Chapter 201 Brotherhood Alliance

“Me too,” the Second Elder replied.

"Me too!"

Now, almost all the elders in the conference hall stood up. Only a few elders remained seated, as they, like Ye Sitian, felt that the Soul Clan could be given a chance.

I don't know why these elders are so agitated.

When Ye Sitian saw that so many elders disagreed with him and even said they wanted to leave Fengyun Pavilion, he immediately became anxious.

"Elders, please don't get agitated. We can discuss this calmly. We are all members of the Fengyun Pavilion, so please don't do anything that could harm the Fengyun Pavilion."

"Sect Master Ye," the Grand Elder said, "The Soul Clan absolutely cannot form a brotherhood alliance with us. The resources of the two great temples were painstakingly acquired by Senior Ye Lingtian; we cannot give them to those treacherous beings!"

"That's right, we can't give them to them. Why should we give the things of Fengyun Pavilion to outsiders!"

"Gentlemen," Ye Mo stood up, "this act is over."

Everyone was taken aback, and a hint of panic was clearly visible in the elder's eyes.

"Young Master, what do you mean? Don't you trust us?"

Ye Sitian also comforted her, "Mo'er, that's enough. Don't say anything too harsh. We're here to negotiate, not to argue."

Ye Mo shook his head.

“Father, you may not know this, but I’ve been getting closer to the elders of the Soul Clan, and some of them, and I’ve discovered something.”

"Oh, what is it?" Ye Sitian became interested.

Ye Mo looked at the Grand Elder and said solemnly, "The Grand Elder of my Fengyun Pavilion, along with some other elders, have taken most of the resources of the two great temples for their own use."

"They conspired with the elders who controlled the resources to secretly transport a lot of resources to their own family."

"They also secretly undermine the morale of the other elders so that when it's time to leave, they can leave easily, return to their own families, and live out their old age in comfort by relying on smuggled resources!"

"The reason I disagree with the alliance with the Soul Clan is that I'm afraid the Soul Clan will find out and expose it in time. Besides, the elders of the Jade Cloud Sect don't come to my Wind Cloud Pavilion very often."

"Am I right, Elder, and the other elders?"

"You, you're talking nonsense!" the elder retorted.

The Second Elder was furious, his face turning red and his neck bulging. "We are the heroes of Fengyun Pavilion, how could we do anything to harm Fengyun Pavilion? Young Pavilion Master, you have been misled by outsiders and cannot tell the difference for the moment."

"Really? Then what are these?" After Ye Mo finished speaking, he took out letters, resource transfer orders, and trial orders from his storage ring.

“These are all letters you’ve exchanged with your family clan. These lists are evidence that you’ve secretly swapped out some immortal artifacts, elixirs, cultivation techniques, and other resources.”

“My father, as the head of the pavilion, is extremely busy and has no time to investigate such matters. But I have a way. Don’t forget, the intelligence department of the Wind and Cloud Pavilion was established at my strong request in the first place.”

When the evidence was presented, many people were stunned and didn't know how to explain it.

The elder looked at the familiar letters and papers, made a snap decision, and decided to just go all out.

"Yes, we do do that, but we're all veterans of the Wind and Cloud Pavilion, what's wrong with enjoying some good fortune?"

"Moreover, during that great calamity for Fengyun Pavilion, none of us deserted our posts. Young Pavilion Master, what you're saying is too hurtful."

“Yes, Young Master, Fengyun Pavilion doesn’t belong to just two people, it belongs to everyone. We can’t be so selfish!” said an elderly elder.

“We work ourselves to the bone, do you think we can’t even enjoy some resources?” another middle-aged elder said.

Faced with the questions from the elders, Ye Mo smiled slightly.

“I can pretend I didn’t see these letters and these sheets of paper, and then I can burn them.”

“You are all still elders of Fengyun Pavilion. You can send resources to your families. I understand that people have selfish motives.”

“But you’ve given too much. A family needs hundreds of immortal artifacts, hundreds of cultivation manuals, and thousands of elixirs. These are all of the immortal grade. If they were ordinary ones, there would be even more.”

“But your family doesn’t have anyone more capable than you, right? You’re taking these resources back to create a second power.”

"Use the blood you sucked in the Wind and Cloud Pavilion to build up your family's wealth!"

"That's not how it is!" the elder shouted angrily.

"Young Master, please don't speak nonsense."

"Why do you say that?"

Ye Mo was helpless when he saw that everyone still had a defiant attitude.

After clapping their hands, the two elders at the back of the meeting hall stood up.

The Grand Elder and the others turned around and found that the two elders were the ones in charge of resources. These two elders had been with them before.

“What the young master said is correct. The elder and others used coercion and enticement against the two of us, which caused the resources that Fengyun Pavilion obtained from the two temples to shrink significantly.”

"He also demanded that the two of us not divulge this information, or we would be killed."

The elders and the others turned ashen-faced. What was going on?

How did things turn out like this when everything was perfectly fine?

Ye Mo pressed on, "Elders, I haven't finished speaking yet. You can send resources back, but don't send too many. The same applies to this alliance with the Soul Clan."

"The cultivation techniques and immortal skills of the Soul Clan are very different from ours. Their foundation is in no way weaker than that of the Eight Great Temples."

“They don’t lack these resources at all. Elders, please don’t downplay the issue. If we can get the resources back, none of this could have happened.”

"As elders, you are already receiving quite a lot of benefits."

Ye Mo was right. After the crisis at Fengyun Pavilion, these elders basically had everything they wanted and wielded immense power.

That's why this happened; it wouldn't have happened to Fengyun Pavilion before the crisis.

Ye Sitian looked at Ye Mo with satisfaction. He hadn't expected his son to have done so much quietly. He had grown into a capable adult.

Thinking of this, he felt a sense of relief.

However, Ye Mo's earnest words did not win the approval of the elders.

The First Elder said angrily, "I don't care about any of that. I've done so much for Fengyun Pavilion, and now Fengyun Pavilion must compensate me. Since the Young Pavilion Master and the Pavilion Master don't like us, then let's leave!"

After saying this, the First Elder turned and left, followed by the Second Elder and many other elders. When the First Elder passed by the two elders who were in charge of resources, he deliberately launched an attack and injured them.

Ye Sitian was furious and slammed his fist on the table.

"Elders, halt!"

His words had no effect. In the blink of an eye, only five or six elders remained in the meeting hall. Apart from the two injured elders who were in charge of resources, the other elders were insignificant.

"These guys are going too far," Ye Sitian said through gritted teeth.
