Chapter 37: Under the Andes

Chapter 37: Under the Andes

The village of Zarudo is located seven or eight kilometers northwest of the town of Zac, at the foot of the Andes.

At this time, a blazing bonfire was lit at the entrance of the village, making crackling sounds.

A group of short, dark-skinned dwarfs spread out and surrounded the campfire.

They only had animal skins wrapped around their waists to cover special parts of their bodies, and in the cold and silent night wind, there were many beads of sweat on their bodies.

In the shadows of these people, a group of children were tied up and thrown on the ground, many of them sobbing.

Wearing a feather hat, a seductive woman with scarlet and white face paint raised her hand and shook the silver bell in her hand.

The sound of the bell is not loud, but it is crisp, and can be clearly heard by everyone in the noise.

The seductive woman began to scream something, gesturing downward with her hands. Her tone was as shrill and creepy as the cry of a night owl.

At first, dwarfs came with basins and poured red liquid in the places planned.

Soon, a strange red eight-pointed star pattern appeared on the ground, surrounded by a circle of unclear symbols.

Just seeing these symbols can give people a deep sense of malice.

The woman raised the bell above her head and shook it wildly.

The dwarf on the edge showed a cruel smile on his face, revealing a mouthful of sharp teeth.

They drew black stone knives from their belts and walked toward the group of bound children.

The seductive woman stretched her body gently, danced, and screamed.

Following her movements, the other miniature people surrounding her joined in, and they began to sway wildly to the rhythm of the drums.

Under the influence of an unknown factor, the eight-pointed star emitted a dim red light, and the small heart piled in the middle began to melt like red ice.

The wild dance finally ended and the organs merged into a mass of colloid.

These colloids seemed to have consciousness like animals and were moving in one direction.

The crowd moved out of its way, and the mass of colloid crawled onto the bodies of the children.

The colloid wrapped around a child, and after a while, its size increased slightly.

Then, it continues to repeat the action.

It was getting faster and faster, and it could devour a corpse in the final seconds.

In the end, it completely turned into a monster like a wild boar, but it was much more terrifying than a wild boar.

The monster's skin was an oddly pale color. It was about two meters tall and three meters long, with two half-foot-long fangs extending outward from the corners of its mouth.

The charming woman was overjoyed, her body turned into a shadow and flashed to the side of the monster.

Dense gray, fleshy whisker-like filaments spurted out of her mouth and wrapped around the wild boar.

The moment the thin thread touched it, the wild boar let out a shrill scream.

Soon, the sound stopped again.

The filaments wrapped around the wild boar like a cocoon, leaving no gaps.

The woman stared at the gray cocoon with burning eyes and reached out to stroke it, as gently as if she were caressing her lover.

Soon after, the gray cocoon quickly became dry and rotten.

An even more terrifying monster emerged from its cocoon.

There were already four long tusks at the corners of the wild boar's mouth.

On its back, there is a row of white bone spurs as thick as a thumb, and on both sides of its belly are densely packed eyes.

There were different looks in its eyes, some cruel, some fearful, some desperate, and some crazy. "Roar", all the monster's eyes glowed red, and it roared towards the sky.

The seductive woman walked back to the campfire, picked up a piece of still burning charcoal, and wrote a string of crooked symbols on the open space.

After doing all this, she raised her hand, shook the bell in her hand, and walked towards the mountains.

The monster rushed over to her side, and the dwarf quickly followed. . . .

Five days later, church.

The sunlight shines in from the small skylight, leaving a path of light.

Clown sat upright like a primary school student, while the priest leaned lazily on a chair, telling various monster knowledge.

"Vampires are a kind of mutated evil human beings. It is unknown how they came into being. They hate sunlight and become weak in the scorching sun, but become stronger in the dark."

There is no mistake in the poem, post, content, and read the book on 6, 9, and bar!

"They possess great speed and are much stronger than normal humans, but weaker than werewolves."

"They possess blood magic, which can draw on the vitality contained in the blood to restore physical strength and injuries."

Knock knock, there was a sudden knock on the door.

Nick frowned slightly, a hint of displeasure flashing across his face.

He had specifically instructed that they should not be disturbed during this period.

"Father, Sheriff Hull wants to see you urgently," Evelynna's gentle and tactful voice came from outside the door.

"I'll be out for a minute," Nick said, striding away.

About a quarter of an hour later, the priest hurried in with a few books in his arms. "I have to go out to do something. You stay and continue studying. This is my previous note on mysterious species. You should study it carefully and don't slack off on physical exercise. After I complete my application process at the church, the extraordinary potion will be sent to me."

"Something happened, maybe I can help."

Crown stood up and expressed his desire to fight alongside the priest.

After practicing the Golden Shield method for a few days, his swordsmanship has reached a level that would shock even real demon hunters.

Nick shook his head. "Not yet, young man. You can only help me when you become a true transcendent. Don't think that your swordsmanship is well trained now. If I use my full strength, my speed and strength will leap up a level. When the strength is great enough and the speed is fast enough, the skills cannot make up for the gap that seems to be only a hair's breadth away but is actually as huge as a chasm."

Before he could say something else, the priest waved his hand and left.

Walking to the door, Nick turned his head slightly and said softly, "You don't think that my strength was fully revealed last time in the slaughterhouse?"

Isn’t it?

Crown stood up, his face full of surprise.

"I have only revealed less than half of my strength. After advancing to the extraordinary level, you will find yourself entering a new world. Therefore, during this period of time, you only need to explore your potential as much as possible and don't take any risks."

“Only less than half of their strength has been revealed.”

Crown was shocked, yet full of longing.

He clenched his hands into fists, and was determined: "With the help of the golden wall, I will grow to a level that others will look up to."
