Fifty-eight Yellow Millet Dream

Fifty-eight Yellow Millet Dream

Yan Yanshu had a very long dream.

The story of the Yellow Millet Dream, often found in mortals' stories, isn't entirely fabricated. For a time, this method was also popular among practitioners, reliving a lifetime in a short period of time, which helped them understand the Dao and overcome their inner demons.

What is Yan Yanshu’s inner demon?

He never told anyone.

When he was young and ignorant, a woman took him to a place far away from home. The woman said, "Not far, only a thousand miles away." The woman said, "You should call me mother."

Yan Yanshu refused to call her mother.

He knew that his mother was not this woman, even though they looked very similar and even had some close blood relationship, but she was not.

She was the one who had sent him into Buddhism. A razor, heated by fire, cooled and passed over his head. The master monk's lips moved slightly, making a sound he couldn't understand. He was stripped of the surname "Yang," which his mother had fought so hard to obtain. The master said he shouldn't worry about his secular name, so he took a Buddhist name.

What is your Dharma name?

In fact, Yan Yanshu did not remember anything. There were many things he needed to remember, such as he tried to remember a way to return to his mother, but he could not do it because his mother died soon and he did not see her for the last time.

Perhaps he saw it, in a distant dream, as her voice and face gradually faded, transforming into thousands of flying birds, flying away from his memory. The abbot said that these were delusions and now they have dissipated.

"You were born to walk this path. You are a child of Buddha, a destined child of Buddha."

He doesn't easily get emotional, nor can he retain emotions. He is born like this. He is not moved. Monks say that this is his insight, but some people sigh and say that he is just a fool.

The fool didn't care. He would spend a day, a year, a lifetime in the temple. He felt no regret, nor could he understand the loneliness. Perhaps if he continued to practice like this, he would one day truly attain Buddhahood.

Until he met Lu Yinche.

The first thing he remembered was Lu Yinche's eyes hidden behind the curtain.

Human eyes cannot shine, but the stars reside in Lu Yinche's eyes.

He was unique, unlike every monk in the mountains, whether practicing or not, or the pilgrims seeking something. He was a knight from outside, belonging neither to the Buddhist mountains nor to the Yang family mansion. He was like a bird, his voice clear, and like his eyes, a single glance from him would capture Yan Yanshu completely with that natural light.

He must be a powerful cultivator, Yan Yanshu thought.

Lu Yinche smiled at him: "You, I've seen you before."

Yan Yanshu didn't understand what he meant, but the abbot was not nearby. Yan Yanshu looked up and stared into Lu Yinche's eyes. He asked, "When has the benefactor seen me?"

Lu Yinche thought about it before answering this question.

Yan Yanshu liked the way he tilted his head in thought; it made him seem more real. It wasn't that Lu Yinche wasn't as clever if he didn't do that, but Yan Yanshu felt like he was a god who had stumbled across the mortal world. Could he have any problems? Would he have any difficulties? Did he need to think, too?

Can I make him stop?

Yan Yanshu looked at him.

Lu Yinche gave his answer: "It was in my last life. Or maybe the life before that." He said it seriously, and Yan Yanshu knew he was talking nonsense. "You may not remember, but you were a sword spirit before, a very powerful sword spirit, quiet and aloof. Do you like swords?"

Yan Yanshu shook his head: "Buddhism does not practice this."

But he really wanted to say something to Lu Yinche. Was he here to see the abbot? When would he leave? Was talking to me like passing by a meaningless flower on a rainy day?

"My mother, my earthly mother," he said, "loved swords."

"I know your mother. She is a great swordsmith, and her works are famous throughout the world."

Yan Yanshu was very happy to hear him say that. He was very happy to hear Lu Yinche speak.

Then Lu Yinche asked him: "What do you like?"

Yan Yanshu found he had no answer. He couldn't say he liked or disliked anything around him, nor could he say it was meaningful or a waste of time. He simply meditated, chanted, and struck the wooden fish in silence.

Lu Yinche looked a little surprised: "I didn't expect you to be like this now... Well, it turns out that your hair is not exchanged for your expression." Yan Yanshu didn't understand, but saw Lu Yinche frowning, as if he was making some difficult decision.

"What's wrong with you?" he asked.

Lu Yinche squatted down and asked, "Do you want to learn sword?"

He might be a sword cultivator, the kind who really wants to pass on his sword skills.

Yan Yanshu had no interest in swordsmanship: "Do you want to teach me?"

Lu Yinche laughed: "Me? No, I can't."

"Oh." Yan Yanshu had no expression.

At this time, the abbot finally had time. He took Lu Yinche away, and the man turned around and smiled at him.

Lu Yinche's eyes can speak and smile.

He is indeed a very powerful cultivator, Yan Yanshu thought, I was almost captured by him.

Later, Lu Yinche really took him away from the Buddhist sect.

The master chef said, "It's up to your heart to decide whether to stay or go. It shows that this is your fate." Yan Yanshu only half understood it, but Lu Yinche touched his head, and his palm was very warm. Yan Yanshu didn't hate that feeling.

"You'll be hairy someday," he laughed. "You'll probably have smooth hair, too, which will feel nice."

Lu Yinche's hair was obviously the softest, and Yan Yanshu liked to lie on his neck while he slept, gently rubbing his hair. But he had to be careful not to let Lu Yinche see him. If he didn't wake up, he would feel itchy, and then he would shrink back, and Yan Yanshu could hug him. He had a unique fragrance.

It smells like flowers, and also like the malt candy that Lu Yinche often eats.

Who is the child after all? But Lu Yinche will smile when he eats candy, and Yan Yanshu likes to see him smile.

Then, Yan Yanshu gradually grew up. Lu Yinche said that he had nothing to teach him and that the way of the sword required a deeper understanding of morality. He wanted to find a good master for him, but Yan Yanshu didn't want one, saying that he already had A Che.

Lu Yinche laughed and said, "I don't dare to be your good master. How dare I take advantage of you?"

Yan Yanshu felt his hand brush against his head. He had to stand on tiptoe to touch it, but it wasn't like Lu Yinche was doing less. But Yan Yanshu was willing to let him take advantage of her.

Everything that's mine is Che's, he thought.

Lu Yinche took him to Chengxiao Sect. The old sect leader praised Tianshengjiangu highly. When he knew that he was already a Nine-Turn Golden Elixir at such a young age, he smiled so much that his eyes were hidden in his gray eyebrows.

His smile wasn't as pretty as Lu Yinche's.

Yan Yanshu wanted to leave, but he couldn't find the words to reject Lu Yinche's kindness, especially since he had just tricked Ah Che into taking him to the dark depths of the ocean to avoid the eighty-one lightning strikes, and not a single one had struck him.

Ah Che cared about him so much that when he saw that he was distracted, he put down what he was doing. But he lied to him. Yan Yanshu despised himself. But he still didn't want Ah Che to know that he was not a human being. If he told Ah Che, would Ah Che distance himself from him even further?

It would be better to join Chengxiao Sect, at least I can meet Ache during my rest time.

There are always heavy snow and wind in Chengxiao Sect. The leader attaches great importance to the foundation of martial arts and requires them to practice hard all year round. They don't need to go out for training until they reach the level. Yan Yanshu is the one he values the most, but Yan Yanshu is also the most hardworking one. He is extremely talented and never complains.

In fact, it is not tiring. If you have a goal and work towards it, you will not be tired.

Ah Che is his goal. Everything related to Ah Che is his motivation to keep going.

Until he heard the name of Lu Yinche from someone else, the favored son of heaven born in the Qichuan Lu family, who did what he wanted and was different from others.

Yan Yanshu was very clever. He immediately guessed who his Ah Che was and what kind of great deeds he was doing that had hidden him from the Heavenly Dao. He trusted Lu Yinche so much that he never doubted the rightness of his actions.

He was just anxious. He had to grow faster and harder to be worthy of Lu Yinche and help him before he could walk by his side.

Yan Yanshu led himself onto that path, a path with Lu Yinche as the main character.

A Che, who is capable of great things, is charming. He is inevitably trapped in it. He tries his best to clear the obstacles on his way and bluntly ignores Gong Jue's contempt. He will prove that he is the right partner for Lu Yinche.

The young and innocent A Che is also lovable. He did not let Lu Yin Che find out, and secretly exchanged letters with him. He got to know more about A Che in every stroke of the pen, and fell in love with A Che more.

More, and a little more, until it's all mine.

He was undoubtedly the luckiest man. All Ah Che's love was given to him. As long as he said his soul was hurt, Ah Che would run around for him. As long as he opened his arms, Ah Che would come to his arms.

That handsome young man, always smiling, said, "Yan Yanshu, does this count as me saving you? How are you going to repay me?"

"I will repay Ah Che in whatever way he wants me to." He answered him, staring into Lu Yinche's eyes, which were shining with stars.

He suddenly thought of the line, "The myriad sounds of the mountains give way to the stars, the cranes sleep again, and their dreams seem to continue." It was just like that, beautiful like a dream.

His A Che kissed him.

Lu Yinche was kissing him.

How could he dare to wake up?

How could he not want to wake up?

He's going to wake up.

His A Che is still waiting for him.

Wait until he wakes up and continue this long, tender kiss that he would be willing to exchange for anything.

Yan Yanshu opened his eyes.

He saw the top of Ache's head, and his whole body pressed on him, not even complaining that it was uncomfortable to sleep.

He smiled, stretched his stiff limbs, and tightened the embrace.

But his smile quickly disappeared.

It's cold.

It was so cold that even after being frozen by wind and snow for a long time, it couldn't reach that level.

He couldn't see Lu Yinche's eyes.
