Chapter 278 Li Lingge is dead

The water of Taiyin Spring glowed with a faint blue light, and the cold air condensed into frost flowers that spread on the rocks beside the spring.

Mo Xuan had just taken a step when he heard a muffled sound behind him.

She turned around suddenly and saw Li Lingge kneeling on one knee, with the Xuanyuan Sword inserted into the ice to support his shaky body.

"You--" Mo Xuan swallowed the words back at the tip of his tongue.

The strands of hair on Li Lingge's forehead were soaked with sweat and stuck to his pale cheeks. His eyes, which always had a playful look in them, were now half closed, and the shadow cast by his long eyelashes concealed an unconcealable pain.

There is not enough pure Yin energy in his body.

Mo Xuan bit her lower lip, turned around and walked back to him.

"Why are you trying so hard?"

Although her voice was cold, she reached out and held his shoulders.

The moment the touch came, Mo Xuan's heart trembled. She could feel the scorching temperature, and it was obvious that the heart fire had not been completely suppressed.

Li Lingge looked up, panting, but a familiar arc appeared at the corner of his mouth.

"Looks like I have to trouble you to save me again."

Mo Xuan turned her head away and didn't look at him, but the tips of her ears felt slightly hot.

She recalled what happened in the spring just now, their skin touching, their breaths blending together. The feeling was too intimate, so intimate that it made her feel uneasy.

"Shut up." She roughly pulled his arm and put it on her shoulder. "If it weren't for our tribe, I would have let you rot here."

Li Lingge chuckled softly, and his warm breath brushed past her ears.

"One thing you say, one thing you mean."

Mo Xuan was about to retort when he suddenly felt a weight on his shoulders.

Li Lingge leaned towards her, his chin resting on her neck, his hot breath spraying on her sensitive skin.

She froze in place, her heart beating like a drum.

"I can't walk anymore."

His voice was so weak that it was almost a whisper, and his lips barely brushed against her collarbone.

"Carry me in."

This is clearly an attempt to get close to her by pretending to be sick!

Mo Xuan was so angry that her fingertips were shaking, but she instinctively tightened her arms the moment his body slid down.

Li Lingge transferred all his weight to her, resting his forehead against hers, their noses touching, their breaths intertwined.

“Shameless.”

Mo Xuan squeezed out two words from between her teeth, but bent down resignedly, put one hand through his knees, and picked him up sideways.

The spring water was still icy cold, and Mo Xuan shivered the moment she stepped in. However, Li Lingge in her arms let out a comfortable sigh and snuggled into her arms.

She lowered her head and glared at him, but met his innocent eyes. There was a cunning light in his slightly raised eyes, without any trace of the fragility of being unconscious.

"You're pretending—"

"hot."

Li Lingge twisted restlessly in her arms, and when he stretched out his hand, a splash of water occurred.

Mo Xuan hurriedly held down his restless hands: "Stop it!"

"My shoes and socks are wet."

Li Lingge glanced at Mo Xuan's jade feet. When his fingers touched her ankle, Mo Xuan suddenly trembled slightly.

"I can do it myself."

Mo Xuan was about to reach out her hand, but Li Lingge suddenly grabbed her wrist.

Li Lingge's fingertips gently stroked her pulse, causing a slight shudder.

Mo Xuan pulled her hand back suddenly, but he grabbed her five fingers with his backhand.

The two of them intertwined their fingers in the cold spring water, and the temperature burned from the handshake all the way to their cheeks.

"let go."

She ordered, her voice unconsciously lowering.

Li Lingge pretended not to hear and instead used her other hand to untie her stockings.

Mo Xuan was startled and subconsciously tried to retract her foot, but he held her ankle tightly.

"What are you doing!" Her voice changed.

Li Lingge slowly took off her stockings, his fingertips tracing the curve of her instep and drawing ambiguous circles at her ankle.

Mo Xuan's whole body stiffened and her toes curled up unconsciously.

"Dirty, don't..."

Her voice trembled as she reached out to grab the stockings he had taken off.

Li Lingge held the stockings in his palm and lowered his head to sniff them.

“It’s not dirty.”

"you!"

Mo Xuan was both embarrassed and angry, and slapped the water with her palm, and the splashing water wet their faces.

Li Lingge didn't dodge or evade, letting the water droplets slide down his chin, but his eyes were always locked on her face, so hot that it almost burned her.

In the spring, Li Lingge suddenly stopped teasing.

He let go of Mo Xuan's feet and raised his hand to touch her cheek.

"I might be unconscious for a while, so I might need you to take me there."

Mo Xuan was stunned, and the embarrassment she had just felt was instantly replaced by worry.

She grabbed his wrist: "How long?"

"uncertain."

Li Lingge's breathing became heavy and his eyelids began to droop uncontrollably.

"Chaos Azure Lotus... We can't let them get it first..."

"I'll buy you time."

Mo Xuan's tone was firm and decisive, and there was an urgency in his voice that he himself didn't even realize.

Li Lingge smiled weakly: "Are you so nervous about me?"

"Shut up."

Mo Xuan turned her face away, but felt a warmth on her forehead. Li Lingge kissed her lightly, fleetingly like a dragonfly touching the water.

"I'll leave it to you."

His voice became softer and softer, and finally he tilted his head and fell asleep on her shoulder.

Mo Xuan stood there for a moment before slowly tightening his arms.

She lowered her head to look at the peaceful sleeping face of the man in her arms, and as if possessed, she traced his brow bone with her fingers, her movements as gentle as if she were treating a fragile treasure.

"asshole!"

She cursed softly, but her eyes felt slightly hot.

After one stick of incense.

After everything was packed up, Mo Xuan carried Li Lingge on his back and secured him securely with spider silk.

His weight pressed against my back, familiar yet strange.

Mo Xuan took a deep breath and flew into the air.
