Chapter 145 Annihilation

In the instant the shadow fell, the aura of death almost solidified into reality.

The massive bone hammer, formed by the fusion of several twisted arms, carrying enough power to shatter rocks and billowing black mist, tore through the air and crashed down with a piercing shriek!

Linde's hair stood on end, and his golden-level neural reaction speed was pushed to its limit.

He didn't have time to think; his body reacted instantly thanks to the explosive power granted by the activation aura.

He slammed his feet against the ground, and his body shot out to the side and backward like an arrow shot from a powerful bow!

Boom!!!

The massive bone hammer slammed down on the spot where Lind had been just moments before.

The earth cracked and collapsed like a fragile eggshell, forming a deep pit several meters in diameter.

A violent shockwave, carrying debris and thick black mist, exploded in a ring, sending several silver-lance knights who couldn't dodge in time flying, their armor twisted and deformed.

Although Linde narrowly avoided the direct impact, the aftershocks of the shockwave still slammed into his magic armor, producing a teeth-grinding scraping sound.

He rolled around on the ground several times to dissipate the force, his armor covered in dust.

The aggregate missed its target, and several black flame eyes instantly locked onto the tumbling Lind, letting out angry roars.

It raised its bone hammer, its massive body displaying terrifying speed disproportionate to its size, and was about to pounce on Lind again, determined to crush this annoying "bug" completely.

At this critical moment!

"Don't even think about it! Monster!!"

A roar filled with resolute determination exploded like thunder.

Covered in blood and with his fighting spirit dimmed, Jeffrey, like a moth drawn to a flame, bravely stood between the aggregate and Lind!

The spear he had picked up on the spot was already pitted and corroded by the black mist, but now it was infused with his own energy and burst out with a brilliant azure light!

Holy Spirit! Protect me!

Jeffrey used his spear as a pole vault, leaping into the air. The spear tip gleamed with a desperate light as he stabbed fiercely at the massive black flame eye on the most grotesque main head of the aggregate, which was composed of multiple fused heads!

"Pfft!"

The spear tip pierced precisely into the burning black flames! The power of the light veins clashed violently with the shadowy black mist, producing a piercing sizzling sound and an explosion of annihilation! The black flames retaliated fiercely, instantly spreading upwards along the spear shaft!

"Ugh—!"

Jeffrey let out a painful groan as the armor on his arm rapidly turned gray and cracked under the corrosive influence of the black mist. But he gritted his teeth, bracing himself against the spear, pressing down with all his weight and battle aura, like a nail, forcefully halting the massive charge of the aggregate!

Now!

Linde's eyes flashed with a sharp light, without the slightest hesitation.

His left hand darted into the mage's sleeve with lightning speed—there, lying quietly, was the crystal javelin he had stored away beforehand!

This murder weapon, crafted from crystal remains, is his last trump card!

"Jeffrey! Get out of the way!"

Linde roared, and all his strength surged into his right arm like a burst dam. His gold-level arm strength was poured without reservation into the crystal javelin!

Buzz—!

The detonation magic, pre-mapped onto the javelin, lit up with its own color.

Linde's legs suddenly exerted force, cracking the ground! He became like a human catapult, concentrating all his strength, speed, and pure killing intent towards the monster into this thunderous throw!

"Die!!!"

Whoosh—!

The crystalline javelin transformed into a ghostly blue meteor that seemed capable of tearing through space! Its speed even surpassed that of sound!

The aggregate seemed to sense a deadly threat. Its several black flame eyes suddenly turned towards the direction from which the eerie blue light was coming, and it let out a roar that was a mixture of terror and rage.

It frantically tried to swing its bone hammer to block and to condense a shield with black mist, but Jeffrey's desperate act of pinning its head down not only restricted its movements but also created a tiny, light-dark conflicting "weak point" in its strongest part of its head!

*Pfft!*

There was no earth-shattering explosion, only a muffled thud that sent chills down your spine, as if piercing through rotten wood and water sacs!

The pale blue meteor pierced through the thin black mist shield hastily formed on the head of the aggregate without any hindrance, and precisely penetrated the largest black flame eye that Jeffrey's spear had pierced!

Time seemed to freeze at that moment.

The massive aggregate suddenly stiffened, and all its wildly waving arms instantly stopped.

Its pierced eye, the black flames quickly dimmed and went out like a candle being extinguished, and in its place, dark blue cracks symbolizing magic spread rapidly from the piercing wound like a spider web!

“Woo... Roar…” The aggregate emitted an unintelligible, whimpering sound, like a leaking bellows.

Its massive body began to convulse and tremble violently. A surging torrent of magic burst forth from within its head, clashing and annihilating with the black mist emanating from all parts of its body!

*Sizzle sizzle sizzle—!!!*

The black mist dissipated in large swathes under the powerful magical turbulence, like ice and snow melting away.

The aggregate, its body forcibly pieced together from shadows and debris, was shattered as turbulent currents continued to surge forth.

Crystal spikes formed by the crystal reaction continuously emerged and pierced its body.

Finally, a dull, loud bang was heard.

The massive aggregate could no longer hold on and collapsed like a sand sculpture that had been toppled!

The black substance that makes up its body melts and vaporizes rapidly under the combined effects of the magical surge and the power of the light veins, just like ice and snow exposed to the sun, turning into wisps of black smoke that rise up.

It eventually dissipated completely into the air, leaving behind only a devastated and scorched earth.

All that remained was a pile of crystal fragments.

The battlefield fell into a deathly silence.

Linde knelt on one knee, panting heavily.

As he watched the dissipating black smoke, he felt a mixture of lingering fear and relief.

He looked up and gazed at Greenburg, which still stood in the distance but whose defenders were clearly in a state of panic.

"Greenburg, it's time for it to change hands!"

Lind's voice carried an undeniable resolve; though weary, the flame of victory burned in his eyes. The destruction of the Shadow Abyss Aggregate had utterly shattered the Sassians' last hope.

…………

"Ah! Ah!! Ah!!!"

From within a dark underground ruin, a heart-wrenching sound echoed.

"My lord, we've lost contact with Shadow Abyss's attendants..."

"Useless! A bunch of useless trash!"

A figure dressed in black robes roared angrily, his dark magic surging wildly, shattering all the stone tables and chairs around him.

"Even the Shadow Abyss Aggregate could be defeated. Could the Kree have truly received divine assistance?"

The man in black robes took a deep breath, trying to calm himself, then, as if remembering something, shouted:

"Someone, bring Valeria here, something big has happened."
