Chapter 97 Business is booming.

Chapter 97 Business is booming.

[Gossip Frontline: Front row seat! I thought there was some exciting gossip going on, but it's just about eating dumplings and playing scratch-off lottery tickets. These marketing accounts must be out of things to post (cat speechless.gif)]

However, the person in the photo is indeed Yang Shuyi. She wore the smoky pink dress before, when attending a M-brand offline event in G city. The dusty pink and dark purple baseball cap she's wearing is a classic J-brand design, which she previously appeared in photos taken at Shanghai airport. Also, in the photo of her eating dumplings at a restaurant, there's a red mole on the outside of her right wrist, confirming it's definitely her (verified.jpg).

[Yi will definitely get better: Oh my god, it really is my Shuyi! She looks great, no wonder she's my goddess! Congratulations Shuyi, happy wrap-up! Have fun now that work is over, eat and drink well, and have a great time!]

[Jasmine Fragrance: Wow, that's rare! Shuyi used to say she doesn't really like eating out, and they usually eat in private rooms when they go to restaurants, but this time they're eating in the main hall. The dumplings look really delicious, and Shuyi seems to be enjoying them so much. If I have the chance, I want to try this restaurant too!]

[One Book Follows a Lifetime: Speechless. Can we please stop exposing celebrities' private schedules so casually? It's perfectly normal for them to find a restaurant in Jiang City after filming wraps up, why is it worth making a fuss about? (Smash the marketing accounts.gif)]

Hehe, as expected of my Shuyi! She can trend on social media just by randomly picking a restaurant to eat at. This candid photo is just too beautiful! Even with a mask on, her stunning facial features are undeniable. She's gorgeous! (heart emoji)

[Jigsaw Heart: Ahhhhh, it's been so long! Shuyi looks even more beautiful now! Looking forward to the premiere of "Ten-Year Promise" so we can all admire Shuyi's stunning beauty (starry eyes.jpg)]

I just checked out Gu's Private Kitchen and now I finally understand why Shuyi went there! Every dish looks so delicious, absolutely irresistible! I've definitely followed them, and I'll definitely check them out when I go to Jiang City!

[A cultured person who doesn't like to swear: Wow, I'm hugging a beautiful and adorable baby Shuyi! Hehe, I'm currently traveling in Jiang City, and when I didn't know what to buy, I suddenly saw that baby Shuyi went to Gu's Private Kitchen for dumplings, and I've decided! Tonight I'm going to Gu's Private Kitchen for dumplings!]

[I cherish you like my own life: Waaaaah, who understands how happy it is for your favorite goddess to eat at your favorite restaurant? How is this any different from a dream collaboration!]

I'd like to take this opportunity to wholeheartedly recommend the best restaurant in Jiang City (my personal pick): Gu's Private Kitchen. The owner creates a daily menu based on the ingredients they purchase and posts it on their official Weibo and Xiaohongshu accounts at 10 AM. The comments section is filled with photos of customers enjoying their meals – it's a treasure trove of culinary delights. If you're interested, follow @Gu'sPrivateKitchen (I'm such a nice guy, Gu's Private Kitchen is incredibly popular right now; if you don't go right at opening time, you'll likely have to wait in line).

[...]

Most of the comments with the most likes are Yang Shuyi's fans, who rushed to the comment section to speak and control the narrative. It seems that everyone is accepting of this matter.

After all, it was just a relaxing meal out for the celebrities after filming wrapped up; there was no exposure of a relationship or any misconduct. Besides, there are quite a few comments in the thread discussing it.

Some people were curious about Gu's private kitchen and said they would like to try it if they have the chance.

Several people who had previously heard of or even dined at Gu's Private Kitchen and loved it highly recommended it to everyone, saying things like, "Eat it and you'll be happy for life; don't eat it and you'll regret it for life!"

Of course, there will be haters or rival fans making sarcastic remarks in these comments, and Yang Shuyi's fans will immediately retort with a thread, but Gu Qingqiu chooses to scroll past them.

She roughly understood that most netizens were curious about their restaurant appearing on the trending topics list, and might even follow the trail to check out her Weibo and Xiaohongshu accounts.

If the food photos in the comments section of each post on your homepage are tempting enough to whet the appetites of netizens and get them to follow you, then your restaurant has made a profit!

Moreover, compared to having to search for their own restaurant on Xiaohongshu (Little Red Book), more netizens will likely come directly to the official Weibo account.

Gu Qingqiu immediately left the comment section of this blog post, swiped left to exit, clicked on "My Account", and sure enough, her followers had suddenly increased by more than 20,000!

My restaurant was just a minor supporting character in this Weibo trending topic, and in just over three hours, it actually gained more than 20,000 followers. It seems that the content quality of my restaurant's official account is quite good and very attractive!

Gu Qingqiu watched as the total number of fans jumped past 100,000 after this sudden surge in traffic, reaching over 110,000, and the corners of her mouth turned up in a wild smile.

It's really not easy. The popularity of the official Weibo account has never been as good as that of Xiaohongshu, and the fan activity is also much lower. While Xiaohongshu has long since broken through the 100,000 fan mark and continues to grow, Weibo still only has more than 90,000 fans.

Gu Qingqiu clicked into today's blog post, and the comment section was much more lively than usual. The top comments were exactly the same as those on Xiaohongshu, almost entirely dominated by Yang Shuyi's fans and netizens who had come from the trending topics. Only a little further down could one see the food photos posted by fans earlier.

[vifiso: Today's dumpling feast at Gu's Private Kitchen really amazed me! I've never had such delicious dumplings before! We ordered boiled dumplings, steamed dumplings, and pan-fried dumplings. Among them, we ordered the "Family Reunion" dumplings. Every kind of meat filling was very salty and flavorful. After soaking up the soup, they were moist and delicious, and they were very appetizing to chew.]

My absolute favorite is the sauerkraut and pork dumplings. I personally think they're just as good as those in Northeastern dumpling restaurants. The sour and salty flavor of the sauerkraut blends perfectly with the savory aroma of the minced meat. I almost swallowed my tongue while eating them (crying and laughing.jpg).

The steamed dumplings weren't the kind you just steam at home. Each plate had two rows of dumplings with a layer of garlic oil brushed on top, making them look shiny and the aroma of garlic was already strong as soon as they were served.

Steamed dumplings can only be ordered in two combinations at most, so we got a combination of shiitake mushroom and pork dumplings and cabbage and pork dumplings. The former was extra fresh, while the latter was crisp, tender, and juicy. The garlicky aroma permeated every bite of the filling, making it incredibly delicious and leaving a lingering aftertaste!

Pan-fried dumplings are a typical breakfast item in Jiangshi. You can only choose one or two kinds. I chose the classic chive and pork pan-fried dumplings and the corn and pork pan-fried dumplings.

From the moment they were served, I knew these pan-fried dumplings would be delicious. Each one was fried to a golden brown and crispy perfection, with beautiful bubbles of oil floating on the dumpling skin. And they certainly lived up to that. The outer skin was incredibly crispy with a satisfying crunch, while the meat filling inside was tender and juicy. The chive and pork dumplings were even more crunchy because of the added water chestnut pieces, while the corn and pork dumplings were slightly sweeter and also very tasty!

Today's dumpling feast at Gu's Private Kitchen was unexpectedly delicious; it was almost certainly the best dumplings I've ever eaten in my 30-plus years of life.

This dumpling meal was incredibly satisfying, and it made us realize that Gu's Private Kitchen not only makes a variety of delicious dishes, but their noodles are also exceptionally well-made. We look forward to having noodle days, rice noodle days, and pastry days from time to time...

This was undoubtedly a long review, but Gu Qingqiu read it carefully and could really feel the netizen's love for the dumplings at his restaurant from the lines.

She was also very happy that the dumpling feast she spontaneously created was enjoyed by so many people.

This long comment stood out in the top of the comment section, far more eye-catching than the short comments casually posted by Yang Shuyi's fans or netizens. As a result, it attracted their attention, and quite a few comments were generated. Gu Qingqiu couldn't resist clicking in to take a look.

[Lonely Heart: Brother, your writing skills are impressive! I was only a 5 out of 10 in interest in Gu's Private Kitchen before, but after reading your comment, it instantly jumped to 8. I'm definitely following Gu's Private Kitchen now. I'll save the remaining 2 points for when I try it during my trip to Jiang City.]

[Hateful Kid: Oh my god, this is the first time I've seen dumplings described so vividly and in such a variety of ways! It seems Gu's Private Kitchen dumplings really are delicious. And let me tell you, seeing these photos makes my mouth water. I hope I'll have a chance to eat at Gu's Private Kitchen sometime; tonight I'll start with a dumpling restaurant!]

[Thinking of you at night: I never imagined I'd be so tempted by dumplings! These steamed dumplings look so delicious! I never knew you could steam them with garlic and oil; I have to try it sometime! The pan-fried dumplings look crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, so fragrant! I've already followed Gu's Private Kitchen, and it's located in Jiang City, but I've never heard of it before. I have to try it tonight!]

[At the moment the fireworks burst in all their glory: This is truly the first time I've found a restaurant that suits my taste so perfectly! Whether it's today's dumplings or the previous dishes, every single one looked incredibly tempting! I've already followed them, and I'll definitely eat there if I ever have the chance to go to Jiang City!]

Gu Qingqiu scrolled through the comments, her smile deepening. This long review was so excellent that she decided to type a reply.

[Gu's Private Kitchen: Your writing is so good, it makes my mouth water (cat calling out to eat dumplings.gif) Thank you so much for your likes and suggestions. If I have the chance, I'll definitely organize a noodle day, a rice noodle day, a pastry day...]

After leaving the thread, she read some other comments and, as usual, picked out the more interesting ones to reply to. She also replied to the comments from the new netizens who had joined earlier.

After the usual interaction, Gu Qingqiu thought for a moment and then posted a new Weibo post.

[Gu's Private Kitchen: I woke up to find that I've surpassed 100,000 followers, and I even got on the trending topics list thanks to @SmilingYangShuyi. There are so many new friends in the comments section too. Thank you so much, I'm honored! (So many people!.gif)]

Our restaurant always serves customers with sincerity and enthusiasm, striving to provide them with a delicious dining experience. We create our daily menu based on the ingredients we purchase, and we hope to see you all again someday! (heart emoji)

After posting on Weibo, Gu Qingqiu immediately logged out and opened Xiaohongshu (Little Red Book) to check her profile. She found that she had gained 10,000 followers there as well. It seemed that today was truly a lucky day for her and the restaurant!

She managed to handle the massive influx of traffic!

Gu Qingqiu couldn't help but laugh out loud at the thought that her fanbase would continue to grow.

Her hands didn't stop moving as she clicked back into the comments section of the notes she posted today, replying to each one carefully.

After completing today's interaction, she copied the content of the Weibo post she had just published and posted it as a new note.

Looking at the time displayed in the upper right corner of my phone screen now, it's almost four o'clock.

Sure enough, time flies when you're scrolling through your phone. Gu Qingqiu quickly grabbed the remote and turned off the air conditioner, put her phone on the bedside table, got out of bed to change her clothes, and then went to the bathroom to wash her face.

After drinking a glass of water, she took her phone and went downstairs. Just then, Wang Meiyu came over, and the two of them went into the kitchen to start making dumplings.

When Sister Zhou arrived a little later, she first took out the bowls, chopsticks, and spoons that had been washed and placed in the sterilizer at noon and moved them to the dish cabinet in the dining area. Then she moved the plates and other dishes to the dish cabinet in the kitchen near the stove.

Everyone was busy with their own things, but they were also talking about how the restaurant was trending on social media. They were all very happy, knowing that the restaurant's business would definitely be booming, especially tonight.

Wang Meiyu asked Zhou Jie curiously if she had noticed Yang Shuyi at noon.

Sister Zhou didn't have much of an impression at first, but she found out that the big star Yang Shuyi had come to the restaurant for a meal when she habitually checked her family's restaurant's official account at home in the afternoon.

She didn't know much about the entertainment industry, only occasionally seeing this actress on TV dramas, and thought she was very beautiful and acted very realistically. After learning about her in the afternoon, she made a special effort to find out more about her.

At this point, Sister Zhou said with a smile, "I didn't really notice at first, but now that you mention it, I do remember her, because out of all the customers who came to the restaurant, she was the only one who wore a hat and mask the whole time after entering the store. But I didn't pay much attention to it at the time..."

At Jiangshi Film and Television City, Xiaoyun and Yang Shuyi returned to the hotel at noon and stayed in Yang Shuyi's room for a while. Both of them were still immersed in the delicious dumpling feast and the joy of winning a 100-yuan scratch-off lottery ticket, and chatted for quite a while.

Seeing that it was almost 1:30, Xiaoyun quickly said, "Sister Xiaoyi, you should get some sleep. I'll take these dumplings to the hotel refrigerator and then go back to sleep too."

Yang Shuyi considers herself an energetic person. Sometimes when filming, she would rather play on her phone than sleep at noon. She doesn't know if it's because she ate too many carbohydrates at noon, but after hearing what Xiaoyun said, she suddenly felt sleepy.

Anyway, there's nothing to do after filming wraps up, and no schedule for the afternoon, so taking a nice nap is the perfect thing to do.

She nodded: "Okay, I'm going to take a nap now. After you put the dumplings away, you should also go back to your room and get some sleep. You've worked hard today."

Xiaoyun smiled and shook her head: "I'm not tired at all. I had a great time eating dumplings at Gu's Private Kitchen today. I also won a hundred-yuan scratch-off lottery ticket. I've never been this lucky in my life. I'm still excited!"

Yang Shuyi recalled the surprise she felt when she saw Xiaoyun scratch off the same number and win 100 yuan at the lottery shop, and laughed, "It's the first time I've ever seen someone win 100 yuan playing scratch-off lottery."

She gestured with her chin and urged, "Go and rest, we'll talk again when we're awake."

Xiaoyun smiled and agreed, picked up the pretty takeout bag from Gu's Private Kitchen, got up and left Xiaoyi's room. She walked familiarly to the hotel refrigerator, greeted the waiter, labeled her dumplings and handed them to her. After watching her put them in the refrigerator, she returned to her own room.

She changed into her pajamas, lay down on the bed, closed her eyes, and was just drifting off to sleep when her phone suddenly rang.

Xiaoyun squinted and reached for her phone on the bedside table. When she saw that the caller was Sister Li, she was instantly wide awake and sat up to answer the phone: "Hello, Sister Li."

Sister Li: "Xiaoyun, did you and Shuyi go to Gu's Private Kitchen for dumplings today? And you also played scratch-off lottery tickets?"

Hearing this, Xiaoyun's last bit of sleepiness vanished, and she thought to herself, "Oh no, could I have really been filmed?"

At this point, she couldn't lie, so she had to confess: "Sister Li, Sister Xiaoyi and I went to Gu's Private Kitchen for dumplings at noon. I bought the scratch-off lottery tickets, and Sister Xiaoyi just stood by and watched without participating."

After saying that, Xiaoyun asked tentatively in a soft voice, "So we were filmed?"

Sister Li said irritably, "Yeah, you guys are trending on social media. If the network technology team hadn't detected it and notified me, I wouldn't have known you were living such a carefree life. Couldn't you just order dumplings and have them delivered to your hotel? If you're going to eat out, at least find a decent restaurant and have a good meal in a private room. That would be so much better."

There was a hint of disappointment or frustration in his words.

Xiaoyun couldn't help but retort softly, "Sister Li, Gu's Private Kitchen is a really delicious restaurant. The dumplings today were better than any I've ever eaten at before! We only went to Gu's Private Kitchen because we were going back to Beijing soon. We were being very careful the whole time, but who knew we'd still be photographed..."

As she spoke, her voice grew softer and softer, losing all the momentum she had at the beginning.

Sister Li is a perceptive person. She immediately understood the hidden meaning in her words and asked directly, "You only went to the restaurant once, which means you've already ordered takeout before?"

"Ah..." Xiaoyun didn't expect that her words would still give her away. After hesitating for a while, she still admitted it and tried to defend herself: "We've ordered takeout from this restaurant a few times. The food here is really delicious, healthy and nutritious. Sister Xiaoyi even lost weight the day after eating here."

"Oh, so you've already eaten like this a few times already." Sister Li laughed in exasperation. "So you just keep eating like this all the time? Shuyi is trying to lose weight by controlling her diet, but she can't control herself. Don't you, as her assistant, know how to advise her?"

Xiaoyun didn't dare to refuse at this point, and muttered, "I'm just craving it myself... We don't have any big fish or meat dishes, we just eat a balanced diet of eggs, meat and vegetables as usual. Sister Xiaoyi always adds extra time to her workout after eating."

"And Sister Li, look, Sister Xiaoyi has also been controlling her weight very well lately. She's lost weight down to 85 pounds and has maintained it ever since. Her skin is also in great condition. Didn't she even trend on social media for this not long ago?"

She knew what Sister Li was worried about. Besides concerns about the health and hygiene of food eaten outside, she was also worried that it would be high in oil, salt, and sugar, which might affect her skin condition. Female celebrities pay a lot of attention to these things.

Sister Li knew all this, so her anger subsided quickly: "At least you know how to control yourselves. Next time, just say what you're doing so directly, so I can be mentally prepared." She then asked, "Is there anything else you're hiding from me?"

After thinking for a moment, Xiaoyun decided to tell them about the miraculous healing effects of Gu's private kitchen.

After she finished speaking, she hurriedly said, "Sister Li, please let me finish speaking first." Then she talked about the changes that Sister Xiaoyi had after eating Gu's Private Kitchen. She could lose weight or maintain her weight every time, and her skin condition was getting better and better. The makeup artist praised her several times.

She also mentioned the notes she saw on Xiaohongshu from netizens about the changes they experienced after eating Gu's Private Kitchen dishes consecutively.

Xiaoyun then turned on her phone's speakerphone, and while speaking, she opened Xiaohongshu (Little Red Book) and went to her favorites section, gradually transferring those notes to Sister Li's WeChat, and finally summarizing.

"Sister Li, take a look at these notes I sent you. I think it's probably true that so many people are giving feedback. Sister Xiaoyi has also experienced the benefits of eating Gu's Private Kitchen continuously, and even my complexion has looked much better recently. You can take a look first and then decide."

Sister Li calmed down and regained the comprehensive judgment that an agent should have. She nodded and replied, "Okay, I'll check it later. The overall public opinion on the trending topics today is still positive. It's normal for Shuyi to relax and have a meal after finishing filming. Don't worry about it. There are still many places to visit in Jiang City. You can stay there for a few more days, but be sure to take precautions."

"Have Shuyi call me again after she wakes up."

"Okay, thank you, Sister Li. By the way, Sister Xiaoyi doesn't know about the amazing effects of eating Gu's Private Kitchen dishes continuously, because she hasn't figured out how to tell you yet," Xiaoyun said.

Sister Li replied, "I understand. I'll talk to Shuyi after I've reviewed the notes you sent and confirmed them."

Fearing that young people might be too stressed, she joked, "After all, if it really has such amazing effects, helping to control weight and beautify the skin, wouldn't that be much better than getting cosmetic procedures? Who doesn't love to eat something delicious? And other celebrities don't know this yet. If you maintain your figure well, it might even help Shuyi get a high-end skincare and makeup endorsement. I'll start planning it out."

Hearing Sister Li's words, Xiaoyun immediately breathed a sigh of relief, knowing that she was no longer angry.

Moreover, this might even help Sister Xiaoyi get more endorsements, so she was particularly happy and nodded in agreement, "Okay, then Sister Li, you go ahead and get busy."

After ending the call, Xiaoyun completely relaxed, but she was wide awake, so she simply lay in bed and played on her phone.

When Yang Shuyi woke up in the afternoon, Xiaoyun told her that she was trending on social media and that Sister Li had called her. She quickly went online to check the trending topic and exclaimed, "Thank goodness, the photos of me are quite pretty, there aren't any ugly ones."

Then he quickly called Sister Li.

Not to mention how shocked she was when she heard Sister Li say that eating Gu's Private Kitchen continuously was good for her health, and that her weight loss and improved skin condition were related to Gu's Private Kitchen, the actors and staff in the "Ten-Year Promise" crew who were still filming were also very curious when they saw the trending topic that Yang Shuyi had made a special trip to Gu's Private Kitchen to eat dumplings. Many of them asked someone to run errands to buy dumplings for them, and after taking a bite, they completely fell in love with Gu's Private Kitchen.

Meanwhile, the Gu Family Private Kitchen on Suli Street is experiencing unprecedented business during its evening hours.

The existing customer base was there, and many others came out of curiosity after seeing it trending on social media today. According to Sister Zhou, she heard many people ask, "Is this the restaurant where Yang Shuyi ate lunch?"

Some people were even willing to wait past their turn just to sit at the same table where Yang Shuyi had lunch.
