrated.

The membrane that wrapped around his consciousness seemed to be torn apart, and Crown felt that he had regained some control over his body.

To be precise, he took over partial control of the left side of his body.

He suddenly grabbed his right hand, which was almost touching his eyes, with his left hand and pushed it outward with all his strength, while also leaning his head back as much as possible.

A strange scene appeared in the room. The man stood in front of the mirror, trying to reach out and grab his face with his right hand, while pushing away desperately with his left hand.

This is a battle of wills, the winner takes all, and the loser is finished.

Clown didn't know how he managed to hold on. When a rooster crowed in the distance, the feeling of his body being controlled by a foreign object disappeared like a tide.

His body fell limply to the ground, convulsing all over, his mouth wide open as he breathed in and out heavily.

Before, he had never felt that being able to breathe freely was a kind of happiness.

He was tired physically, and mentally as well.

Crown forced himself to stay awake and not sleep.

When the cramping pain subsided a lot, he struggled to get up.

He fetched a basin of water and gave himself a bath.

While fetching water, Crown saw his reflection in the water. His face was dark blue with many black spots the size of small coins.

The cold shower was very refreshing, and after calming his mind and eating a lot of cold rice and scrambled eggs, he began to visualize the Golden Light Mantra.

The monster could show up at night, and if it happened again tonight, he didn't think he could hold on.

Therefore, we must make full use of the daylight and visualize the Golden Light Mantra for as long as possible to weaken and kill the enemy.

Only in this way can he have hope of survival. If he cannot weaken the monster sufficiently during the day, he may never see tomorrow's sun.
