Chapter 34 Please Don't Bully Me

Chapter 34 Please Don't Bully Me

However, the wolf was limping. Xie Mianmian looked at its hind leg and saw that it had been pierced by a sharp arrow, and blood was gushing out.

The wolf stared at her with malicious eyes.

Xie Mianmian became frightened and began to back away little by little.

The child tried to reason with the wolf, her voice trembling slightly, "Hello little wolf, I didn't hurt your leg, please don't scare me, okay? Mianmian is scared."

"Roar!" The wolf howled again, indicating that it was not listening.

Its legs hurt so much. All the two-legged creatures are bad people who will hurt it. Tear the person in front of it to pieces so that she can't hurt herself.

The wolf's upper lip muscles twitched violently, revealing gleaming fangs, as it resolutely walked towards the child.

Xie Mianmian hurriedly began to back away.

"Ah!" Because he wasn't watching where he was going, the child tripped over a tree root that was sticking out of the ground.

Xie Mianmian was thrown hard to the ground. Seeing that her prey was so useless, the wolf took a few strides over and opened its blood-red mouth to bite the child's neck.

Xie Mianmian kept her eyes tightly closed, and said quickly, "Little wild wolf, be good, don't hurt Mianmian, okay~"

A few breaths later.

The forest fell silent; even the birds stopped chirping.

The child moved his hands, kicked his legs, and twisted his neck, but found no bite mark on his body.

Xie Mianmian tentatively opened one eye, and what she saw was still the wolf's wide-open mouth, its sharp fangs resting on the child's fair neck.

The child silently cried out in his heart and closed his eyes again.

After waiting for a long time without the wolf biting her, Xie Mianmian began to move backward little by little with her hands and feet, finally escaping its gaping maw.

Xie Mianmian breathed a huge sigh of relief; she had almost become a wolf's snack.

The wolf felt something was wrong. Looking at the tender two-legged cub in front of it, it just couldn't bring itself to bite it. It tried several angles, but in the end, it reluctantly closed its mouth.

Xie Mianmian finally came to her senses and realized that the wild wolf would not harm her. She took out a medicine pouch from her bosom.

This is the wound medicine that Xie Huaijin packed for the child just in case.

"Don't move, Mianmian will apply the medicine for you."

The child was applying medicine to the wound on the wild animal's hind leg.

This was the first time the wolf had been so close to a two-legged cub, and it nervously shook its injured leg.

"Does it hurt a lot? Let Mianmian warm it up for you."

A gentle, warm breeze blew through the previously burning wound.

The wolf became even more awkward, scratching the ground with its two front paws, pretending to be very busy.

Xie Mianmian took out another clean handkerchief, wrapped it around its wound, and tied a knot.

"Alright!" The child patted the wolf on the back.

"Whoosh!" The wolf's fur stood on end. What had she done to herself? How dare she touch it, touch this majestic lone wolf!

The wolf ran away in a few steps, then sat down not far away, suppressing the urge to lick its wounds, and stared at Xie Mianmian.

"You need to run far away. They're all hunting these days, so don't get spotted again."

Xie Mianmian waved to the wolf, then left with the little rabbit in her arms.

"We should go this way," the child thought he knew the direction and chose a path.

Passing through the dense forest, Xie Mianmian stepped into a soft, damp woodland covered with withered leaves.

The children walked on it quietly.

The trees here are taller and more magnificent. Xie Mianmian put the little rabbit on the ground and opened her arms to hug one of the big trees.

Feeling the rough trunk beneath her hands, the child thought, "It would probably take ten Xie Mianmian holding hands to encircle this tree."

After going around behind the big tree, the child's eyes widened in surprise at the sight before him, and he almost drooled.

Many bright red mushrooms have sprouted on the ground!

One by one, they sprouted from the ground, plump and chubby, with bright red umbrella heads that bulged out proudly, adorned with white speckles.

Xie Mianmian swallowed hard, then ran up with a "Wow!" There were so many mushrooms! They looked delicious and beautiful!

The child was overjoyed and planned to pick some to take back to his family to try. He was sure they would praise him!

Thinking of this, Xie Mianmian squatted down next to a large, bright red mushroom, reaching out her little hand to pick it.

But why couldn't his hand reach it? The child stretched his hand forward with all his might, but he just couldn't touch the mushroom.

Hmm? Xie Mianmian finally realized that her clothes were a bit too tight around her neck.

She turned her head and was surprised to find that a wolf was biting the back of her collar and dragging her backward.

"Ouch!" Xie Mianmian was pulled backward by a huge force.

"You wicked wolf, why are you bullying Mianmian?" the child pouted.

The wolf said in a muffled voice, "Red mushrooms are poisonous. If you don't eat them, you'll die."

Xie Mianmian: !

The child's hands hung limply. "These mushrooms are so pretty, why can't I eat them?" she thought dejectedly.

Just then, Xie Mianmian's stomach rumbled; the child was hungry.

The wolf's keen ears caught the sound of the child's hungry stomach. "Come with me."

It turned and left, looking back every three steps, and only continued walking with peace of mind when it saw Xie Mianmian following.

The child thought the wolf was taking her back, so she happily picked up the rabbit and followed.

After many twists and turns, the wolf and the man arrived at a small river.

The river flowed gently, its water crystal clear; you could see small fish and shrimp swimming in it from the bank.

The wolf suddenly jumped into the river without a sound.

Xie Mianmian was startled and shouted into the water, "What are you doing? Your wound can't get wet!"

A moment later, the wolf jumped out of the water and onto the shore, carrying a large, fat fish in its mouth.

It loosened its grip and placed the fish in front of the child, saying, "Eat."

The wolf frantically shook the water off its fur.

Xie Mianmian: Should I eat it raw?

The man and the wolf remained motionless, staring at each other blankly.

"Thank you, but I can't eat raw fish."

The wolf stared at the fish hopping around on the ground, scratching at the ground with a hint of frustration. Raising human cubs was such a hassle; these were the fattest fish in the river.

Seeing that the child couldn't eat it, the wolf lowered its head and quickly devoured the fish.

"Come with me." The wolf started leading the child again.

They came to a small thicket of bushes, which was full of red wild berries.

The wolf tilted its chin toward the child, "Eat."

Xie Mianmian scratched her head somewhat awkwardly. This was just as bright red as the mushroom from before. Was it edible?

Seeing that the child hesitated to open his mouth, the wolf lowered its head, picked up a few red wild fruits, and ate them.

Seeing that the wild fruit was edible, Xie Mianmian couldn't wait to pick a plump wild fruit, stuff it into her mouth, and bite down with her teeth.

"Sizzle!" The sweet and rich juice bursts in your mouth.

It's sweet and juicy.

"So delicious!"

They're so delicious, kids can't stop eating them, and they taste even better than pastries.

At this moment, Xie Mianmian bent down to pick fruit and found a human footprint on the muddy ground.

The child lifted his left foot and compared it to the footprint; it was an adult's footprint!

There were some adults eating wild fruit here just now.

Finding an adult means she can go back! The child thought.

So Xie Mianmian lowered her head and carefully followed the string of fresh footprints.

The child stared blankly, unsure whether the footprints were left by a good person or a bad person.
