Chapter 23 Taming it is the same as taming a puppy

Seeing that the giant python had stopped moving, Tuoba Hong threw his head back and burst into laughter.

He clutched his aching stomach from laughing, took a few strides to a long table to the side, poured himself a glass of fine wine in a nonchalant manner, and drank it with an air of indifference.

The wine cup in Tuoba Hong's hand was suddenly pushed hard, and the wine in the cup was poured all over his face.

"Cough cough cough!" He coughed violently, his nasal cavity filled with the rich smell of wine, and liquid kept flowing out of his nostrils with his movements.

Tuoba Hong wiped his face in embarrassment, wondering which little brat had done this, making him, the second prince of the Northern Rong, lose face in the Great Zhou palace.

He looked over angrily, only to find the emerald green glass wine cup floating in mid-air.

No! Tuoba Hong rubbed his eyes, which were stinging from the strong liquor, and looked closely. He saw that the wine glass was wrapped with a jade-pink rope that hung all the way to the ground.

It's a giant python!

It turned out that the giant python had discovered Tuoba Hong drinking water, and its long tail slipped through the gap in the iron cage, snatching his wine cup.

The python, its slender tail tip circling the wine glass, retreated back into the iron cage. It sniffed the remaining liquid in the glass, then disgustedly lifted it away, hissing its tongue. It smelled awful, like water scooped from a stinking ditch.

The giant python threw the wine cup back at Tuoba Hong.

With a muffled thud, the cup smashed onto Tuoba Hong's head.

"Ah!" Tuoba Hong cried out in pain, clutching his head. He roughly touched his head and felt a raised bump on the top of his head.

He stared fiercely at the giant python, determined to chop it into pieces and make python soup when he got back!

The long tail of the giant python stretched out again and groped around on the nearest table.

Although the giant python couldn't come out to bite people, everyone still panicked and hid left and right, with occasional soft gasps of alarm.

No one can be sure that the python's tail, which was just wrapped around a wine glass, won't be strangling someone's neck the next second.

The Seventh Prince remained calm. The eight-year-old boy left the guards' protective circle, strolled to a nearby table, picked up a new teacup, and slowly poured tea into it.

On one side, the restless tail tip was frantically searching.

On one side, the handsome young prince was calmly pouring tea.

The seventh prince held the teacup and handed it to the tip of the tail.

The python paused in confusion at the tip of its tail, then gently circled the teacup before slowly retracting its tail back into the iron cage.

Yu Fen held the teacup high with its tail, as if it were a rare treasure, and offered it to Xie Mianmian.

The people hiding under the table watched this amazing scene and couldn't help but wonder, could the ferocious beasts living in the deep mountains and forests be so intelligent?

If this little girl can do it, then can't they do it themselves? But everyone looked at the big man still lying in the iron cage and shook their heads in disgust.

The giant python handed the teacup to Xie Mianmian, its big, round eyes looking at the child expectantly.

Xie Mianmian took the teacup with her small hands and gulped it down; she was really thirsty.

The warm tea slid down his dry throat, and the child raised his arm to wipe the water from his lips, letting out a satisfied sigh.

"You're so clever, giant python!" Xie Mianmian smiled sweetly at the round head.

The Seventh Prince: He always felt that someone else should be praised for being smart.

The python seemed a little shy, and the tip of its tail began to wag rapidly without it realizing it.

Xie Mianmian tilted her head and continued to give commands to the giant python.

And then everyone saw it—

Xie Mianmian wiggled her hips, teaching the giant python to dance, and the python twisted its slender and beautiful body into a pretzel.

The giant python braided the two belts hanging down Xie Mianmian's body into a simple double-loop knot.

The heavy, powerful tail tip massaged Xie Huaijin's shoulders, who was standing to the side. The young man, who was holding a sword with both hands, relaxed his brows and said to massage it harder.

Xie Mianmian also had the giant python bring a plate of roast chicken to the Seventh Prince, but the Seventh Prince did not eat it, and in the end, the entire plate of roast chicken was poured into the giant python's mouth.

...

Thus, everyone in the hall went from initial shock to eventual numbness, experiencing a sense of indifference towards death.

Xie Mianmian clapped her hands, and the giant python sprawled out like a python chair. The child leaned back and said to Tuoba Hong, whose face was ashen, "So, can Mianmian be considered successfully tamed now?"

Tuoba Hong bit his cheek and spat out each word clearly, "Of course, the Great Zhou is truly full of talented people, even the children are so amazing."

He waved to his men, still trying to put the giant python back.

Xie Huaijin looked at him sarcastically, "Are all the Northern Rong people this stingy? Our little sister successfully tamed the giant python, and you're just going to sit back and enjoy the fruits of her labor? Or do you think you can take it back with you?"

He pointed to the docile giant python playing with Xie Mianmian.

Tuoba Hong was taken aback, his expression turning somewhat unnatural. "Young Master Xie is too kind. The giant python naturally belongs to its tamer."

The emperor, seated on his high throne, took in everything that was happening below. Overjoyed, he patted the armrest of his dragon throne and said with satisfaction, "Excellent! The youngest daughter of the Xie family has successfully tamed the ferocious beast. A generous reward is due!"

Then, the Emperor changed his tone and said kindly to the child, "Mianmian, tell your uncle what reward you want. You can choose any of the gold and silver treasures in my private treasury."

"Wow, the Xie family has just received an unprecedented windfall!"

"This little girl is really lucky; she's hit the jackpot."

The person next to him glanced at him and said, "How sour. Why were you hiding under the table when it was your turn to go up?"

The emperor and everyone else were waiting for the child to say what treasure he wanted.

The little girl bowed respectfully to the Emperor. "Thank you, Uncle Huang. Mianmian wants the snow wolf that they've locked in the cage."

"Oh?" The Emperor was quite surprised.

With a serious expression, Xie Mianmian added, "They're mean. They don't feed the snow wolf, and it's so hungry it can't move. Mianmian wants to feed it lots and lots of pastries."

The Emperor's smile slowly faded. "The Northern Rong's methods of taming beasts are truly extraordinary."

This is supposed to be an army of wild beasts? They're really overestimating themselves. In fact, they're not even as good as Xie Mianmian, a five-year-old child.

Tuoba Hong was originally full of confidence and wanted to show the Great Zhou their excellent animal taming skills over the years, but things didn't go as planned. He suffered a major setback, and the wild animals he had painstakingly found were useless. All his efforts were in vain.

He said expressionlessly, "It's just a little snow wolf. Little girl, take it if you want." Anyway, the snow wolf is about to die.

"That's great!" Xie Mianmian clapped her hands happily.

Tuoba Hong had someone bring the snow wolf up, and Xie Mianmian rushed over to check on it anxiously, asking, "Are you alright?"

Her icy blue eyes looked at the child with surprise and delight. "I'm fine."

She really did come back to save me.

The snow wolf looked at the child in its belly and thought, "We're saved."

The Emperor stroked his beard. "Mianmian, your uncle will set up a courtyard for you in the palace and assign someone to take care of them. How does that sound?"
