The author's notes contain a rough map of the novel; you can take a look.

Race settings

(The author referenced many settings from Western fantasy and Japanese Western fantasy, so it may look a bit mixed. However, the general direction of each race is not much different. The orcs here are similar to catgirls, not the powerful beastmen like in World of Warcraft. However, the minotaurs, orcs, and gnolls are in line with the settings of Japanese Western fantasy.)

Humans

Most human bodies cannot use magic, but their basic physical abilities are about 30% stronger than those in the real world.

There are humans with bloodlines from other races, some with thin lines and some with mixed blood. Most of these people with traces of other races in their bloodlines can learn or comprehend some of the magic or skills of their corresponding race, which is to say, they are warlocks. There are also some people who are naturally adapted to magic when they are pure-blooded, thus creating the profession of mage.

The remaining humans will mostly become basic physical professions such as warriors, hunters, and thieves. Humans are not reproductively isolated from most other species, have strong survival ability, flexible thinking, an average lifespan of about 60 years, limited technology, large population, multiple religions, multiple countries, and frequent wars.

dwarf

Unlike human hybrids, dwarves are a distinct race with a base physical strength approximately 80% greater than that of humans in the real world.

They are very heavy, highly resistant to blows, and short, generally a little over half the height of a human. They have a natural resistance to toxins and fire, have thick beards, like metal products, enjoy human-brewed spirits, and worship the god of metal and forging. Forging magic can enchant equipment, generating powerful strength.

Dwarves are not good at growing crops, but they can grow a kind of metal-like crop with a very high hardness that most other races cannot eat. They have superb metal smelting technology, and most powerful metal products are made by dwarves. Their technological level is basically on par with humans, and their lifespan is slightly longer than that of humans, around 70 to 80 years. Their population is of medium size, with a single country, multiple factions, and relatively little internal strife.

elves

An elegant and beautiful race (according to humans), they worship the god of nature, live in harmony with nature, and use powerful natural magic to develop and protect themselves. Their physical strength is about 30% stronger than that of humans in the real world.

They have long lifespans, with a natural lifespan of around 300 years. Their bodies have a self-healing ability that is about 80% faster than that of humans in the normal world. They are highly adaptable to natural magic, and everyone can perform even the most basic natural communication. They also possess advanced planting and breeding techniques.

However, due to their beliefs and personal reasons, they prefer to live in the forest. The physical appearance and customs of elves vary slightly in forests with different climates. Elves are natural scouts and rangers with excellent eyesight, seeing as clearly as day at night. Their technological level is slightly lower than that of humans, and their population is smaller.

Orcs

A race that is half-human and half-beast, with some beast-like features on a human skeleton, most of them worship beast gods, and most beastmen are about 30% stronger than humans in the real world.

The main ethnic groups are cat people, rabbit people, winged people, dog people, fox people, minotaur people, pig people, and jackal people. Each group is organized into a main ethnic group and a smaller tribe. They have established an orc alliance, a feudal alliance with cats, rabbits, winged people, dogs, and foxes as high-ranking orcs and minos, pigs, jackals, etc. as low-ranking orcs. The main social structure is a loose chieftain system, with the five high-ranking orc groups discussing matters together.

The orc race is numerous and distributed throughout the world (based on a map). Different races have their own unique characteristics. For example, the winged people have feathered wings and are born with the ability to fly. Their lifespan is comparable to that of humans, with little difference.

Their overall technological level is relatively backward, their population is large, and their faith is weak. However, they possess some berserk skills that suit their race, and the number of people who learn magic is not large.

Mermaid

Living on an island far from the mainland, the mainland races know very little about them, only occasionally seeing them. This world is vast, and shipbuilding technology only extends to the near seas; ocean voyages have not yet appeared. There is only one legend about merfolk, who live near a large island, have human bodies and fish tails, swim extremely fast, and seem to have signs of civilization, but their level of technology and lifespan are unknown.

Historical setting

Evolution of human states

The once glorious empire of the Eastern Continent was torn apart into three countries due to the conflict between papal and imperial power. The Pope established the Diocese of Bode, also known as the Papacy.

The Glorious Royal Family established the Got Empire, which was located in the southwest of the Theocracy. Meanwhile, the original Grand Duke of Oak raised his own banner and established the Grand Duchy. Over the course of two hundred years, the Grand Duchy discovered a sea route across the Hurricane Sea by chance and sailed across the ocean to the western continent on the other side of the continent.

The discovery of a human empire in the western continent, the Sass Empire, revealed that within 100 years of the Grand Duchy's arrival, it had seized a large amount of the Sass Empire's coastal lands, causing internal strife within the Sass Empire. Meanwhile, Grand Duke Kree in the north unified the northern borders and established the Kree Empire.

Years later, a tripartite balance of power was formed between the Sass Empire, the Principality of Ork, and the Cree Empire. In the last century, the current Grand Duke of Cree led his army south, annexing a large amount of land in the Sass Empire. He advanced with unstoppable momentum, reaching the fortified city of Gross in the Sass Empire.

After breaching the Fortified City using Legionary Magic (questionable), the Sass Empire royal family signed a truce with Grand Duke Kree, ceding vast tracts of undeveloped land behind Fortified Mountain, thus establishing the current human nation-state structure. (Specific historical settings for other races will be revealed in later volumes; they are not important now.)

The author included a world situation map to make things clearer for everyone.
