The Northern Crown, which Nalan Shiqi and Yunluo took, has a tonnage of 10,944 tons and 132 guest rooms. It was launched in 2010 and is large enough to reach ports that many large ships cannot reach. The devilish westerly belt is not just the Drake Passage, but is between 40 and 60 degrees south latitude. The sea area is located between the subtropical high pressure belt and the subpolar low pressure belt. There are constant westerly winds all year round, frequent cyclones, strong winds, high waves and severe climate.

However, the Drake Passage is famous for its raging waves. Because the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans meet here and it is located at a high latitude in the southern hemisphere, storms dominate the Drake Passage. The strait seems to gather all the hurricane waves of the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. The wind force is above level eight 365 days a year.
