Chapter 300 I've Found You (The End)

At noon, the sun was shining brightly.

Another summer vacation has arrived, and the temperature on the street is as torturous as ever.

A heavy footstep landed on the ground. Wen Mo took a deep breath, bent over slightly, and waved his hand to wipe the sweat from his face, only to hear the phone ringing in his pocket.

"Hey? Wenmo, are you really not planning to stay in the dorms next semester? Renting a place outside is expensive."

"No need, I mainly have reasons for needing to rent a place. Don't worry, my family has a little money." Wen Mo tilted his head, holding the phone between his fingers, and after saying a few words, he stretched and hung up the phone.

Holding the package he had just picked up, and gazing at the cloudless blue sky, Wen Mo quickened his pace home.

There were very few people in the neighborhood at noon; you could hardly see anyone. The apartment had only been rented recently; it was a place close to the school, and my dad readily agreed to rent it.

His steps were light, and even though the temperature was unbearable, he couldn't help but feel relaxed, because something good was going to happen today. After a few steps, Wen Mo stepped into the stairwell, and the sudden drop in temperature made him so comfortable that he couldn't speak.

"It feels so familiar."

He suddenly felt like laughing. After pausing in the hallway for a few seconds, he got into the elevator as usual, pressed the floor button skillfully, and stood on his floor a few seconds later.

As always, I coughed twice to wake up the motion-activated lights in the hallway, and all the furnishings in the brightly lit hallway were on full display.

Wen Mo walked with his head down, groping for his keys in his pocket. He hummed a song and looked up to open the door, but then stopped, his gaze fixed on a slender figure in the stairwell of his building.

In his line of sight, a girl sat half-sitting by the stairwell, seemingly oblivious to the sound of Wen Mo's footsteps, leaning against the wall with her eyes closed and silent.

Her face had a healthy rosy glow, her long hair cascaded down her back, and she occasionally nodded slightly as she sat on the ground, hugging her knees with both hands.

Upon closer inspection, a few strands of hair clung to her cheeks. She wore a loose-fitting white t-shirt, which seemed to be clinging to her body due to excessive sweating. Her blue jeans were brand new, and her white sneakers were spotless.

"I'm not wearing a single ponytail anymore."

Wen Mo muttered to himself, gazing at the familiar figure before him. Countless emotions settled in the corridor, a place that felt both warm and reassuring.

I don't know if she was asleep or what, but a few seconds passed and there was no sound at all.

Wen Mo slowly squatted down, placed the ice water he had just bought aside, and poked the girl's shoulder, "Wake up, don't sleep here."

Several seconds passed, but the girl still didn't open her eyes.

Seeing that she didn't move, Wen Mo raised an eyebrow, turned around, picked up the ice water from the ground, and pressed the ice water, still covered in dew, to the girl's forehead.

Under Wenmo's control, the girl's eyelashes trembled slightly, as if she had finally woken up. Her tired eyes slowly opened, filled with confusion.

Their eyes met, and Wenmo met a pair of clear eyes.

"Hey, long time no see."

The girl's eyes flickered slightly, even showing a hint of emotion. Her previously expressionless face finally changed, giving off a strange feeling. She just stared silently at Wen Mo in front of her.

I had a faint urge to hug her.

"What's wrong? You've forgotten how to speak after not seeing her for so long?" Wen Mo tilted his head, suppressing the excitement in his heart, waiting for the girl's response.

Wen Mo found it amusing and got up, just about to pull her to open the door, when he felt his sleeve being gently tugged.

The girl had been staring intently at him with her emotionless eyes, as if she had discovered something.

"Found it."

After a few seconds of silence, the girl spoke her first words since they met in a soft voice, her lips curving slightly and her eyes forming crescent moons.

At the same time, she slowly stretched out her hands, stood up, and suddenly hugged Wen Mo in front of her. She raised her clear eyes and excitedly repeated what she had just said, her words carrying her original smile.

"Found you!"
