Her eyes caught sight of Xia Lian holding the lunchbox, and she instantly flew into a rage, screaming and pointing at her, "Oh! I didn't expect to run into you here, you little bitch! You messed up my daughter's head like this and didn't even apologize!"
The woman shouted, grabbed Xia Lian's wrist, and looked fierce.
"Let me go...!" Xia Lian held the lunchbox in her arms, but still couldn't muster any strength.
"My daughter gets such good grades! What if you hit her on the head and broke her?! Can you afford to pay for it?! Huh?! I think you're just jealous of my daughter's good grades, so you pushed her on purpose, right?!"
The woman continued to yell and scream, even slapping Xia Lian across the face.
"Smack!"
Xia Lian had a bright red handprint on her face, and seemed to be a little dizzy from the blow. The lunchbox in her arms slipped and fell to the ground, spilling the food inside.
"Have you been bullying my daughter at school?! If I hadn't found out, how long were you planning to bully Xiao Zhen?!"
The woman's voice was no longer audible. Xia Lian was being pulled by the hair and stared blankly at the food on the ground.
Standing to the side, Yin Zhen felt a little scared and quickly grabbed the woman's arm and shook her head, "Mom, don't say anymore! Let's go!"
"Don't be afraid, Xiao Zhen! With Mom here today, no one can bully you!" The woman was about to continue swearing when she heard a weak female voice coming from the ward inside.
"Xiao Lian, what are you doing outside? Why are you making such a racket?"
Upon hearing the voice and the address, the woman's eyes darted around. Ignoring the growing number of gazes around her, she forcefully pushed open the door, grabbed Xia Lian, and rushed into the ward.
