In Tanzania, the main telecommunications provider is also AirTel, but the charges are much more expensive. When I applied for a phone card in Kenya, the staff said that the charges in the two countries were the same, but they were not the same at all. The price of the card was basically the same, but the call fee was 600 Tanzanian shillings per minute (equivalent to 2.4 yuan), which was basically the same as China Mobile.
