Chapter 46 Clear Foolishness

"I forgot to tell you, I'm actually quite introverted. After a whole summer vacation, I didn't even know how to get back to the classroom, so I had to let her lead me." Wen Mo said seriously, her eyes full of earnestness, before quickening her pace and leaving Uncle Zhang's sight.

"How can someone get lost at school?" Uncle Zhang scratched his head in confusion.

Once they were a bit further apart, the two stopped at the teaching building. Wen Mo quietly peeked out and saw that Uncle Zhang's expression was still a little strange, but he would probably forget about it soon.

He breathed a sigh of relief and smiled gently at Xia Lian behind him, "Looks like we're being treated like weirdos."

Xia Lian pursed her lips. She could understand the look in Uncle Zhang's eyes just now. "Is this really okay for us...?"

She didn't care how others saw her, and she didn't care how others viewed her, but she didn't want Wenmo to be seen as a weirdo either.

“What’s wrong with that? Just think of it as a joke with Uncle Zhang. If he thinks you’re weird, then I’ll be weird with you.”

"Really……?"

"Yes, no one says you have to be cheerful and outgoing, and no one says we can't hold hands."

"It seems so."

“That’s more like it, we’re perfectly normal like this.” Wen Mo said with a grin, “Just be yourself, be yourself as you always are, being a little reserved is part of your personality.”

"Hmm..." Xia Lian didn't speak, but her trust in Wen Mo grew even stronger, and her calm eyes could hardly contain her emotions.

She didn't know if what Wenmo said was right or wrong, but as long as she listened, that was enough; she trusted Wenmo.

"We are...normal."

“You’re right, we’re perfectly normal!” Wenmo patted her head.

He still doesn't know what Xia Lian's life was like before, but Wen Mo understands that she must have had a very difficult time.

He didn't care about other people's opinions. Wen Mo only knew that Xia Lian lacked a sense of security, so he would give her that security. As for what others said, why should he care?

They slowly released each other's hands at the classroom door. Although Xia Lian's eyes still held some reluctance, she was much stronger than before. "Wen Mo...see you at noon."

She waved and turned to walk into the classroom.
