Chapter Thirty-Seven: What She Wanted Was Respect and Equality
His words lingered on Wen Jinye's lips, a sudden surge of gloom in his eyes, "Wen Jinye, do you really think I've always indulged you?"
Wen Jin was also restrained and unable to struggle, so he could only let him kiss her haphazardly, almost as if he was venting his anger.
In Fu Yanjing's memory, all the education he received from childhood to adulthood was elite education, and all his development was planned by his family.
Born with a silver spoon in his mouth, the heir possessed mountains of gold and silver and countless riches from the moment he was born, and no one ever disobeyed him.
Everything was under control, without any deviation.
But then Wen Jin came along.
For three years, she played the role of a well-behaved woman to the extreme, making him infatuated and then turning away gracefully.
When they met again, he discovered that her true personality was far beyond his imagination.
Beneath its soft, white fur lies a wild cat that's always ready to pounce with its claws—it's incredibly annoying.
Wen Jin's sobs were swallowed between her lips and teeth.
A drop of moisture slid down the tip of his nose.
These are Wen Jinye's tears.
Fu Yanjing seemed to have been burned in an instant.
Looking at her tear-filled eyes, her emotions shattered in her wet gaze, I said, "Fu Yanjing, you will never understand respect and equality."
Her sorrowful appearance was as if being kissed by Fu Yanjing was some kind of great humiliation.
Fu Yanjing inexplicably felt a tightness in his chest.
Six months after the breakup, Wen Jin's ability to annoy people has increased dramatically. In the past, when she was being affectionate with him, her eyes would show a cautious look.
"You enjoyed those three years immensely, but now you feel so superior."
Many insignificant faces inexplicably flashed through his mind.
Meng Qinghe's, Song Zaizhen's, and Wen Jin also faced all sorts of CEOs Wang, Zhang, and Pang with charming smiles...
She can smile at anyone, but when it comes to him, she's arrogant and only shows a cold shoulder.
Thinking of this, a haughty smile curved his lips. His tone was slow, but it made Wen Jin's eardrums ring: "Or are you keeping yourself chaste for someone else?"
Wen Jin was trembling all over, even her voice was shaking at the end, "Fu Yanjing, you bastard!"
"In your eyes, am I always just a pet that you can summon and dismiss at will? You beckon me, and I'm supposed to happily rub against you?"
Tears streamed down her face like pearls falling from a broken string. "Why are you humiliating me like this?"
Why, when he clearly has someone else in his heart, why has he never even looked at her properly, yet still insists on provoking her again?
Fu Yanjing had already regained his haughty and aloof demeanor.
His slow, deliberate tone suggested he didn't understand Wen Jinye's sudden breakdown, "What a terrible crime."
"If I kiss you twice, it becomes an insult to you. Those three years must have been really tough for you, enduring humiliation and hardship."
His cold gaze swept across Wen Jinye's face, his Cantonese accent casual, his condescending attitude like that of someone looking at a disobedient pet.
"I treated you well back then, didn't I, Wen Jinye? You hold such a grudge against me; have you no conscience?"
Wen Jin didn't respond, feeling utterly exhausted. She pursed her lips, tears welling in her eyes, and silently confronted him.
The air pressure dropped to freezing point.
Fu Yanjing suddenly smiled, but there was no warmth in his shimmering peach blossom eyes.
He calmly issued his final ultimatum, "Wen Jinye, don't ever come near me again."
The tense atmosphere was broken by a rapid, loud knocking.
Xu Xiangbai shouted frantically outside the door:
"Brother Jing, holy crap! Open the door now! I almost lost my innocence!"
"I can't take it anymore! Who the hell shoved Zhang Yan's sister into my room?!"
The vibration from the knocking sent shivers down Wen Jinye's spine. She tried her best to keep her voice calm and composed. "Don't worry, I'll just take a detour when I see Mr. Fu in the future."
After saying that, she didn't look at Fu Yanjing's face again, and ran out of the room.
Her steps were hurried, and she almost bumped into Xu Xiangbai, who was trying to rush in.
In the chaos of the whole affair, Xu Xiangbai didn't even get a clear look at Wen Jinye's face; the sense of familiarity that welled up from seeing his back was overwhelmed by shock.
"What's going on? There's a woman in your room too?"
Xu Xiangbai slapped his forehead, his face ashen. "It's over. We brothers have been set up. Brother Jing, what are you planning to do..."
But as he was speaking, he suddenly stopped.
His gaze fell on Fu Yanjing's luscious lips, and his pupils dilated instantly.
"You've been defiled!!"
Then, belatedly, I realized what had happened.
If Fu Yanjing doesn't want to, who can get close to him?
Unless he is truly willing.
This is truly a case of the sun rising in the west.
At this moment, Xu Xiangbai had long forgotten about Zhang Yan's sister still being in his bed. His mind was filled with curiosity and surprise, and he regretted not having looked at the woman more closely earlier.
He craned his neck to look in the direction Wen Jinye had left, but she had already entered the elevator.
Xu Xiangbai was incredibly curious and wanted to get to the bottom of it. "A-Jing, whose little darling is she? How did she catch your eye?"
Fu Yanjing's cold face remained expressionless as he answered irrelevantly, "Are you staring at that spot looking for a ghost? The person is long gone."
Xu Xiangbai crossed his arms. "Don't scare people so late at night. I'll definitely find a master to perform a ritual tomorrow. But the fact that a woman appeared in my bed in the middle of the night is scarier than a ghost."
He paused, then added, "It's quite unbelievable that a woman appeared in your room. If that woman hadn't run out and bumped into me, I would have thought I was crazy, just imagining things."
Fu Yanjing didn't reply, but went to the bedside table and lit a cigarette.
The moment the firelight appeared, Fu Yanjing had an inexplicable thought.
Xu Xiangbai didn't know if he was crazy or not, but he felt that he probably was.
Why can't I stand her?
It shines brightly on others.

At this moment, as the charity gala was drawing to a close, Lin Zhiying finally found He Jiayu.
She was surrounded by several staff members as she prepared to leave.
Outside the banquet, there are likely to be sasaeng fans or extremely enthusiastic fans waiting. Given He Jiayu's status, being protected by layers of people and keeping others at arm's length is already the norm.
Lin Zhiying ran over, but was pushed away. "Tonight is Miss He's private schedule. No autographs or photos."
He Jiayu didn't even glance at her.
Lin Zhiying cried out anxiously, "Miss He, Miss He! Do you remember me? I'm your fan!"
He Jiayu has little patience. There are plenty of people who admire her, so why would she care about an ordinary person?
"It's so noisy."
The staff member, sensing the situation, came over and tried to forcibly drag Lin Zhiying away. Lin Zhiying, in a panic, grabbed the staff member's arm tightly and shouted at He Jiayu, "Miss He, it's okay if you don't remember me, but do you remember Wen Jinye? Miss He, Wen Jinye is seducing Mr. Fu!"
This sentence successfully made He Jiayu stop in her tracks.
She took off her sunglasses, looked around to make sure no one was watching, and then lowered her voice, "Tell me more?"
