According to Wei Yingying, this scenic spot is named Xiaoqikong mainly because of an ancient bridge. The bridge was built in 1835 and has a history of nearly 300 years.
Once a major commercial and tourist route connecting Qiannan to Guangdong Province, it spans the Xiangshui River. The deep blue waters beneath the bridge, flanked by verdant, ancient trees, highlight the bridge's tranquil beauty. The bridge is 40 meters long, 2.2 meters wide, and 5.5 meters high, boasting an arched structure and exquisite craftsmanship.
Although the name of the scenic spot is Xiaoqikong, it is actually a scenic spot, not just Xiaoqikong.
There are several places with beautiful scenery further down, one of which is called Raya Waterfall.
Laya Waterfall originates from a spring in a mountain cave in the upper reaches of the Xiangshui River. It is intercepted and hangs down along the steep bank of the cliff. It has a drop of 30 meters and is more than 20 meters wide. Although it is not as spectacular as the Huangguo Waterfall, it also has its own unique flavor.
Going deeper, you will pass through Xiangshui River and Nunejihai Wetland in turn.
Besides this is Yuanyang Lake.
Yuanyang Lake is about 5,000 meters away from Wolongtan. It is a typical karst blind valley lake with a water area of about 20 hectares and a depth of about 40 meters. It is located in the open flow section of the lower reaches of the Huanghou underground river and is mainly composed of two large lakes, the upper and lower lakes.
Chen Chuan and his friend rented a small boat. It felt great to sail through the woods, as if they were in a tropical rainforest.
