Chapter 65 Did they win?

It was quiet all around. It was his first time in a police station, and it would be a lie to say he wasn't nervous, but he forced himself to stay alert and calm down.

"Okay, we understand."

The police officer who was asking the question responded, explained the situation to the people outside, and then continued to ask, "So, you fought with those two people to protect your sister?"

"Yes."

"They started hitting you."

“Yes, and they even said my cousin was mute. I was really angry at the time, but I tried my best to hold back,” Wen Mo added, portraying himself as a gentle boy who had no choice but to fight back when he couldn’t take it anymore.

He was telling the truth, and it was indeed the blond guy on the other side who started the fight. Once that's clear, no matter what he says later, he can't deny it.

About ten minutes later, the police officer closed his notebook, having asked almost all the necessary questions.

Having already suspected something, and by comparing the testimonies of the individuals involved, the whole story was finally confirmed.

Two hooligans, having nothing better to do, came to the night market and saw a pretty girl with no one around, so they started having some ideas about her.

As a result, the girl's cousin caught him, became enraged, and started hitting him. To protect his sister, the boy bravely fought back.

Another funny thing is that even though it was two against one and they had the advantage in numbers, they still couldn't beat a skinny little boy.

In the end, those two cried even louder than the other.

"Officer, what will be the punishment for those two people?" After asking the first question, Wen Mo didn't stop there and immediately asked.

The police officer was taken aback, seemingly not expecting him to ask that question. Most people who end up in the station ask when they can leave.

"After reviewing the surveillance footage, with both witnesses and physical evidence, those two will probably be in jail for a few years, and they'll also have to pay compensation."

(The author doesn't understand the law, so just enjoy it.)

Hearing this, Wen Mo smiled. Well, at least this fight wasn't a waste.

That felt great.

"Thank you, officer."

"This is what we should do. We will never wrong an innocent person, nor will we let a bad person go free." The policeman waved his hand and laughed. "You're pretty good. You're a real man."

"It's nothing, I just did what I was supposed to do."

Wen Mo was telling the truth. He was so angry he felt like his lungs were about to explode, but to be on the safe side, he waited for the other party to make the first move before retaliating.

"Aren't you scared? It's your first time fighting someone."

"What's there to be afraid of? I wasn't thinking about anything at the time, I just knew my cousin was being bullied," Wen Mo said casually, describing the scene at the time.

As an older brother, who wouldn't lash out if their younger sister was being bullied? He wasn't scared at all; on the contrary, he felt he hadn't gone easy on her and should have kicked them a couple more times.

"How is that girl doing now? I'm worried she'll be scared when I'm not around."

Hearing Wen Mo say this, the police officer simply stopped arguing. He had already asked all the questions he needed to ask, so he got up and opened the door.

"She should be waiting for you at the main gate, with someone watching over her, don't worry." After saying this, the policeman gestured for Wen Mo to leave, and before he left, he smiled and said, "You really love your cousin, you're a good brother."

Wen Mo paused slightly, then smiled somewhat sadly, "I do love her very much."

But am I really a good older brother?

Letting out a long breath, Wen Mo nodded slightly to him, feeling much more relaxed.

The police station corridor was bright and stretched out before you could see a familiar figure at the end of the corridor.

Wen Mo wasn't surprised. He walked closer and casually called out, "Dad, I didn't expect you to come and pick us up."

Wen Yiquan glanced at his son who had just come out of the house, his face expressionless. "Pretty impressive, huh? First time seeing you like this. You can even fight now?"

“Just because I haven’t fought before doesn’t mean I can’t,” Wen Mo said with a smile, raising an eyebrow at him. “Aren’t you worried about your son?”

"Concern my ass," Wen Yiquan said casually, though his eyes kept glancing at his son every now and then. A few seconds later, he added, "..."

"Did you win?"
