"Wan'er, they said you were going to leave Yuezhou, but I don't believe it." Fu Mingchi moved the tip of his spear closer to Gu An. "But did this person threaten you? I will get rid of him for you today."
Ye Wanshu did not expect Fu Mingchi to come so quickly, and for a moment she didn't know how to face him again.
Slowly walking forward, she first ordered the soldiers: "Put down your bows and crossbows."
The soldiers looked at each other and then at Gu An.
Gu An nodded calmly: "I'll listen to my cousin."
Hearing the sound, all the archers slowly put down the arrows on the strings.
"Fu Mingchi, no one is forcing me. I just want to go back to Lin'an." Ye Wanshu said calmly, "If you have any grievances, you can come to me. Don't hurt my uncle."
"Resentment? How dare I?"
Fu Mingchi's eyes revealed a hint of disappointment. "I've betrayed you before. I told you that you could tease me, or even tease the entire Yongning Palace, and I would never blame you. But now the wedding date has been set, and the entire palace is busy preparing for our marriage. How dare you tease me at this critical juncture?"
Seeing his sad look, Ye Wanshu closed her eyes in pain.
She knew that Fu Mingchi must be very disappointed with her now, and even hated her.

Today was supposed to be their wedding day. The beautiful memories from three days ago were still vivid in his mind. He didn't know why it suddenly turned out like this.
He thought she didn't believe he could escape from Lin'an safely, so he came specially to persuade her to change her mind. He never thought that all this was just his wishful thinking, and she didn't care about it at all.
"I'll ask you one last time," Fu Mingchi said in a deep voice, "You came to Yuezhou out of helplessness, right?"
Ye Wanshu stood there with a determined look, and had no intention of answering him.
Fu Mingchi became even more furious and pressed the tip of his gun hard against her neck.
Seeing his eyes filled with murderous intent and the biting coldness emanating from the tip of the spear, Ye Wanshu felt a chill in her heart.
Gu An was so distraught that he quickly advised, "Prince Yongning, please don't act recklessly."
The soldiers also moved closer again. The closer they got, the tighter the tip of the gun in his hand pressed against Ye Wanshu's neck.
Ye Wanshu closed her eyes and said, "Your Highness, if you think killing me will make you feel better, you can just stab me."
"You think this king dares not."
Fu Mingchi raised the tip of the gun and aimed it steadily at her throat.
Suddenly, a sharp rebuke came from behind: "Prince Yongning, stop it."
Fu Mingchi looked up and saw Ji Yunze and Ji Yuan climbing up in a hurry.
Seeing that the tip of the gun in his hand was already pointed at Ye Wanshu's throat, Ji Yunze was frightened and his face turned pale. He strode forward to stop Fu Mingchi.
"Does Prince Yongning really look down on everyone?" Ji Yunze shouted, "Do you know who this person is in front of you? She's the daughter of an imperial official, a princess personally appointed by His Majesty. Yet, in your eyes, she's nothing but a piece of trash."
"Get lost." Fu Mingchi's eyes turned fierce. "Otherwise, I won't mind taking your life first."
Ji Yunze choked, but showed no intention of backing down. He stood directly in front of the tip of his spear and said, "I know Your Highness has a grudge against me. I have no complaints if you want to kill me, but don't even think about hurting the princess."
"Master Ji, please stop causing trouble." Ye Wanshu was in great pain and shouted at her adoptive father, "Father, quickly take Master Ji away."
"Does the King agree?"
Mo Ran's eyes were fixed on Ye Wanshu, while Fu Mingchi's eyes were filled with self-deprecating laughter. "You really do care about him. No wonder you were so humble in front of me on the day of the engagement. How worried were you that I would kill him?"
"Yes, I do care about his life or death."
Ye Wanshu gripped the tip of the spear tightly and said in a low voice, "Your Highness, if you wish to kill me today, I will do so. But you cannot touch Master Ji."
Guan Qing’s death could be a big deal or a small one. Once Ji Yunze died in Yuezhou, someone would definitely make a big fuss about it.
"What a pair of ill-fated mandarin ducks." Fu Mingchi felt as if his heart was being cut by a sharp blade. He wanted to draw out the silver spear in anger, but Ye Wanshu held the tip of the spear tightly.
"Are you really going to sacrifice your life for this scholar today?" Fu Mingchi said angrily, "Do you think I am worse than this shameless villain?"
"Yes," Ye Wanshu replied with trembling lips as piercing pain continued to attack her palms.
Seeing drops of blood dripping from the tip of the gun, Ji Yunze's eyes turned red with anxiety.
"Princess, please don't..."
As soon as Ji Yunze opened his mouth, Ye Wanshu shouted impatiently at Ji Yuan and Gu An, "Father, Uncle, what are you still standing there for? Why don't you take Master Ji down with you?"
His daughter did all this to help Prince Yongning out of trouble. Ji Yuan couldn't bear to watch Prince Yongning kill Ji Yunze in front of Gu An, so he hurriedly pulled him back.
