Chapter 86 Magic

"First, recall some of the soldiers who were building the houses to strengthen the defense of the entire territory and build up the camp defenses around the village."

"As for the cult stronghold, I have a way to deal with it. Let's go to Alice's place now."

"Yes, sir."

…………

Soon, the two arrived at the door of Alice's cottage.

The temporary hut from last time has disappeared, leaving only a faint trace in its place.

The original house was also slightly taller than before. Linde couldn't help but think to himself, "If I gave Alice more time, would she build it even taller and taller?"

With a bellyful of thoughts, Lind knocked on Alice's door.

"Thump, thump, thump."

A surprised sound came from inside the house:

"Who is it? Lind?"

"It's me, I have something urgent to discuss."

As the door slowly opened, Alice, dressed in a strange outfit, was revealed.

Today, Alice is wearing a very form-fitting aristocratic outfit, the prints and embroidery of which are almost unrecognizable to Linde.

The strangest thing is that, on top of that, Alice put on a thick apron.

Seeing that the visitors were Lind and Astaire, Alice invited them into the workshop and said:

"Wait for me a moment, just a little while."

Alice walked to a furnace that glowed with blue light and used magic to take something out of the flames.

It was a strange metal component. Although it looked odd, Lind recognized it at a glance as a component from the replica core.

After the component was wrapped in water to cool it down, the entire workshop was filled with a light mist of water vapor.

But it was quickly emptied by a ventilation vent, which was of unknown origin.

"alright."

After drying the parts and placing them in the parts box, Alice took off her thick apron and sat down beside the two of them.

He then picked up the water glass on the table, drank it all in a few gulps, and then asked with a very serious expression:

"The fact that you two came together means something big must have happened in the territory. Tell me what it is."

Lin Deqing cleared his throat and explained the whole story to Alice.

Like Lind, Alice frowned ever since she heard about the underground cult town.

After discussing cult priests, Alice exclaimed in disbelief:

"A cult priest? Here? Are you kidding me!"

He then began to think deeply about it.

Seeing Alice deep in thought, Lind didn't disturb her. Instead, he picked up the water glass on the table and took a small sip.

Astaire, who was watching this scene, was very anxious, but dared not say anything for fear of interrupting Alice's thoughts.

After an eerie silence, Alice looked at Lind and asked a question:

"Can you... get more crystal remains?"

Linde laughed. It seemed that the genius girl in front of him had the same idea as him.

Seeing Lind's smile, Alice felt relieved. Her lord had always possessed extraordinary abilities and ideas, which put her at ease.

The scene then became Alice and Lind laughing eerily, while Astaire, standing to the side, seemed like an outsider, looking utterly bewildered.

After laughing, Linde told the two men about his ability to mass-produce crystal skeletons, since the two men present were his most trusted confidants.

After learning that there was an unlimited supply of crystal remains, the two had different expressions.

Alice appeared much calmer, perhaps because she had already mentally distinguished Linde from ordinary people, and she wouldn't be surprised if Linde caused any more trouble.

Astaire, however, was quite unsettled. He had witnessed the power of the Crystal Bone Dragon Breath Cannon and knew its destructive potential; he looked utterly astonished.

So Linde began to explain his rough outline of the plan to the two of them.

"I plan to first produce a massive amount of crystalline remains, and then the three of us will find a way to place these crystalline remains on the mountain where the cult town is located."

Finally, these crystalline remains will be detonated through some means. With their power, they could level the entire mountain, and might even kill the cult priest instantly.

"Even if they weren't killed, we can definitely retreat without any problem. This blow will definitely be enough to severely damage these cultists."

"Not to mention the support from Leonis's Sanctuary behind them..."

Lind had some thoughts on the matter of the Sanctuary's support. Although Leonis had promised him that the Sanctuary's support would arrive immediately once she reached it.

But... how can I get there immediately?

Keep in mind that the sanctuary in the central region is at least three or four days' journey from here, and that's with a single rider on two horses at a fast pace.

Linde's imagination ran wild. Surely it couldn't be some powerful aerial expert who just flew in... at least he'd never heard of such a thing.

Anyway, let's just trust her for now. Even without support, once Linde learns of the existence of these cultists, he will find a way to eliminate them directly.

After listening to Lind's plan, Alice asked the first question:

"Linde, do you have a way to quickly detonate those crystalline remains?"

Linde replied:

"Yes, there is, but we'll need your help."

Linde did indeed know how to quickly detonate the crystal skeleton. He had previously used the Deconstruction Aura to examine its properties, and it was virtually impossible to detonate it using purely physical means.

To detonate the crystal remains, you must use magic, specifically the kind of chaotic magic that is generated when a spell is interrupted.

Only in this way can the crystal skeleton be detonated most directly and quickly.

"I need you to leave one familiar at each detonation point, and then use the spell interruption operation to use these familiars as detonation points to generate chaotic magic..."

As Lind explained the detonation process to Alice, his eyes widened, and finally, he only managed to utter one sentence:

"Linde, you are a genius. The God of Magic made the perfect choice to select you as the Oracle."

Astaire, standing nearby, also raised his own question:

"My lord, how are we going to transport so many crystal remains?"

"Good question."

"There are two options now. One is to use Alice's mage sleeve to smuggle them out, but considering the amount that can be carried, it may take several trips."

"Another option is for me to go to the scene and create the explosion on-site."

Alice stroked her chin thoughtfully:

“If we were to create it on-site, the time would be tight, and it would be easy to be discovered. Although using my magic sleeve technique involves more repetitions, it is relatively safer.”

Aster nodded in agreement. Lind thought for a moment and said:

"Then let's use the mage's sleeve to transport some of the crystal fragments over first, and then I'll create the rest on-site. This two-pronged approach will ensure the quantity while reducing the risk."

Alice patted her chest:

"Leave the matter of the mage moving the crystal body to me."

Astaire also volunteered:

"Sir, I can take charge of guarding and protecting the goods during the transport."

Linde nodded in satisfaction:

"Okay, it's settled then. Next, we need to prepare as soon as possible. Following Leonis's instructions, we can get there in half a day if we're quick."

"After all, time waits for no one. We don't know when these cultists will go crazy. By the time they do, it will be too late."
