Although there was a slight accident in the morning, it wasn't a big problem, and Wenmo had calmed down by now.
After brushing her teeth, rinsing her mouth, and washing her face, Xia Lian stepped aside, holding her small toothbrush cup. She obediently walked over and began washing her face, squeezing out toothpaste and glancing sideways at Wen Mo.
"Wimmer, that's strange this morning."
"It's not surprising at all. Don't overthink it. Keep brushing your teeth."

Although she didn't know what had happened in the morning, she just listened to the instructions. After brushing her teeth and washing her face, Xia Lian patted her cheeks, seemingly feeling much more awake.
"I'm done washing."
After saying that, she slightly opened her mouth, revealing her white teeth, and at the same time, the taste of mint toothpaste came out of her mouth.
"Alright, that's enough after you've washed." Wen Mo placed his hand on Xia Lian's head. "Let's go change our clothes. It'll be almost noon soon, so let's eat out first and then buy clothes."
"Eating out."
"Yes, you can eat whatever you want later." Wen Mo smiled and escorted her back to her room.
They slept until almost noon, and since they hadn't eaten breakfast, their stomachs were empty. Before they even set off, they already felt a bit hungry.
It's a bit chilly today. The world outside the window has obviously just rained; it's damp and cold, and a gust of cold wind feels like a knife scraping your face.
Wenmo crossed his arms and rubbed them together, thinking he needed to wear something thicker today.
When I bought summer clothes for Xia Lian last time, I also bought a few autumn clothes. I even bought two different styles of white sweatshirts.
Once outside the room, Xia Lian was already sitting in the living room waiting. The thick sweatshirt offered some protection, but it was clearly not enough to keep her warm in today's weather.
"You're not dressed warmly enough. It'll be very cold outside today." Wen Mo frowned slightly, regretting that he should have bought her two coats last time.
The weather was just right a few days ago if you only wore a sweatshirt, but it's gotten colder today.
Before she could speak, Wen Mo ran to his room and rummaged through his closet. About a minute later, he came out with a loose coat.
"Take this and wear it." He said, helping to drape the clothes over Xia Lian's shoulders. The clothes were obviously a bit too long, but at least they could keep her warm.
Xia Lian looked smaller inside the clothes, and the way she flicked her sleeves was strangely cute.
“Very good, perfect.” Wen Mo stroked his chin, quite satisfied. “Let’s go change our shoes and then find a place to have lunch.”
At the entrance, Wen Mo changed his shoes first, but when he looked up, he found that the girl was still standing there, still wearing slippers.
Why didn't you change your shoes?
Xia Lian blinked and waved her sleeves.
Wen Mo was stunned for a moment, only then realizing that the sleeves of his clothes were too long, making it difficult for the girl to even reach out, let alone change her shoes or tie her shoelaces.
After thinking for a moment, he scratched his head and squatted down in front of Xia Lian.
"Okay, I'll help you put it on."
Taking a deep breath, Wen Mo was a little nervous, but he didn't know why he was nervous. He simply gestured for Xia Lian to lift her foot.
The next second, a small foot wearing a white sock was pulled out of the slipper, seemingly still a little warm. Wen Mo didn't dare to look any longer, held the soft little foot, put it back into the shoe, and quickly tied the shoelaces.
After putting on both shoes, Wen Mo stood up, looking somewhat embarrassed. It felt like an eternity had passed. It was the first time he had helped a girl change her shoes, and he felt inexplicably ashamed, but he didn't know why.
"Alright, let's go."
Wen Mo let out a long breath, shook his head to stop thinking about other things, and after composing himself, took out his keys to open the door.
“Yes, you can go. It’s a date.” Xia Lian nodded in agreement.
Pfft!
Startled, Wen Mo dropped the key in her hand, momentarily unable to process what she had just said.
"No, where did you hear the word 'dating'?"
Xia Lian looked puzzled, not understanding why Wen Mo's expression suddenly became so strange.
“Yin Tao told me.” She thought for a moment, then added, “Yin Tao and Qing Zhou are both on dates.”
However, every time Yin Tao mentioned going on a date with Qingzhou, Qingzhou would choke her with a knife.
Xia Lian didn't know why, but she did remember the word "date".
"Do you even know what dating means?" Wen Mo asked, rubbing his forehead in exasperation.
Xia Lian thought for a while and then shook her head.
"I have no idea."
"It's okay if you don't know. We're just going out to have fun, unlike Yin Tao and the others." Wen Mo took the opportunity to make up a few words, but in reality, even he himself didn't understand the scope of the word "date".
"Where is it different?"
"Well……"
Wen Mo was stunned; he didn't know how to answer.
So he simply skipped the topic and opened the door as if nothing had happened, figuring the girl would forget about it soon enough.
This floor houses four households. Because it is an old neighborhood, most of the residents are middle-aged or elderly people, with only a couple of young people occasionally seen.
As the cousins closed the door and were about to leave the stairwell, they heard the sound of a door opening behind them.
"Xiao Mo?"
When Wenmo heard his name called, he turned around and saw that his old acquaintance and neighbor, Sister Xu, seemed to be about to go out as well.
"Sister Xu?"
"Oh, it's been so long since I've seen you. I was planning to send some things to your house last time, but I couldn't find anyone." She walked over with a smile and patted Wen Mo on the back.
