Five minutes before the bell rang for the last class of the morning, all the students handed in their test papers, each with a relieved expression.
Xia Lian's expression remained indifferent, as if the exam was just a casual matter. With Wen Mo not by her side, she wasn't in a good mood today.
"The test was so hard~" Yin Tao complained to Xia Lian as soon as get out of class ended. "Xia Lian, how did you do on the test?"
At that moment, however, she was preoccupied with having lunch with Wen Mo, and it took her a long time to realize what was happening.
"I did just okay on the test," Xia Lian said softly.
Even when I'm feeling down, I can still do a lot of practice tests. Although I don't know if I got them right, there are almost no questions I can't answer.
"Ordinary" is the most appropriate word to describe it.
"Hehe, then we're the same." Yin Tao said with a grin. She was already very happy to have passed the exam.
Xia Lian nodded in agreement, but her gaze never left the clock on the classroom wall. Exams were due five minutes early, and there were still five minutes left before get out of class ended.
"Xiao Lian, do you want to eat outside the school later? Let's all go together," Yin Tao suggested, waving to Ye Qingzhou on the other side of the classroom, signaling him to come over.
During lunch break at Linchuan Middle School, students can order takeout or eat outside the school, as long as they return to school before afternoon classes begin.
Therefore, many students like to bring their takeout to the classroom to eat. Quite a few students in the class have already ordered takeout in advance, and they can just go out to the door to pick it up later.
Hearing her invitation, Xia Lian shook her head, "I want to eat at the cafeteria."
"Hey~ Aren't you going to eat outside the school with us?" Yin Tao pouted. She had spent the whole morning on the exam, and she was hoping to spend more time with Xia Lian during her lunch break.

It wasn't that Xia Lian particularly wanted to eat at the cafeteria, but rather that she had already arranged to have lunch with Wen Mo there, as this was one of the few times they could spend together.
"Hmm, okay~_~" Yin Tao said helplessly, "You must have dinner with us next time."
After saying that, when the bell rang, she grabbed Ye Qingzhou's hand and ran out of the classroom like a shot, their shouts still echoing in the corridor.
"Why are you holding hands? You're not a child anymore." Ye Qingzhou frowned slightly.
"Oh, what does it matter! Hehe, what are we eating later?"
Xia Lian just stared at their backs with a puzzled look.
Do people who have a very good relationship always walk hand in hand?
As she thought this, she felt that the white porridge in her stomach had been almost digested, and waves of hunger came over her. Xia Lian touched her stomach and walked straight to the cafeteria without much hesitation.
There weren't many people in the cafeteria. Although it was lunchtime, almost everyone had gone out to eat.

Wen Mo stretched, casually placed his pen on the corner of the table, and turned to look at Xiang Xiaonan and Qin Zhou, who had also handed in their papers.
"Finished the exam?" Wen Mo asked.
"The exam's over." Xiang Xiaonan wiped her nose and grinned.
"Damn it! We're doomed...!"
Qin Zhou clutched his head in regret. He had done terribly on the exam. He had spent most of the summer vacation playing around, and before the exam, he had even picked up a book hoping to cram for a bit, but he had been so busy chatting that he hadn't really studied...

On the other side, Xiang Xiaonan looked very happy, still sporting that playful smile.
"Why are you laughing so happily? How did you do on the exam?" Qin Zhou asked curiously.
"Hehe, I don't know how to do most of them!"
Don't get me wrong, she's laughing so happily simply because she's very open-minded. She knows her own level, so no matter how difficult the exam is, it's irrelevant to her since she doesn't know any of it anyway.
"How many math questions did you answer in the math test just now?"
"Huh? The test was math, I thought it was English."
Unlike the two people next to him, Wen Mo's expression remained as calm as ever.
"Hey, what are we going to eat later?"
Bad moods come and go quickly. Before long, Qin Zhou was back to his usual carefree self, grinning foolishly as he fiddled with his phone.
"How about ordering takeout? I'm too lazy to leave campus," Xiang Xiaonan suggested, leaning her head towards Qin Zhou. "How about we share a meal? We can save a few bucks!"
"Great idea." Qin Zhou happily placed the order and patted Wen Mo on the back.
"Wenmo, what do you want to eat? Let's order together."
"Huh? Oh, no need, I'll eat at the cafeteria later." He said casually, and the next second after hearing the bell ring for the end of get out of class, he got up and left. "You guys eat, I'm going to the cafeteria, see you this afternoon."
As he spoke, he headed straight for the cafeteria, afraid of keeping Xia Lian waiting.
The two people in the classroom had strange expressions on their faces.
"Did he used to like eating in the cafeteria this much? Why is he running in such a hurry?"
"Who knows? Maybe I'll miss the cafeteria ladies after not seeing them for a whole summer."
The cafeteria is very close to the teaching building, just a short walk away.
There weren't too many people inside, and there was no queue. You just needed to grab a tray to fill with your food.
However, Wen Mo did not rush to get food. Instead, he glanced around the cafeteria but did not see the girl.
"Where is he?" he asked anxiously.
Xia Lian is usually very obedient and would never break a promise unless there is a reason.
