Chapter 108 Mission Completed

Chapter 108 Mission Completed

Gu Ye came to his senses, ecstasy washing over him, nearly making him stagger. Had he truly succeeded? This was no longer a vain fantasy in a dream, but a tangible reality: he had brought Gu Hongyuan down, taking back everything his mother and he had lost.

He looked at the smiling Chu Yan in front of him. In those eyes, which were always filled with tenderness and affection, he could clearly see his own excitement, which was almost out of control. Thousands of words were stuck in his throat, but he couldn't say a single word.

Chu Yan raised an eyebrow and gestured toward the door. Gu Ye understood immediately, took a deep breath, and tried to calm his pounding heart. He and Chu Yan walked side by side out of the still-noisy conference room. The door closed behind them, isolating them from the conflict that had changed the fate of countless people.

As soon as he entered Gu Ye's office and the heavy wooden door locked, Gu Ye finally released the tension he had been holding onto all day. He turned around abruptly, tightly grasped Chu Yan's hand, and pulled him towards him, almost eagerly raising his head to kiss him.

This kiss carried the trembling of surviving a catastrophe, the excitement of having avenged a great vengeance, and a certain indescribable deep longing. Chu Yan was slightly startled, then responded readily. He wrapped one arm around Gu Ye's slender waist, and with the other, he casually tossed the laptop he had been holding onto the expensive leather sofa next to him. Then, he firmly grasped the back of Gu Ye's head, taking control and deepening the kiss.

The air quickly heated up, and an ambiguous breath filled the empty office.

"Do you want to... try it here?" Gu Ye was a little overwhelmed by the kiss. His eyes were wet, flashing with boldness and anticipation, and his voice was a little hoarse due to his emotions.

Chu Yan chuckled softly, his breath brushing against Gu Ye's reddened earlobe: "So bold, aren't you afraid of being seen?"

"There's no one on this floor right now... and I locked the door when I came in just now." Gu Ye panted, his fingertips nimbly unbuttoning the first button of Chu Yan's suit.

Chu Yan didn't say anything else, but instead responded with his actions. He kissed Gu Ye again, and with force in his hands, he half-pushed, half-carried him towards the huge one-way glass window. Outside the window was the bustling city skyline, while inside, spring light suddenly appeared.

Gu Ye was pressed against the slightly cool glass and couldn't help but groan. Behind him was Chu Yan's scorching chest and scorching body temperature. Through the reflection of the glass, he could vaguely see the overlapping figures of the two people. This secret and exciting scene made him tremble all over.

Feeling Chu Yan's presence, he finally confirmed in his confusion and bewilderment that he had done it. Not only did he avenge his mother and take back everything that belonged to him, but at this moment, he also truly possessed this illusory man.

After an unknown amount of time, the intense lovemaking gradually subsided.

Gu Ye panted slightly, almost collapsing in Chu Yan's arms. Chu Yan leaned against the wide sofa, holding him with one arm, and with the other arm across him, casually picked up a document that had been prepared on the coffee table, and at the same time, kissed Gu Ye's sweaty back soothingly.

"Baby, sign this." His voice still had the lazy hoarseness of afterward, and it sounded particularly sexy.

Gu Ye was completely languid, not wanting to move even his fingertips. He completely trusted and relied on Chu Yan. He dazedly used the pen Chu Yan handed him and signed his name at the end of the document, his handwriting a bit sloppy.

"What is this?" he asked casually, rubbing his head against Chu Yan's shoulder.

"A gift for you." Chu Yan didn't explain much, just smiled meaningfully, his eyes swept across the signed document, and a hint of complex emotions flashed across his eyes.

At the same time, the system's prompt sounded clearly in his mind: [Mission completed.]

He casually threw the document back onto the coffee table, as if it were really just an insignificant little gift.

Gu Ye didn't care. He was immersed in a huge sense of satisfaction and exhaustion. He rested for a long time before reluctantly getting up to clean up. Looking at the darkening sky outside the window, he remembered that he had to hold a crucial press conference later.

"Aren't you going?" Gu Ye straightened his clothes while looking at Chu Yan, who was still lazily sitting at the edge of the table. A slight uneasiness flashed through his heart for no reason. Chu Yan's expression was too calm, as if the passion and the thrill before had nothing to do with him.

"You are the only protagonist of Gu's press conference." Chu Yan looked at him with a smile, his eyes still gentle, even more relaxed than usual, as if all the burdens had been lifted off his shoulders. "If I were here, I would steal your limelight."

Gu Ye pursed his lips, feeling that what he said made sense. He had to learn to face all this alone and couldn't always rely on Chu Yan. He had wanted to discuss with Chu Yan that they would go to the cemetery together tomorrow to see his mother and tell her the good news in person, but when he checked the time, the press conference was about to begin.

"Okay, I'll go by myself." Gu Ye nodded, adjusted his tie, took a deep breath, and tried to appear calm, "Wait for me to come back."

He pushed open the heavy door of his office, walked out, and took firm steps towards the stage that belonged to him.

Chu Yan watched the door slowly close, the gentle smile on his face faded like the tide, gradually returning to a bottomless calm.

He was the only one left in the office, along with the document left on the coffee table - it was an agreement for the free transfer of equity. Chu Yan transferred all the interests related to the Gu Group he held to Gu Ye.

[The system is gone.] He confirmed calmly in his mind.

There was no one in the office anymore.

At this moment, the screen of Chu Yan's phone, which he had left on the sofa, suddenly lit up and vibrated. A name was clearly displayed on the screen - Mountain.

The phone rang stubbornly, over and over, until it finally shut down from low battery. The screen dimmed, the last ray of light vanished, and the entire office fell into complete silence.
