Chapter 124: Are You Coming to My Concert?

There's a barbecue stall on the outskirts of the city that's been around for over twenty years and has always had a great reputation. Xiaoyin has loved eating there since college, so they eventually decided to set up shop there.

Wen Jin and Xiao Yin had just sat down for a short while when An Yu arrived in her pink BMW.

Wearing exquisite new luxury brand clothing and carrying an LV bag worth tens of thousands of yuan, she looked completely out of place at the simple outdoor tables and chairs and the smoky barbecue stall.

Thinking of the expensive bag An Yu had given her last time, Xiao Yin felt a little guilty. "I'm sorry, Sister An Yu. It's just that the holiday is special, and tonight's invitation was a last-minute decision. I'll treat you to something even better next time."

An Yu's eyes lit up.

He sat down next to Wen Jinye with an air of returning home in triumph, instantly forgetting all the instructions his agent had given him.

The entire Consort Xi returned to the palace, declaring, "This time, I'm going to get back all the heavy oil and salt I've lost!"

Xiao Yin enthusiastically recommended the restaurant, saying, "I've been to this place many times! It was my favorite place in college, and it won over the stomachs of my entire dorm."

Three menus were placed in front of them. An Yu pushed them aside and said, "You guys order first. I'm a little nervous about going back home, so I'll familiarize myself with the names of the dishes on the menu first."

Wen Jin also gave Xiao Yin full authority to order the food.

Xiao Yin didn't have any reservations; she knew exactly what was good at this restaurant even with her eyes closed.

She waved her hand and said, "Boss, give me twenty skewers of grilled fish tofu, ten skewers of grilled meatballs, and ten skewers of grilled sausage..."

Wen Jin was also stunned, "Why are they all tech pills?"

Xiao Yin chuckled, "If I don't consume more technology, how can I do anything truly impressive?"

After finally finishing her laugh, she cleared her throat. "Alright then, I'll have another thirty skewers of lamb. That's not some kind of high-tech stuff, is it?"

An Yu once starred in a movie where she had a special guest appearance as a fluffy white alpaca, who was incredibly cute.

Upon hearing this, she instantly pictured the alpaca that loved to spit saliva; though it was nasty, it was undeniably beautiful.

"Sheep are so cute, how can you eat sheep?"

Xiao Yin was confused. "Is it cute? When I was a kid in the village, my neighbor raised sheep. One day after school, he was herding sheep and we bumped into each other. I was gored by a crazy ram and flew away!"

She asserted confidently, "Besides, this isn't lamb skewers, it's Pleasant Goat doing a pole dance."

This was the first time Wen Jin had heard this explanation.

I laughed so hard I choked on my water.

The meal began with a few jokes, and the owner brought over two cases of beer. The three of them clinked glasses, and An Yu said, "Let's drink until we drop! Nobody's allowed to run away!"

But halfway through the meal, Xiao Yin started acting strangely.

She kept drinking and, emboldened by the alcohol, told Wen Jinye that she and her boyfriend had been having a cold war for several days.

"Even now, he still thinks it was my fault that we beat up Qin Zheng that night, and that I, a young girl, was restless and caused trouble in an unfamiliar city."

"But, putting aside the fact that Qin Zheng is a scumbag, is it our fault that he insulted us while drunk?"

After all, it was someone else's private matter. Although An Yu was passionate when she scolded Fu Yanjing, she was not that close to Xiao Yin, so there were many things she couldn't say.

All I could do was sit beside Wen Jinye, acting as a qualified comforter and listener.

Xiao Yin seemed to only complain a couple of times before moving on to other topics.

Until the floor was covered with empty wine bottles.

Alcohol consumed.

An Yu's lucidity vanished, and she suddenly slammed her hand on the table.

"What a jerk! Does right and wrong really matter? Isn't it enough that you're happy and safe? You've suffered too, haven't you? He doesn't care if you're traumatized; instead, he just keeps blaming you. And he thinks he can be your lifelong support? Bullshit!"

Xiao Yin sat on the chair, swaying back and forth, before finally burying her head on the table.

Wen Jin wasn't much better off than the other two. Her hands supporting her chin, her eyes glazed, and after a long pause, she mumbled, "What are you babbling about? Drinking!"

In the end, the three urban beauties turned into three drunkards.

And surprisingly, none of the three of them were good drinkers.

Xiao Yin and An Yu were fighting over an empty wine bottle, each vying to sing, "Where have all the good men gone, where have they all gone..."

Wen Jin was happily directing the air.

When Xiaoyin's boyfriend arrived, this was the scene that caused the world to collapse.

He was somewhat bewildered and came over to pull Xiaoyin, "How did you get so drunk? What time is it? If I didn't have my phone's GPS..."

"Smack."

Xiao Yin slapped the man across the face weakly, saying, "Don't talk to me like that."

Xiaoyin's boyfriend's forehead vein throbbed, and he finally took a deep breath in resignation, "Okay, okay, I won't say anything more. Can we go home? Let's make up and stop this cold war."

Perhaps feeling truly at ease, Xiao Yin fell into her boyfriend's arms and drifted off to sleep in just half a minute.

Xiaoyin's boyfriend looked at the two remaining women and felt a bit awkward.

He couldn't help but question his life when he saw Wen Jinye.

He was both assaulting someone and drunk.

Is Xiaoyin's bias towards her too strong? Is this the same person who went there on the day he moved?

He suddenly remembered that he had added Meng Qinghe's contact information back then.

Wen Jin was really drunk.

As the evening breeze blew and the alcohol hit her, by the time she realized what was happening, it was too late.

I was in a good mood tonight and had so much to talk about with An Yu. Plus, Xiao Yin was full of witty remarks, and we ended up chatting and laughing until there were empty wine bottles all around us.

Amidst An Yu and Xiao Yin's wailing and howling, Wen Jin seemed to be waving his hands happily, but in reality, his mind was completely chaotic, and his every move seemed to be out of control, driven only by the most primal instincts.

The music abruptly interrupted this unbridled frenzy.

Wen Jin was also stunned for a moment, blinking slowly for a long time before realizing it was a cell phone ringing.

A long string of phone ringtones was playing on the screen, but her mind was completely blank, and she couldn't figure out who would be calling her so late.

She answered slowly, a silly smile playing on her lips for no apparent reason. She rested her chin on her hand; the alcohol had numbed her senses, making her tongue stumble and her words slurred and soft. "Hello? Hello?"

She didn't give the other person a chance to speak at all, asking, "Do you want to come to our concert?"

Fu Yanjing's brow twitched instantly.

The man's dark eyes reflected the myriad lights of Jiangbei. He asked in a low voice, "Where are you?"

But Wen Jin on the other end of the phone could only chuckle foolishly.

Fu Yanjing rubbed his temples and changed his approach: "Where should we go to attend your concert?"
