Xia Lian trembled, seemingly aware that Wen Mo's hand had reached in, but apart from a slight shudder, she did not try to stop him.
It feels soft to the touch; through the thin sweatshirt, you can feel the straps inside the back.
"My hands must be freezing."
"It's okay." The girl shook her head, not caring whether it was cold or not, she just kept hugging him and even wanted Wen Mo to touch her more.
Wenmo's chest rose and fell, and despite the approaching winter, he felt incredibly hot. Even so, his hand remained on the girl's back, with no other intention.
The embrace lasted much longer than expected. The setting sun shone on them, casting golden glints. Their hearts beat much louder than they had imagined, their hearts pressed tightly together.
"Let's take a picture." Wen Mo rested his chin on Xia Lian's head.
"Photograph?"
"Yes, let's take a group photo."
Wen Mo smiled and took out his phone, only to find that he had already used it up to death that morning. Embarrassed, he asked Xia Lian to borrow his phone.
He turned on the screen, but the wallpaper that greeted him made him pause for a moment.
The girl's serene and adorable sleeping face was captured in the photo. To the left of her face, Wen Mo was making a peace sign, taking up half of the screen, and playfully winking, with a bright smile on her lips.
That was a group photo I secretly took before.
"You even set it as your wallpaper?"
“Yes, because that was the first time,” Xia Lian said earnestly.
"..."
Remembering something else, Xia Lian added, "The first time...taking a photo."
"Please don't speak so breathlessly next time, I beg you."
