Chapter 11 Ganoderma lucidum

An Ning watched An Dashan walk away, then he carefully searched around. Although he didn't find any precious herbs, he did find a few commonly used herbs, which showed that the mountain was rich in products. He dug out a few herbs and put them in the backpack, then took out a ginseng and about ten kilograms of astragalus from the space and put them in the backpack.

After doing all this, she took out a pregnant female rabbit that was about to give birth from the space. She was afraid that the rabbit would ruin her medicinal herbs, so she didn't dare put the rabbit in the backpack. She sat under a towering tree holding the rabbit and waited for An Dashan to come back.

When she was playing with the rabbit out of boredom, she glanced and found that there seemed to be a red mushroom-like thing growing at the root of the tree. An Ning's heart was burning with excitement. Could it be Ganoderma lucidum? An Ning suppressed her excitement, stepped forward to take a closer look, and found that it was indeed Ganoderma lucidum.

An Ning stuffed the rabbit into the space, took out the small hoe she carried with her and carefully dug up the Ganoderma lucidum with its roots. Looking at the excellent quality Ganoderma lucidum in her hand, An Ning was ecstatic. With this Ganoderma lucidum, the current dilemma could be easily solved.

At this time, An Dashan also came back. He saw his daughter holding something and smiling foolishly from a distance. He was so scared that he thought his daughter was possessed by something and shouted, "Daya!"

An Ning was so frightened that her hands trembled and she almost dropped the Lingzhi in her hand. She looked up at An Dashan who looked anxious and asked in confusion, "Dad, what's wrong?"

An Dashan saw that his daughter looked normal and didn't look like she was possessed by something. He heaved a sigh of relief and said, "Daya, why are you grinning like an idiot? I thought you were possessed by something."

An Ning ignored the second half of An Dashan's sentence, stood up and trotted over to An Dashan, put the Ganoderma lucidum in his hand in front of An Dashan's eyes, and said, "Dad, look at what this is?"

An Dashan looked carefully and didn't recognize it. He looked carefully again and still didn't recognize it. He could only ask: "Daya, what are you holding?"

An Ning didn't expect that her father didn't know Lingzhi, but then she thought that it was normal for him not to know Lingzhi. They were all poor and didn't have access to such things. So she explained, "Dad, this is Lingzhi. I've seen it at the old immortal's place."

Although An Dashan didn't know Lingzhi, he had heard that it was a magical herb! So he exclaimed, "Daya, what did you say? Is this really Lingzhi?"

An Ning nodded and said, "Dad, this is indeed Ganoderma lucidum."

An Dashan took another closer look, then slapped his thigh and said, "Oh! So this is Lingzhi! I saw it last time when I went deep into the mountains, but I didn't recognize it at the time and thought it was a poisonous mushroom, so I didn't pick it."

Seeing An Dashan beating his chest and stamping his feet in regret, An Ning quickly comforted him, "Dad, it's okay. When we have time, we can go there again and pick it back."

An Dashan could only nod and said, "I don't know if the Ganoderma is still there. Let's go into the mountains again the day after tomorrow."

An Ning carefully placed the Ganoderma lucidum in the backpack, and seeing that An Dashan was not paying attention, she quickly moved it to the space, and then covered the backpack with a layer of weeds before carrying it on her back. This was something that could solve the current predicament, so she couldn't be careless at all.

An Ning saw that there was only one rabbit in An Dashan's backpack, and knew that he had not gained much today, so while An Dashan was walking in front, he released a few rabbits from the space without leaving any trace. Then he shouted, "Dad, look, there are several rabbits."

An Dashan reacted quickly and started drawing his bow and shooting arrows. He had just hit two of them when the others ran away. He quickly said, "Daya, you pick up the rabbits and I'll chase them." As he said that, he chased in the direction one of the rabbits ran away.

An Ning picked up the two rabbits and moved the pregnant rabbit out of the space. After a while, An Dashan came back with a fat, dead rabbit in his hand. He saw the rabbit in An Ning's arms and asked in confusion, "Daya, did you catch this?"

An Ning nodded and said, "Well, this rabbit seems to be pregnant. It runs a little slowly. I caught it in one go. Dad, I want to raise it."

An Dashan touched the rabbit's belly, nodded, and said, "Well, it's really pregnant. It looks like it's about to give birth. This thing is not easy to raise. Your uncle Zhang has raised it several times, but he didn't keep it alive."

An Ning smiled and said, "Dad, rabbits are easy to raise. As long as you don't give them raw water, they'll be fine."

An Dashan nodded doubtfully and said, "If you want to raise it, then raise it. When you go back, Dad will make you a cage. This thing can dig holes and will run away if it is not kept in a cage."

Looking at his father who believed in him unconditionally, An Ning said happily, "Thank you, Dad."

An Dashan smiled and said nothing.

Without further delay, the two hurried down the mountain and returned home. As soon as they got home, they heard Gao talking to someone. They pushed the door open and found that it was grandma and uncle. An Ning had never seen them before, but she knew from the original owner's memory that this grandma and uncle were very kind to the original owner's family.

An Dashan and An Ning put down their backpacks and walked quickly to the main room. When they saw the two men, they hurriedly said, "Mom, big brother, you are here."

An Ning also shouted: "Grandma, uncle."

An Ning's grandmother, Wang, pulled An Ning to her side, looked her up and down, and said, "Thank God, there are no scars left, otherwise what would you do as a little girl?"

An Ning was a little uncomfortable with this sudden intimate action, and her body was a little stiff, but she knew that the old woman in front of her was really concerned about her, so she smiled and said, "Grandma, I'm all healed, there's no scar left at all."

Wang smiled and nodded, and said, "Be more careful next time, understand?"

An Ning nodded obediently and said, "I understand, grandma."

When An Dashan saw that the two had finished talking, he quickly said, "Mom, brother, please eat at home today. I caught several rabbits!"

Wang shook her head and said, "We just came to see Daya. We are relieved to know that she is okay. We have something else to do at home, so we won't stay any longer."

Gao Shi also hurriedly advised, "Mom, there are not so many things to do at home. Besides, there are my sister-in-law and her family at home. You can sleep here for one night and go back tomorrow."

But no matter how hard An Dashan and Gao tried to persuade them to stay, An Ning's grandmother and uncle would not stay.
