"Luckily, we were only five minutes late..." Wen Mo yawned as he escorted Xia Lian back to the classroom, then returned to his desk to catch up on his sleep.
"Wenmo, what were you doing just now? Does it really take this long to eat?" Qin Zhou asked curiously, leaning closer.
"Your hair is tickling me, get lost." He pushed Qin Zhou's head away with some disgust. "I had something to do and was held up for a while."
"Oh, I thought you skipped class too."
"I'm not as stupid as Xiao Nan." Wen Mo rolled his eyes at Qin Zhou.
Meanwhile, Xiang Xiaonan, who was sitting on the other side and dozing off, suddenly sneezed and looked up with a blank expression. "Why do I feel like someone is cursing me from behind?"
"It's okay, go play." Wen Mo waved his hand and continued to rest on the table.

I woke up to find it was almost dusk.
The freshmen at Linchuan Middle School get out of school much earlier than the older students; they can usually go home around 6 p.m.
For older students, evening self-study sessions are optional, but those with poor grades must attend.
Wen Mo slung his backpack over his shoulder and headed straight for the school gate after waking up. Xia Lian should have finished class around this time.
There was a large flow of people at the school gate during dismissal time, with new students pouring out one after another.
After most of the new students had left, Wen Mo still hadn't seen Xia Lian, which made him feel a little strange, since she should have come out by now.
However, he wasn't in a hurry, thinking that something might suddenly happen.
Just as Wen Mo was lost in thought, a small figure walked out of the classroom, accompanied by two familiar people.
"Ugh, this is so annoying, why am I number one..." Yin Tao sighed, hanging her head. "How did they assign these numbers?! Now I have to stay behind to do chores on my first day of class, hmph ╯^╰"
"Be content, at least Xiaolian and I will help you sweep." Ye Qingzhou rubbed her wrists, still with that indifferent face, but her gaze never left Yin Tao beside her.
"That's because you're number two..." Yin Tao muttered under her breath.
Xia Lian took the initiative to sweep the floor with the two of them, because Wen Mo had said that they should spend more time with their friends.
The shadows of the three people stretched long under the night light, a scene that Wen Mo witnessed clearly.
As Xia Lian's semi-guardian, Wen Mo was actually quite gratified to see this scene, that she could go home with her friends on her first day of school.

Ye Qingzhou, however, did not react much, but her eyes inadvertently glanced at the man in front of her.
"Hello." Wen Mo greeted the two people in front of him with a smile, his tone becoming gentle.
When meeting your child's friend for the first time, you must make a good impression.
Yin Tao, on the other hand, looked extremely embarrassed. Just yesterday she had said that the president sounded like a "bad guy," but today she found out that he was Xiao Lian's cousin...
"Hello, President. We are Xiao Lian's friends. My name is Yin Tao." Yin Tao introduced herself with a smile, and then pulled Ye Qingzhou to her side. "This guy next to me is called Ye Qingzhou."

"Did you and Xiaolian really go on a secret rendezvous at noon today?"
After he finished speaking, an inexplicable silence fell over the room. Wen Mo's lips trembled slightly, as if he had heard something shatter.
Ah, so it turns out that the good image I built up has been shattered.
In the end, Ye Qingzhou reacted quickly. After flicking Yin Tao on the forehead, he apologized to Wen Mo and then pulled her away.
"You really have negative emotional intelligence! You can say anything." Ye Qingzhou glanced at her as if she were an idiot, her face full of speechlessness. "You haven't changed since I met you."
"Why did you hit me again...! I haven't even finished asking my questions yet!" Yin Tao looked at Ye Qingzhou with a wronged expression, then turned back and waved to Wen Mo and the other person, "See you tomorrow, Xiao Lian! Goodbye, President!"
Wen Mo smiled stiffly and said goodbye to the two of them, then shifted his gaze to Xia Lian, who was standing close to him.
Seemingly noticing his gaze, Xia Lian blankly raised her eyes, "What's wrong...?"
"You told someone about our secret rendezvous... no, about us resting in the pavilion at noon?"
Seeing this, Xia Lian nodded, but her expression was still somewhat puzzled. "I only told them... Can't I tell them...?"
