A tall, thin, middle-aged cultivator shouted to his disciples.
"If we had been any later, our Myriad Stars Sect would have truly been wiped out!"
"Master, how did these demons suddenly appear? There wasn't a sound before!"
A young disciple beside him was sweating profusely as he activated the magic array, his voice hurried and trembling with emotion.
"Who cares where they came from! They're going to wipe out our Myriad Stars Sect this time! Enough with the nonsense, just pile up all the spirit stones! We'll hold out as long as we can!"
The middle-aged monk said through gritted teeth.
"But Master, our spirit stone vault is already..."
The young disciple lowered his head, and before he could finish speaking, a deafening roar came from behind him.
The mountain-protecting formation exploded with a deafening roar, and blinding purple-black energy waves swept outwards, instantly blasting dozens of disciples away, their screams echoing throughout the area.
"Hahahaha! This wretched place is truly a place for useless trash who don't even bother to struggle!"
A demon chuckled loudly, its form constantly shifting, sometimes appearing as a gigantic tentacle monster, sometimes as a humanoid figure covered in spikes.
"Old man, stop glaring at me, it won't do any good."
You might as well just accept your fate! I'm too lazy to even lift a finger!
The demon's voice was as grating as fingernails scraping against glass.
The middle-aged cultivator gritted his teeth and stood up.
He glanced back at his disciples, who were already on the verge of death, and his eye twitched slightly.
"Even if we, the Myriad Stars Sect, are wiped out today, we will never bow down to you demons!"
He roared and charged at the demon with his sword.
"Tsk tsk tsk, are there still idiots like this these days!"
The demon lazily raised a deformed claw, and a beam of purplish-black light shot out.
However, the beam of light had only traveled halfway when it suddenly seemed to hit an invisible wall and vanished into thin air.
"who?"
The demon's voice instantly became shrill, all traces of its previous mockery vanished.
"You extraterrestrial demons are really getting more and more audacious!"
A voice rang out.
"Master is here! Master is here!"
A small fire darted over from a distance, circled the demon twice, and then spewed out a ball of Nine Yang Heavenly Fire, instantly burning one of the demon's tentacles to ashes.
"Aaaaaah! What kind of monster are you?!"
The demon screamed in agony, its tentacles flailing wildly as it tried to extinguish the flames, but the Nine Yang Heavenly Fire clung to it like a leech, burning even more fiercely.
"Shut up!"
Ye Lingtian's figure slowly appeared from the air, with a seven-colored longsword hovering beside him.
He glanced at the demon indifferently.
"Someone like you dares to yell and shout here!"
The demon was so terrified that it was no longer human; it struggled to its knees on the ground.
"My lord, spare me! I was just following orders, I knew nothing!"
"Oh? You don't know?"
Ye Lingtian smiled slightly, and with a gentle wave of his seven-colored longsword, the demon's body exploded instantly, leaving only a trembling ball of light.
"No, no! I really don't know! Ask me anything, I'll tell you everything!"
The ball of light emitted a sound of despair.
"If you had said so earlier, wouldn't it have saved you a lot of trouble?"
Ye Lingtian said calmly.
"Speak, you demons, what schemes are you plotting lately?"
"I'll tell you! I'll tell you everything!"
The ball of light readily agreed.
"We've all been... ah!"
Before it could finish speaking, Little Fire swallowed it whole.
"Master, it's lying to you! This kind of thing isn't worth wasting your time on!"
Xiao Huo smacked his lips.
"However, the taste is quite strange!"
"If you do this again, I'll throw you right back into the void!"
Ye Lingtian gave Xiao Huo a cold look.
"Hey, hey, no, Master! I was wrong, okay? I promise I won't interrupt you next time!"
Xiao Huo quickly lowered his head, looking ingratiating.
Ye Lingtian ignored it and turned to look at the group of Wanxingmen disciples who were still lying on the ground.
"Are you still alive?"
"Senior... no, Your Majesty the Nine Heavens Emperor!"
The middle-aged cultivator struggled to his feet and knelt down.
"Thank you so much for saving us. The entire Wanxing Sect is deeply grateful!"
"Alright, don't thank me."
I just conveniently solved a problem!
Ye Lingtian waved his hand.
"However, since I saved you, you have to pay a price!"
"Your Majesty, please speak freely! As long as our Myriad Stars Sect can do it, we will do our utmost!"
The middle-aged cultivator quickly expressed his opinion.
"There aren't any special requirements!"
Ye Lingtian said calmly.
"Give me all the records in your sect about extraterrestrial demons. I want to see where these guys came from!"
"Yes, yes, yes! We will definitely present all the books!"
The middle-aged cultivator said excitedly.
"That's good!"
Ye Lingtian nodded, then turned and left.
"Master, where should we go next? Don't you think this place is a bit boring?"
Little Fire followed Ye Lingtian around excitedly.
"Bored? Then go find something fun!"
Ye Lingtian said calmly.
"Oh, Master, I was just saying it offhand, don't mind it!"
Xiao Huo quickly shook his head.
"However, do you think the Myriad Stars Sect could possibly have anything useful?"
Whether it's useful or not depends on how well they hide!
Ye Lingtian waved his hand casually, and Xiao Huo's mouth immediately shut up.
"Your Majesty, the Heavenly Emperor of the Nine Heavens, please wait!"
Behind him, the middle-aged cultivator scrambled to catch up, his face pale and covered in sweat, looking even more disheveled than before.
