Chapter 51 Order Pork

An Ning felt that she had bought almost everything, so she said, "Dad, go buy some meat. I'll take a break here."

An Dashan said, "The butcher shop is at the edge of the market. I'll drive the mule cart over there and buy some meat and go straight home."

An Ning nodded, got on the mule cart, and several people drove the mule cart towards the butcher's shop.

An Dashan arrived at the butcher's shop and found that there were few people in front of the shop. The butcher owner was sitting there sighing.

An Dashan stopped the mule cart, walked up to him and said, "Boss, what's wrong? Why do you look so sad?"

When the boss saw that it was An Dashan, he smiled a little and said, "This business is not easy. I haven't sold a single pig in a few days. Fortunately, it's cold now, otherwise they would all go bad."

An Dashan suddenly realized that in the autumn, people work hard and the family naturally needs oil and water, but now most people are hibernating at home, and some families even only eat one meal a day, so naturally no one comes to buy meat.

An Ning heard it in the carriage, and quickly lifted the curtain, jumped out of the carriage, and said, "Uncle, how many pigs do you have at home?"

The butcher said, "Twenty pigs are ready to be slaughtered, and there are eight more that will be ready in a month or so."

An Ning thought for a moment and said, "Uncle, if I take all of them, can it be discounted?"

The butcher thought An Ning was joking and said, "Okay, if you want all of them, I'll give you 20 cents per pound."

An Ning nodded and said, "Okay, uncle. From now on, kill a pig every other day and send it to my house. Don't throw away the pig's offal and internal organs, send them over as well."

The butcher saw that An Ning was not joking, but he did not dare to agree, so he turned to look at An Dashan. Although An Dashan did not know what An Ning was up to, he believed in his daughter, so he nodded and asked, "Boss, can my daughter do what she said just now?"

The butcher nodded and said, "No problem. Can we start delivering from tomorrow?"

An Ning nodded and said, "Okay, I'll pay you tomorrow when you deliver the pork, and I won't delay."

After the few people made the agreement, An Dashan bought another ten pounds of meat and a plate of ribs, and then took the mother and daughter back home.

Wang heard the noise, came out, and asked anxiously, "How is it? Are you pregnant?"

Gao nodded and said, "The doctor said it's been more than a month."

Wang smiled happily and said, "Thank God for blessing me! I hope you can give me another big fat grandson."

An Dashan came over and said, "Mom, I like both my son and my daughter."

Wang was even happier when she heard her son-in-law say this, and said, "I like both, but it's better to have a large family!"

This was the thinking of the ancients, and An Ning understood it, so she didn't say anything and helped An Dashan move everything into the room.

Gao didn't see her elder brother and younger brother, so she asked, "Where are the elder brother and younger brother?"

Wang said, "Your elder brother has gone home. Let him know he is safe. Otherwise, your elder sister-in-law will be worried."

Gao nodded and said, "That makes sense. Where is my younger brother?"

Wang said, "Your younger brother went to the mountain to chop wood. He said that he felt guilty for taking your wages since he stayed at home all the time. He also chopped a lot of wood in the past month, enough to burn for the whole winter."

Gao was very touched and said, "This little brother is really something. The mountain is covered with snow. How dangerous it is!"

Wang didn't continue the topic, but said: "Since you are all fine, I will go back tomorrow. I still have a lot of things to do at home!"

Gao said, "Mom, it's winter, what could possibly happen at home? You might as well stay here and enjoy your peace and quiet."

Wang smiled and shook her head, saying, "I'm glad you have this intention. How can a mother-in-law always live in her son-in-law's house? Although Dashan is a good person and won't say much, people outside will gossip. When you give birth, I will come to serve you."

Gao knew her mother's temper, so she didn't try to persuade her any further.

After the two of them finished talking, An Ning said to them, "Grandma, Mom, you two can talk. I'll go cook."

Wang also stood up and said, "Let your mother rest, I will go with you to cook." Then she went to the kitchen with An Ning.

An Ning took out the ribs and was about to chop them when Wang took them away. Wang said, "Let me do it. You are so weak, how can you do it?"

An Ning wasn't as fragile as Wang said, but she didn't refute it. She said, "Okay, grandma, you chop the ribs and I'll go steam the rice."

Wang nodded and said, "Go, go."

After An Ning steamed the rice, Wang also chopped the ribs. An Ning saw that there was not much meat on the bones, so she cut another two pounds of fat and lean pork belly. She put the meat and ribs into the pot and blanched them. After the water was blanched, she started to stir-fry the sugar color.

Wang watched An Ning working neatly, and suddenly an idea came to her mind. Daya was about the same age as her second grandson, so she might as well talk to Ying Niang and marry Daya to her second grandson. Wang was a man of action, and she would act immediately when she thought of something. After adding a handful of firewood to the stove, she left the kitchen.

An Ning looked at Wang's hurried back, feeling a little confused.

Gao was making clothes for An Ning in the house. She was startled when she saw Wang rushing into the house. She asked quickly, "What's wrong, mother?"

Wang leaned close to Gao's ear mysteriously and told her what he was thinking.

Gao was also moved after hearing this, but she had to ask her daughter what she thought, so she said, "Mom, I'll ask Ningning tonight. Although we mean well, they will have to live together after all." An Dashan was the man Gao chose, so she knew how good it was to live with someone you love.

Wang also knew what was going on, so she said, "Ask Daya tonight. If she agrees, I'll go back and tell your sister-in-law, and we can make the decision sooner."

Gao nodded and said, "Okay."

An Ning had just finished stewing the ribs and was lighting the fire in front of the stove when he saw An Dashan coming in with two eggs in his hand. So he asked, "Dad, where did you get the eggs?"

An Dashan smiled and said, "Ningning, these hens you bought are really good. I just put them in the chicken coop and they laid two eggs not long after."

An Ning thought, how could it be bad? This is a chicken in space. But she pretended to be surprised and said, "Really? That's great."

An Dashan put the egg down and said, "I'll go meet your uncle. It's so late, why hasn't he come back yet?"

An Ning nodded and said, "Go quickly. When you come back, my meal should be ready."
