"elopement?"
Xia Lian tilted her head, clearly not understanding what the word meant.
"So, in order to be together, we had no choice but to pack our things and move to a place where no one knows us, and then work and rent a place to make a living." Wen Mo sighed softly, shaking his head as if he were feeling sad.
"Elopement is fine, but marriage is possible?"
"Hmm... I think it should be okay."
“Oh, then let’s elope.” Xia Lian nodded seriously, then ran to her room and started packing her clothes and luggage.
Seeing this, Wen Mo quickly followed to stop her, putting all the clothes she had taken out back into the closet, and even taking two pieces of underwear.
"Are you silly? I was just kidding." Wen Mo reached out and flicked her forehead.
"Ugh..."
Xia Lian squatted down in response, a red mark appearing on her forehead. She covered her head and looked at Wen Mo with a wronged expression, "I... I was tricked."
"Yes, you say you're smart, but you're actually quite stupid," Wen Mo teased, taking the lingerie she had already tidied up and putting it back in the closet.
A few seconds later, the girl even took out her suitcase.
"I'm not stupid."
Xia Lian shook her head, stood up, and seemed to be brewing something. She raised her eyes, stretched out her hand, and gave him a light punch without expression.
The punch had almost no force; it hit my arm but didn't hurt or itch, it just felt like I was being scratched by something.
"Don't hit me, I know I was wrong." Wen Mo chuckled as he closed the wardrobe, then plopped down on the bed, patted the bed frame, and leaned back.
A girl's bed always seems to have a strange fragrance. Even though this girl doesn't sleep in this bed often, that faint fragrance always manages to waft into her nose.
"Don't you even think about it? How could the two of us elope? Where could we possibly go?" Wen Mo put his hands behind his head, staring blankly at the white ceiling.
"I don't know." Xia Lian lay down next to him, snuggling closer to him and hiding beside Wen Mo, "I just want to be with Wen Mo."
The soft body could be faintly felt warm through the thin clothing.
"They might go to a small county with a low level of economic development, then work to earn money to rent a house, and eventually live out their lives without any ups and downs."
Wen Mo casually began to describe his imagination, but the more he spoke, the more distressed he became. It wasn't the future he wanted. Thinking of this, he turned around to face Xia Lian.
The two were pressed very close together, their noses almost touching. In a daze, one could feel their relaxed breaths, and a sweet, cloying scent filled the room.
"I want to make you happy, I want us to live a good life." Wen Mo said earnestly, reaching out to gently stroke her soft cheek.
"I am very happy now."
“That’s different. What I want is to be in a relationship openly and honestly, not to pretend we don’t know each other when we meet familiar people and then let go of each other’s hands.”
Previously, they were always thinking about how to hide their relationship, to the point that they had to conceal their feelings in front of others, and even had to immediately let go of each other's tightly clasped hands.
A week has passed since we started dating, and in that week, I would say I was extremely cautious, if not apprehensive.
It's getting more and more uncomfortable. Why is it so tiring to just have a normal relationship?
so……
Wen Mo looked up at Xia Lian, and their gazes met in the air.
"What I want is for everyone to know that you are my girlfriend, that we are together, and that we will always be together."
When you meet someone you like, you always imagine the future together. What Wen Mo wants is a stable, happy future with Xia Lian.
At this point, Wenmo suddenly remembered something he hadn't told her yet.
"Oh right, I almost forgot to tell you some good news."
Holding Xia Lian in his arms, Wen Mo almost greedily inhaled the scent of the girl's body. His hot breath tickled Xia Lian's shoulders, but she didn't make any other moves, letting Wen Mo's breath roam over her body.
“I’ve already told my father about us being together.” Wen Mo’s tone was very happy, his eyes crinkling into crescent moons as he leaned on her shoulder, holding the girl in his arms for a long time. “He agreed.”
After saying this, Wen Mo felt Xia Lian's body tremble slightly, but it quickly returned to calm.
The girl didn't say anything, she just kept hugging Wenmo, and the two of them could feel each other's hearts pounding as they were pressed together.
"I guess we've taken the first step," Wen Mo said with a smile, placing his right hand near her waist, which quickly stopped moving.
"Warmer, that's great."
Xia Lian raised her eyes and said, although her expression was indifferent and didn't reveal much emotion, she sounded very happy.
Even the corners of her mouth turned up slightly by a few millimeters.
"I've been so great, shouldn't you give me a reward?" Wen Mo added casually, while looking away from her.
Seeing Xia Lian's puzzled reaction, Wen Mo coughed twice and pointed to his cheek.
"Hey."
After saying that, he stopped moving and instead brought his face closer.
However, several seconds passed, and Xia Lian remained frozen in place, seemingly not understanding what he was saying.
“…It means a kiss.” Wen Mo bit his lower lip and explained speechlessly.
"well?"
Seeing that he finally realized what was happening, Wen Mo straightened his posture again and pressed his face against hers, unable to stop smiling.
"But I don't want to kiss." Xia Lian shook her head.
"...Why?!" Wen Mo finally couldn't hold back anymore, like a clown who had been rejected.
"Because Wen Mo lied to me just now, that was really mean." Xia Lian seemed to be throwing a little tantrum, but her calm eyes didn't show any dissatisfaction. Instead, she subconsciously turned her face away from Wen Mo.
"Not close, bad person."
Even though her words were so hurtful, Wen Mo was completely charmed by her, especially by the contrast between her being unhappy yet maintaining a blank expression on her face.
"Okay, okay, if you don't want to kiss me, then don't."
Wen Mo helplessly shrugged and hugged her even tighter on the bed, preventing Xia Lian from moving around, seemingly preparing something on purpose.
And then, the next second...
"Chirp..."
Wen Mo released his embrace, his face as red and hot as a boiled tomato. He jumped off the bed and walked out the door as if nothing had happened.
"If you won't kiss me, you can't stop me from kissing you, can you?"
He left those words behind, turned and fled to his room as if running away, leaving Xia Lian lying on the bed in a daze.
When she came to her senses, she reached out and gently touched the hickey on her face, blinked, her expression still indifferent, and tilted her head slightly.
"well……?"
