Chapter 8 The Mysterious Gate

Chapter 8 The Mysterious One's Gate

Crown took out a worn wooden box the size of a computer case and covered it with a layer of soft cloth.

Then put the finished medicines that have been refined in the past few days in between, and put some rags in the middle.

These glass test tubes are very fragile. If they are not properly protected, the result may be a complete failure.

After preparing these, he shouldered the box, picked up the revolver and the backpack containing two hundred rounds of ammunition, and strode out the door.

Just as I locked the door, a voice came from behind me: "Where are you going?"

The voice was not loud, but full of majesty.

Clown looked over and smiled, "Father, why are you here? Please come in."

He was so preoccupied with his own business that he didn't notice the creditor coming to his house, but he knew exactly what the creditor was doing.

He reopened the door and invited the priest in to talk.

"I heard you've been doing well these days!"

Nick's voice was low and it was impossible to tell whether he was happy or angry.

Of course, Clown could hear the hidden meaning: You are living well, why don’t you pay off your debts quickly?!

He responded in a gentle tone, without any embarrassment of being found out:

"To be honest, the debt I owe to the priest is too much. Too much debt is not a worry, just as too many lice do not itch."

The priest snorted coldly: "Can I assume that you are blatantly refusing to pay your debt? No one in the kingdom dares to owe the church money for the materials for the holy baptism."

"It's not that I don't want to pay it back, it's that I want to pay it back but I can't

Clown spread his hands and forced a bitter smile: "These past few days, I have been practicing potion making day and night."

He patted the box and said, "These are the results! I was just about to go out to Ronnie's farm to sell this batch of medicine. Only when the quality of the medicine continues to improve, I will be able to make money continuously and return it to the priest."

"I heard that someone goes to the patrol station every afternoon to shoot two or three hundred rounds of ammunition each time."

"I don't feel safe. I also need to go to the mountains to collect herbs frequently. Without excellent shooting skills, I can't deal with ordinary beasts, let alone those strange monsters."

Crown answered fluently, he had already made plans for these responses.

As he spoke, he unbuttoned his shirt.

After groping in the lining of his clothes, he placed all the gold shields that he had not yet spent on the table.

"No one was home a few days ago. I think there was a thief. This is all I can give."

Nick reached out and grabbed the coin, gently shaking it twice in his hand: "It's only eight gold shields, but you owe the church 100 gold shields."

I owe the church, but I owe it to you, Father?! Clown curled his lips and changed the subject, "Have you caught the evil spirit that committed the crime these days?"

The priest calmly put the golden shield into his pocket and said, "Locking the target location."

It's just that I don't know the enemy's shadow yet!

Clown was silent for a few seconds, then spoke: "Father, facing such an enemy, do ordinary people have any way to deal with it?"

"You can pray to the Lord of Fire!"

Nick's words were somewhat uncomfortable.

Upon hearing this, Clown paused: "Father, do you have any way to deal with evil spirits?"

"Of course, I'm an exorcist. Every church is equipped with an exorcist. Dealing with evil spirits is no problem, but first I need to find those maggots hiding in the gutter, but I'm not good at tracking them."

Exorcist priest!

After hearing a new word, Clown was a little excited: "Father, do you think it's possible for me to become an exorcist priest?"

"Exorcist priests are selected from young men with devout faith, and then they undergo at least ten years of rigorous training before they are qualified. You are too old, and some of the training can no longer be carried out."

Clown did not give up and asked, "Can ordinary people of the Lord of Fire only close their eyes and wait for death when facing evil, except praying for a miraculous miracle?"

He was feeling slightly excited.

Nick narrowed his eyes and looked at him slightly differently.

When faced with evil creatures, most ordinary people can only passively pray and wait for salvation, and have completely lost the courage to resist.

It is commendable that the young man in front of us has experienced a mysterious incident and still has the determination to fight.

Nick was born into an ordinary Christian family. After hard training, he became a glorious exorcist priest, but was assigned to this remote small town church.

Why? Isn't it because he has no support from the forces behind him? Each exorcist priest is equipped with two crusader warriors to assist the priest in killing evil creatures and protecting the parish, but he doesn't have any. The bishop who is in charge of the church's personnel assignments said that even if there are evils in the remote areas, they are weak and scum, and the exorcist priest alone is enough to deal with them.

If nothing unexpected happens, he will most likely be stationed in this town for a long time. Since the church does not assign him a Crusader, why doesn't he try to train one himself?

There is no mistake in the poem, post, content, and read the book on 6, 9, and bar!

Nick's mind raced, his fingers tapping rhythmically on the tabletop.

Seeing the priest lost in thought, Crown held his breath and sat upright.

The priest's next answer was about his access to a higher level of power, and his heart began to beat faster unconsciously.

After a long moment, Nick spoke slowly in a low voice: "The church has trained ordinary people to become warriors who protect the Lamb of the Lord of Flame. I have also mastered this method."

Without hesitation, Crown said in a sonorous and powerful voice: "Father, I am willing to be the sword in the hand of the Lord!"

"Haha." Nick looked at him meaningfully. "It's not impossible. If you are willing to become the guardian of the church, bear the training expenses yourself, and unconditionally accept my recruitment when there are evil creatures endangering the believers in the parish, I am willing to be your guide."

Clown understood, and brought his own food to become the priest's thug. He would go first when there was danger, and the priest would take the benefits.

He said awkwardly: "Pure selfless dedication?"

If the priest didn't give in, he would agree.

As long as he can get in touch with a higher level of power and practice to the point of entry, his goal will be achieved.

As for constraints, there is always a way to eliminate hidden dangers.

Nick thought the other party cared about money: "Evil creatures also have a lot of precious materials, which are very expensive. As long as you work hard, you can get 20% of the rewards. Are you willing?"

He was not a stingy person who wanted the horse to run fast but not let it eat grass. If he had a capable helper, it would be much easier for him.

Based on his work experience in Zak Town in recent years, the world's spirituality is becoming more and more active, and the number of evil creatures must be increasing.

He had long considered training a group of Crusaders, but the church always rejected his requests on the grounds of insufficient funds.

Most of the families in the town who could afford the training expenses have moved to Rhine City, leaving him alone now.

"I am willing to be the sword that protects the church."

Before Clown could finish, Nick interrupted him: "First, you need to prove that you can afford the training expenses. The church will not help you with this money. I will give you two months, no, three months. If you can pay back the materials for the holy baptism, I am willing to guide you to become a glorious Crusader."

Nick stood up and patted his pockets. "These gold shields are interest. Three months, 100 gold shields. Young man, the world of mysterious power is open to you. It depends on whether you have the ability to grasp it."
