Chapter 125
Pei Yanhe woke up early the next morning.
Shen Yizhi was still asleep, but she always felt that someone was tangling the ends of her hair, loosening and tangling it, which made her feel itchy.
She covered her head in a daze.
But I heard a light laugh above my head.
"Still sleeping?"
It took half a minute to react.
Shen Yizhi suddenly opened his eyes and raised his head, but he raised it too quickly and almost twisted his neck.
She tilted her head to one side, cried out in pain, and her face wrinkled up.
Pei Yanhe reached out to rub the back of her neck, frowned, and asked, "Why did you sleep on the edge of the bed last night?"
It was still the familiar force, and the pain was quickly relieved. Shen Yizhi enjoyed it as it should be, and grumbled aggrievedly.
"It's because you kept pulling my wrist."
She originally planned to sleep in the accompanying chair next to him, but he held her tightly, and it was impossible to pry him apart, so she had to sleep at the head of the bed.
I couldn't help but mutter, "Even when I fell asleep, I still remembered to pull my hand to give me a massage. You are really competent."
Pei Yanhe was leaning against the bed, naturally taller than her. He glanced down at her and asked, "What are you whispering about me again?"
"Nothing." Shen Yizhi felt that his neck was not so sore anymore. He tried to turn it around to make sure there was nothing wrong. He looked at Pei Yanhe directly and said solemnly.
"Are you feeling unwell?"
Pei Yanhe crossed his arms over his chest, with an inexplicable smile on his lips, and shook his head slowly.
It's still raining outside, but it's much lighter than yesterday, and it's been a continuous rain.
Shen Yizhi glanced out the window, "It's raining, do you want to draw the curtains?"
After saying that, she stood up and walked to the window.
Pei Yanhe grabbed her wrist and said calmly, "No need. It seems like there won't be any reaction if you're here."
Shen Yizhi sat back down, not understanding the meaning of his words, "Why?"
Does post-traumatic stress disorder vary depending on the situation?
Pei Yanhe lowered his eyes, "Perhaps it was you who brought me out of that damp rainy season when I was ten years old."
After that, every day in his world was filled with bright sunny days as long as she was there.
Shen Yizhi blinked and said seriously: “But the doctor said that it is difficult to cure your condition.”
Pei Yanhe didn't care: "Then he must be a quack."
Shen Yizhi: “…”
At least the doctor is very professional and protects your privacy.
Shen Yizhi wanted to say something else, but Pei Yanhe interrupted her.
"Since you have nothing to do, go wash up and prepare for breakfast."
He is running away.
This was Shen Yizhi’s first reaction.
-
The people who delivered the food were none other than Chen Jinyang and Shang Kuoheng.
Two people each carried a large bag of things and put it on the dining table. The plastic take-out boxes soon filled the entire long table.
Pei Yanhe had just finished washing and walked out of the ward bathroom. He walked up to me while wiping his half-dry hair and said suddenly.
"Unscrupulous merchants setting up stalls? There are so many of them."
Chen Jinyang: “…”
Shang Kuoheng: “…”
They both came all the way here to pack the food for him, and all they got was this from him.
Chen Jinyang rolled his eyes at him, then turned to Shen Yizhi and said, "Zhi, you eat it, don't leave any for him."
Shen Yizhi swallowed her saliva. Even if she had ten stomachs, she couldn't eat such a large table of food.
Pei Yanhe sat down next to Shen Yizhi and picked up the chopsticks. “Even if she is a pig, she can’t eat so much.”
“…”
Shen Yizhi glared at him, "You are the pig."
Still not satisfied, she snatched the chopsticks from his hand and began to randomly choose breakfast with great interest.
Pei Yanhe took out another pair without any hesitation, and he couldn't hide the doting smile on his face.
Seeing two familiar acquaintances falling in love, Chen Jinyang got goosebumps all over his body and couldn't help rubbing his arms.
It's such a weird feeling.
Shang Kuoheng, on the other side, seemed much calmer. He sat down on the single sofa and asked Pei Yanhe, "When do you plan to be discharged from the hospital?"
There was a sound of dripping rain outside the window.
Pei Yanhe didn't even raise his head, "Wait until the rain stops."
Shen Yizhi paused while holding the crystal dumplings.
Shang Kuoheng and Chen Jinyang also looked at each other in confusion.
The four of them have been together for more than 20 years, so they have a general idea of what they should and shouldn't know.
The air suddenly became quiet.
No one asked the reason tacitly.
But she couldn't help but worry and kept looking at him.
Three burning gazes, like a symphony, crossed and passed over.
They didn't say a word, but they seemed to be arguing a lot.
Pei Yanhe put down his chopsticks, leaned back, glanced around at them, and said calmly, "What do you want to ask?"
Chen Jinyang and Shang Kuoheng were very tactful and did not say anything, while shifting their gaze to Shen Yizhi.
Shen Yizhi understood, and just said calmly: "You guys ask."
She hadn't figured out what to ask, or rather, she hadn't figured out how to guide Pei Yanhe out of this.
When she was ten years old, she managed to get him out by chattering, but she only managed to get half of him out. To get him out completely, she had to find out the reason.
Chen Jinyang leaned against the bed, stared at Pei Yanhe and asked, "Have you been receiving psychological treatment all these years?"
Pei Yanhe hummed, without revealing any emotion.
Shang Kuoheng frowned: "No effect?"
Pei Yanhe lowered his eyes and pursed his thin lips: "Even if it works, I won't be here."
That's true.
The three fell silent again.
They only knew that Pei Yanhe first became afraid of rainy days when he was ten years old, which was also the year Pei Yanhe's mother died.
But the specific reasons and what happened are still unknown.
Asking the person involved is like stabbing him in the wound.
So the three of them agreed to go back to their own homes and ask their own mothers.
-
Shen Yizhi found an excuse to leave the hospital and return to Mingjing Bay.
As soon as I entered the hospital, I saw Ms. Tan Huiya happily browsing her mobile phone with an uncontrollable smile on her lips.
"Mommy, what are you looking at? You're smiling so happily." Shen Yizhi stepped forward and kissed her, holding her arm.
Tan Huiya showed her the page on her phone. "Your exhibition design is very well done. Many of my friends in the circle have come to praise you."
Shen Yizhi glanced at her casually and smiled, "Then don't you see whose daughter I am."
"You're the only one who can talk." Tan Huiya scratched her nose and suddenly wondered, "Why did you come back so early today? Are you done with the exhibition hall?"
They didn't know yet that Pei Yanhe was in the hospital.
Shen Yizhi didn’t intend to say it, and just said nonsense: “I feel at ease with Cheng Zhuhan in the exhibition hall.”
After a pause, she continued, "Mommy, I have something to ask you."
Tan Huiya put away her phone and looked at her gently: "Ask."
Shen Yizhi considered her words for a while before asking, "I want to know what Pei Yanhe experienced when he was ten years old?"
"Is it related to Aunt Wen's sudden death?"
