Chapter 27 It's better to be a little crazy.

Chapter 27 It's better to be a little crazy.

The man groped his way to the bedside, and looking at the hazy figure lying on the bed, a triumphant smile spread across his face.

A ray of moonlight shone on his face; it was the Third Prince who had just followed him.

He didn't notice anything amiss and hurriedly took off his clothes as he climbed onto the bed.

"Miss Xie, don't worry, I'm here."

In order to retaliate against Xie Mingyi for slapping him, the Third Prince planned to deny it afterward, play with her for a while, and then, after enjoying the collapse of this woman who had lost her chastity, he would reluctantly take her as a concubine.

The third prince touched something soft; a woman's arms unconsciously wrapped around his neck.

On the other side, Xie Mingyi carried the tired Xie Mianmian back to the main hall with the Seventh Prince. Along the way, Xie Mianmian had been sleeping soundly on her body.

She handed the child to Wen Shuwan and then walked toward Miss Chu's mother.

"Greetings, Madam Chu. Is Miss Chu drunk? Where is she now?" Xie Mingyi bowed to Madam Chu and asked.

With a gentle and kind expression, Chu's mother said, "Miss Xie is too kind. My daughter was indeed drunk and went home by carriage not long ago."

Upon hearing this, Xie Mingyi's face turned ugly. It was indeed someone trying to lure her to the East Side Hall, but she wondered what their intentions were.

She told Chu's mother everything.

Upon hearing this, Mother Chu slammed her hand on the table. "Outrageous! Someone is impersonating our Chu family to do such a thing! Let's go and see who is so arrogant!" How dare they use their daughter's name to harm others? Does she think their husband, the Minister of Works, is just a figurehead?

Mother Chu was a kind and polite person who was very popular among the female relatives of officials and had a wide network of connections. After she said a few words, many wives of officials of high status followed behind her, and the group walked in a grand procession toward the east side hall.

Xie Mingyi, one of the parties involved, also went with her older brother Xie Linyuan. With her older brother as her anchor, she felt much more at ease.

Soon, a group of women dressed in gold and silver arrived at the east side hall.

"Let's start by exploring the first room," Mother Chu instructed her maid to knock on the door.

There was a knock on the door, but no one answered.

They looked at each other and both felt that something was amiss.

"Just open the door and go in!"

The maid pushed hard, and the door opened.

The women all craned their necks to look inside.

"Ah!" The old women were startled by what they saw; there was a naked man lying on the ground inside.

It was the second prince of the Northern Rong, lying on the ground, his white skin radiating emptiness after being intoxicated by the aphrodisiac.

"How shameless!" a lady exclaimed, covering her mouth in surprise.

"Wow, he's quite muscular," a younger woman said softly, covering her eyes with her hands but secretly opening them a crack.

"Stop looking, close the door quickly." Mother Chu hurriedly told the maid to close the door and shut out the eye-watering scene.

"Could it be the second prince's doing?"

"But looking at him, it seems like he's been drugged; he must be a victim."

The women chattered amongst themselves.

Xie Mingyi stood at the back of the crowd, looking at her eldest brother and the second prince with a puzzled expression. She didn't know anything about them; they had no connection whatsoever.

The commotion from here carried into the next room.

The third prince held the woman in his arms contentedly.

Hearing the sounds outside, Lin Ruoxue slowly regained her senses. She opened her eyes wearily, and the events that had just occurred flooded her mind like a tide.

She abruptly broke free from the man's embrace, slapped him hard across the face, and gritted her teeth, "You damned lecher."

The third prince, his face turned to the side after being slapped, said in a sinister tone, "Miss Xie, try causing trouble again."

"Slap!" Lin Ruoxue's breathing became rapid, her chest heaving violently. Hearing that he had mistaken her for someone else, she was so angry that her mind went blank.

"I am Lin Ruoxue!"

The Third Prince was shocked. He couldn't help but step back and distance himself from Lin Ruoxue.

"It's you?!"

Lin Ruoxue was on the verge of collapse. "I want to know why too." She paused for a moment. "This is not the time to talk about this. Hurry up and get dressed. People outside may come in at any time."

The two got out of bed and hurriedly put on their scattered clothes.

"Now that things have come to this, you must marry me as your principal wife."

"No way." The Third Prince refused without even thinking. He had plenty of other options; who did Lin Ruoxue count for?

"Marry me, and our Lin family will do everything in our power to help you ascend to the throne. Moreover, I am a female official of the Imperial Observatory. Do I need to elaborate on the power of public opinion, Your Highness?"

Lin Ruoxue looked at him with a strange light in her eyes. The Third Prince was worth cultivating. Once he ascended the throne, he would become the Lin family's puppet emperor.

By then, the entire Great Zhou will be theirs. The Xie family and the chosen one will be nothing but worms under Lin Ruoxue's feet!

Thinking this, the woman in front of him actually smiled.

The Third Prince felt a strange chill run down his spine. "Fine, I'll marry him then."

If he can't win the position, he can just find another woman.

The women outside had not yet reached a conclusion.

"Hey, listen, there seems to be some noise coming from the next room."

Everyone quieted down and listened carefully. Sure enough, they heard rustling sounds coming from next door.

Chu's mother gave the maid a look.

The door opened automatically after only a few knocks.

Lin Ruoxue saw the light shining in from outside the door and glared at the Third Prince. "You lecherous scoundrel, you did this kind of thing and didn't even lock the door." She was really going crazy.

Several heads peeked in from outside the door, and a few exclamations of surprise arose, piquing the curiosity of the women behind.

They whispered to the people behind them, "It's the Third Prince and Miss Lin."

The women were in an uproar.

The Third Prince then stepped forward, still maintaining a humble and polite demeanor. "Miss Lin and I are deeply in love, and I have already told my father that I want to marry her as my concubine. I was drunk and behaved rudely this time, and I hope that all the ladies will not spread rumors."

Just by looking at his disheveled collar and unkempt clothes, and seeing Lin Ruoxue hiding behind him with a pale face, one could tell that the Third Prince was not telling the truth.

They were just wives of minor officials; what could they possibly say?

The group bowed to indicate that they understood.

"Miss Lin!" A rough male voice came from behind.

It turned out to be Tuoba Hong after the scent of aphrodisiac had faded. He had already dressed and walked up with a livid face.

"Bang!" Without uttering a sound, Tuoba Hong stepped forward and punched the Third Prince in the face.

"What the hell are you doing!" The usually humble and polite royal prince cursed in front of a group of women.

"I'm hitting you!" Tuoba Hongbang punched the Third Prince on the other side of his face. He was burning with rage. This man had actually desecrated his goddess!

The third prince covered his face with his hands, bent over, and wailed in pain.

Tuoba Hong pushed the Third Prince aside and hugged Lin Ruoxue tightly. "Miss Lin, it's all my fault. You were defiled by this beast."

She was supposed to come to him, but she accidentally went to the wrong place, Tuoba Hong thought painfully.
