Chapter 1: Unlucky An Ning

"Ah! Which bastard raised the chickens? They ruined the wheat I worked so hard to grow. If I find out who raised the chickens, I will never let you go!" A pig-killing-like scream came from an experimental field.

"A-choo!" A student who was repairing the chicken coop in the distance rubbed his nose, looked at the sky, and thought to himself, the weather is not that cold, how come I caught a cold?

An Ning grabbed a chicken and said, "I told you to eat my wheat, I'll stew you." Then she grabbed the chicken and walked towards her hut, but she didn't know what she stepped on, her foot slipped, and she fell backwards, right behind her was the rake she had just put down...

An Ning was floating in the air, looking at herself on the ground with several holes in her body. She was so sad that she wanted to cry but had no tears. She was just thinking about floating down to touch her dead body when suddenly a strong white light sucked her in.

"Daya, Daya, wake up, don't scare your mother!" A crying voice came into An Ning's ears. An Ning had a splitting headache. She wanted to raise her hands to rub her forehead, but found that her hands had no strength at all and she couldn't lift them.

She tried her best to open her eyes, but found that the roof in front of her was in tatters, and she could even see the blue sky through the sparse thatched grass. Then a bunch of messy memories rushed into her mind, making her already unclear mind even more confused.

The woman who had been observing An Ning all the time saw that she had opened her eyes, and shouted outside the house in surprise: "Boss, come here quickly, Daya is awake!"

As soon as he finished speaking, a man ran in from outside. Seeing An Ning wake up, he said excitedly: "You are awake. The Taoist priest didn't lie to me. Thank God!"

The woman ignored the nagging man and lowered her head to An Ning and said, "Daya, does your head still hurt? Do you want to drink some water?"

An Ning looked at everything in front of her in bewilderment, with a thousand horses running through her mind. She cried out in her heart: "Oh, God, oh, earth, what on earth is going on? Who can tell me?"

When the woman saw An Ning's expression, she pulled her husband's sleeve and said, "Master, did Daya fall and become stupid?"

The man scolded the woman, "Don't talk nonsense. The Taoist priest said that Daya is destined to be rich and powerful. She will definitely get better."

An Ning calmed down and looked at the couple in front of her. She guessed that they must be the original owner's father and mother. She sighed in her heart. Since she was here, she might as well make the best of it. Anyway, she had no way to go back, so she could only live here.

But when she decided to stay here, she found that there were few resources and the people were starving. Looking at the thin porridge with only a few grains of rice in it, An Ning cried out in her heart: "Oh my God, you can't play like this."

The woman next to her, An Ning's current mother, Gao, saw An Ning's expression and said, "Daya, when the new grain comes in a few days, I'll make you some steamed buns."

An Ning had been used to hearing Daya's words for a few days, so she forced a smile and said, "Mom, I'm fine, I just still have a headache, I'll be fine after lying down for a while."

Gao touched An Ning's head distressedly and said, "Such a big bump, how long will it take to heal? Don't go to the mountains next time, it's too dangerous."

An Ning nodded and said, "I understand, Mom. I will be more careful next time."

It turned out that An Ning's head was injured because he accidentally fell down the hillside while going up the mountain to pick wild vegetables. Not only did a big bump appear on his head from hitting a rock, but his body was also bruised and purple by the rocks on the hillside. It hurt terribly if he moved a little.

An Ning drank up all the porridge in the bowl in one breath. When Gao saw her daughter had finished the porridge, she stood up and helped her daughter to the bed, saying, "Lie down on the bed quietly and don't move, otherwise you will feel dizzy again."

An Ning felt really uncomfortable. She nodded and said, "I understand, Mom." After seeing Gao leave, she fell into a deep sleep again.

An Ning was awakened by hunger. Looking at the pitch-black night outside, she knew that it was impossible to find food at this time, so she could only hold her stomach to make it growl less loudly. An Ning wondered why other people who traveled through time were either princesses or daughters of marquisates, and even if they traveled to the countryside, they would have spiritual springs and space and various golden fingers, why didn't she have any? Just as she was thinking about it, the scene in front of her changed, and she was in a familiar place.

Looking at the familiar hut and the familiar experimental field, she was so happy that tears were about to come out. She came in from the hut next to the experimental field, which was specially built by the school, with one for each person.

Since she was assigned to this small house, she has made a big renovation of it. She has a big double bed, a super comfortable sofa, a large double-door refrigerator filled with all kinds of food, and a variety of kitchen supplies and seasonings. Because it is far away from the city and it is inconvenient to buy things, she also stocked up a big bag of rice, a big bag of white flour, several boxes of instant noodles of various flavors, and a cabinet of snacks. Since she doesn't like watching TV, she specially asked someone to build a super large bookshelf in the place where the TV was originally placed, and put all kinds of books on it. These books cover various fields, and she bought them at a bookstore that was on the verge of closing down at a low price.

She didn't have time to think about it, she pushed the door open and walked in, heading straight to the kitchen. Unexpectedly, the gas and electricity were both working, and she didn't bother to figure out why, she just wanted to fill her stomach first.

She washed her hands, put some water in the pot, and planned to cook some instant noodles. While the water was boiling, she went to the snack cabinet and took out a chicken leg, opened the bag, and finished it in two or three bites. She felt that her stomach was not so hungry anymore, so she went to the kitchen again. Seeing that the water in the pot was just boiling, she took out a bag of braised beef flavored instant noodles and put it in the pot, and then cracked an egg into the pot. She took out a small green vegetable from the refrigerator, washed it with water, and put it in the pot. After a while, the fragrant instant noodles came out of the pot.

She scooped out the instant noodles and placed them in a large blue and white porcelain bowl that she had bought specifically for eating noodles, carried it out of the kitchen, and sat in the dining room to eat heartily. After drinking the last mouthful of noodle soup, she stroked her bloated belly and sighed.

An Ning was afraid that she wouldn't be able to digest so much, so she found a box of stomach-strengthening and digestion-promoting tablets from the medicine box and took a few.

After eating and drinking, she remembered that she didn't know what she looked like now, so she quickly got up and went to the bathroom. She looked at the skinny little girl in the bathroom mirror, pinching herself in disbelief, until the pain came, she faced the reality.
